Refund needed »05/26/200904/06/20090

Through the internet I sent for "free sample" costing S&H only.Maxwhiteteeth then proceeded to take $78.93 from my credit card now that I have supposedly become member with the co. and they intend to bill me this amount monthly!!!! I never authorised this and wish to disassociate myself as a member and would appreciate a refund of the latter amount. This has been a costly learning experience for me and I would like to warn others. This method of selling is despicable. If I had a communication e mail address or telephone number I would contact them myself. This info is not available in the advert on the internet.I trust the mailing address you have indicated for this co is up to date.As a Scot I recognise the British postcode you display but I'd like an address in USA where I live.

3181Sainsburys Insurance
Total claims:2
insufficient cover »2/6/0903/06/20091

My husband went to post a letter 3 doors down from my house.  On his way back, he was hit by a car which had mounted the pavement and picked him up onto the bonnet of his car and proceeded to propel my husband onto our car, which was parked on our driveway.  My husband is lucky to be alive. He is suffering from a broken leg, numerous head injuries, chest injuries, a lost tooth and countless body lascerations.  My car has a damaged right wing, the boot lid is beyond repair and a smashed rear windscreen.  The driver has admitted full blame and given a signed statement to the police making admissions that he fell asleep at the wheel as he had just finished a night shift.

I spoke to Sainsburys, our car insurer, on the morning of the 3rd June telling about the ordeal.  Sainsburys informed me that as my husband was a pedestrian who caused the damage we might not be entitled to claim for damages.  I thought that my car only had a broken windscreen, so was told it would cost me £70 to replace as I didn't know the full extent of the damage until I recovered the car from police compound, to find the full extent of the damage.  Once I informed Sainsburys of this they said that they would have the car picked up and taken to a repair garage which they have, and that I would be given a courtesy of equal or better standard than my current vehichle.  Sometime later, I spoke to the company who are supplying the vehicle, only to be told by them that I cannot have a courtesy car, as they will be unable to recover the cost of this.  I have fully comprehensive insurance with Sainsburys, of which includes an allowance for a courtesy car.  I explained that I would need a bigger vehicle, as my husband will be temperarily disabled with his broken leg and a small car would be inaccessible and inpractical.  I do not understand this.  The man has admitted liability and has comprehensive insurance cover.  The whole ordeal was traumatic enough, without being told that I would be without a car, which I would so desperately need at the moment to help care for my husband in hospital.  As a result of this I am having to use London transport services, which I quite frankly find, unacceptable.

Finances are tight at the moment, with my husband being unable to work and I have found Sainsburys Insurance as completely unsympathetic and reluctant to help.  I was told by one representative that if I wanted a larger vehicle, I could, but I would have to hire one at my own expense.  I have legal cover included in my insurance premium and all damages could be recovered as the other driver has admitted liability for the incident.

NO PRODUCT BUT CREDIT CARD CHARGED »April 29, 200903/06/20090

I order a trial bottle of their product for $4.95 US.  IHealth Solutions billed my VISA card.  No product was ever received and before I know it, $79.95 is billed to my VISA card by DynamicHealthSol.  I sent an e-mail indicating that the product had not been received and I would like to cancel my auto-shipment.  Customer Service said they would send a new bottle and different means, rather than Canada Post.  Still nothing.  Then on May 27th another $79.95 has been charged to my credit card by Pure-G-Health.  Another e-mail has been sent again requesting that my credit card would not be charged again.  No confirmation from any company has ever been received that I will not be charged.

RENAULT SCENIC ENGINE »28th April 200903/06/20091

Bought engine from this company on 28th April and was quoted price of £925 inclusive of delivery and VAT.   Payment was taken from my account on 29th April for £1311 without my consent.    Realised on 30th my account had been overcharged.  Phoned the company several times on 30th and informed 'no one to take your call', 'manager will call you back after 5.30 pm - no call.  Called again on Friday 1st May and was informed that £1311 had VAT and delivery added on to it.  Was advised that engine would arrive that day.  Phoned late afternoon to be told engine would be here by 5pm, phoned after 5pm advised engine would be here by 6.30 pm.  No engine arrived!!!.  Phoned Trading Standards on 2nd May and was advised by them to cancel engine.  Phoned 1stparts and told them, also emailed them that day to confirm my cancellation and was also told by them to put this in writing.  Sent Recorded Delivery Letter 2nd May instructing them to cancel my order.  Engine arrived at my home address (should have gone to garage address as per my instructions) late Tuesday afternoon, would not accept engine and delivery company took engine away.  Received a call from Karl at 1stparts asking why I'd cancelled engine.  Explained situation to him, he advised that they would refund my money, however would take delivery and surcharge - agreed payment of £1,000 which he confirmed would be processed on the Friday and be in my account by the following Tuesday 12th May.  No payment received!!!  Called 6 or 7 times each day since then, put through to accounts dept ' no answer, left messages on answermachine - again no one called back'.  Spoke with Trading Standards again and they advised to send a Recorded Letter confirming that they had 7 business days to credit my account or I would be taking legal action.  Sent this on 19th May.  Received a letter from a Sharon Whittingham , Accounts Manager acknowledging received of my letter and that they would put forward my request for refund for verification and they would then refund my money minus a surcharge and delivery costs.  They advised they would be in contact with me for my account info to process the transaction.  Again no calls.  Have phoned again every day over the last week with the same response' no one available, no one in accounts, will get someone to call you back'!!!!   Now sending another letter advising that I have no further option but to take the company to court.

Max White Teeth »05/31/200903/06/20090

I ordered a FREE trial of tooth whitening product. I got the product but have not tried it yet so I don't know if it even works. But I was shocked when I get this charge to my checking account so I called the company. First I could barely hear because of static and feedback on the line and I asked for my membership to be cancelled. The man who had an Indian accent (lord only knows where I was calling) The man told me he cancelled my membership. I asked him for a return authorization # so I could return the product that apparently they already sent. He told me I could not get a refund. He said that according to the terms I was suppose to cancel withing 15 days and because I had not I would get no refund. I still have not received the product. I would like to find out if anything can be done to this company and their dishonest business practices. If I had any idea I was signing up for a monthly shipment I would never have ordered a "FREE" sample.

Fraudulent internet sales »6/2/200903/06/20090

On April 30, 2009, I took advantage of an internet offer for a "free" trial of Resveratrol.  I did receive the product as promised. Two weeks later I noticed my bank account was automatically debited $175.25.

When I contacted the company responsible via their phone number I got music on hold for about 15 minutes before I hung up and went to their website: Myordersupport.com.  I was able to see my billing history for a number of products I had not ordered.  I immediately cancelled the account but could not get verification.

Scam Scam Scam »5/27/200903/06/20090

I ordered the $4.99 trial. I had an even coming up so I thought I would try it. And it worked ok, but really didn't like it that much. It made my mouth all foamy and strange when it was done. So I call to cancel my account. It took about 6 times to get through to the gentleman who I could hardly understand, that I wanted to cancel it. Finally he said he did. But there is still a charge of the $78 dollars on my card. You are automatically billed after your trial period, which actually starts the day you ordered it. Even though you don't have any product and you don't get it for a week. They will net take back the product that is left. And I am out the money that I needed for groceries for the next 2 weeks. Please, someone tell me what I am supposed to say to my 2 year old when I can't buy him milk this week. Tell my husband that we lost $78 for crappy teeth whitening. It's a rip off even if I could affort the money. Do not buy from this company! Or any other teeth whitening company on line, they are all scam artists with out a heart and all they want is to overcharge for something that the world wiould gladly live without.

I ordered their free trial. I got my product. Which worked ok, but nothing spectacular. Then I got another shipment automatically. I called to cancel my account and send back the product completely un opened or used. They said they would not give me my mney back. That was how their terms worked. What kind of a company will not let you return something if you don't want it. As of now I am fighting. Do not buy anything from these free trials on line, they are all scams!!! Plus your 14 day trial period starts the day you order it, even though you don't get it for a few days. That is rediculous. How is that part of the trial period if you have not even received the product yet. So I don't have money for groceries for the next 2 weeks because theat $90.00 had to go to crappy teeth whitening. I am so sorry I just wanted to treat myself to something I had never tried before. 5$ trial now cost me almost $100.00. I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old son. Please tell them why mommy can buy them peanut butter and formula this week.

False advertising »April 7, 200903/06/20091

A salesman approached us at our home claiming to be a representative of Dish Network/Direct TV (these companies are direct competitors and are not affiliated in anyway with each other. He never once mentioned Southern Skies Satellite and could not provide a business card (he claimed that he was new to the company and did not have cards printed yet). He was wearing a shirt with the Direct TV and Dish Network logos prominently displayed.

He proposed an offer of Direct TV service bundled with Qwest High Speed Internet and phone service. We would receive a discounted rate on Direct TV service for a period of one year, free satellite installation, free phone and internet installation. To sweeten the deal, he also promised us a $100 American Express Gift Card, just for signing up.

We probed him for more information to make sure his offer was legitimate. We told him that Qwest has informed us that high speed internet service was not yet available in our area. He then got on the phone to "his contact at Qwest" and confirmed that service was now available. When we asked him about connectivity speed, he was unable to answer and nervously began calling his "Qwest contact" trying to get an answer. He said that the Qwest signal was far superior to Cox because it was not filtered through a repeater system and it came directly from Qwest. He seemed to have provided the answer we were looking for.

The next day, installers from Southern Skies Satellite arrived to install our satellite equipment. They told us that Qwest would contact us in no more than five business days to set up our internet and phone lines. A week later, we still had not heard from Qwest. We contacted Southern Skies and were met with disappointment. They apologized that we were misinformed by there contacts at Qwest, but service was indeed not available as previously promised. We asked them if the $100 American Express gift card was still going to be sent to us, they promised we would receive it after 30 days of service. 30 days came and went, no gift card. When we contacted Direct TV, they told us that they had no record of such an offer and suggested we call Southern Skies. Southern Skies denied they ever had such an offer and said we were misinformed or that we misunderstood. They apologized for the misunderstanding and said they would provide a check or a gift card for $100 and we would receive either in two weeks time. Well… two weeks past and no check/gift card. After several attempts to contact, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of AZ. In our dialog with the BBB, Southern Skies denied any wrong doing and refused to resolve the matter.
