THEY WON'T ACCEPT THAT. I COMPLAINED TO PAYPAL'S RESOLUTION CENTRE WHERE THE SELLER DIDN'T RESPOND OTHER THAN GIVING ME AN EMAIL ADDRESS AND PAYPAL SAID THEY CAN'T HELP ANYMORE AS IT'S NOT IN THEIR USER AGREEMENT TO ISSUE REFUNDS FOR COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS BUT THEY HAVE MADE A NOT OF MY COMPLAINT TO PROTECT FUTURE BUYERS FROM THE SELLER. Orange apalling lack of service »11/06/0924/09/20090

As a result of a telephone offer from WestTalk Corporate, agents for Orange Mobile Phones,  I entered into an 18-month mobile phone contract with Orange via WestTalk  in August 2007, their subscription reference is OR07273, Mobile number 07854-688193.  During this initial telephone conversation, although the salesman spoke quickly with a heavy accent ( Indian perhaps) I clearly recollect numerous assurances that the service in my area was excellent, and that they were certain I would be completely satisfied with the service provided. One particular statement I recall most clearly was one to the effect of:- ‘ We want to have a long relationship with you Mr Harland, and to that end we wish to assure you that we will provide you with the most excellent service' .

How empty, misleading and resoundingly insincere those words have proven to be.

From the outset, the signal strength indoors was effectively non-existent all of the time, outside - in small localized ‘hotspots'  far from my home it occasionally reached 1 bar,  never more. The phone was bought specifically as a present for my Russian  wife, but she did not start to try to use the phone for several months as she was out of the country after which we had a further 3 months together in Russia and France.  For the duration of our absences from the U.K. we relied on our non-Orange mobile phones - O2 for me and a Russian supplier for her, always being able to stay in touch using these services. When we finally returned to the U.K., in June 2008, my wife attempted to use the Orange network but she found she could not send / receive messages from inside the home at all, and outside the service was unreliable to the  point of being unusable - continually cutting out. I tried transferring the Orange card to other mobile phones  - the signal was universally abysmal or non-existent, whereas the O2 signal strength using the same phones was perfect.

,I first complained  to an Orange Customer Service employee by telephone in mid-summer 2008 ( perhaps July - I did not take note of the day ), however all I received in reply was a statement that the Orange system showed there was a good service available ( NOT TRUE!), but that I might need to go outside to receive it.

( O2, T-Mobile and Vodaphone all provide perfect signals anywhere inside my home!).

Even in the garden and within many hundreds of metres of my home I could not reliably find an acceptable Orange signal; I sought assistance at the Orange shop in High Wycombe but was informed by the spotty youth there that he had heard there might be a transmitter fault somewhere, again NOT TRUE. Having attempted to find some sympathy for my predicament by talking to Orange employees, I finally wrote a letter of complaint to WestTalk in September 2008 ( copy attached ). In this letter I requested a cost to cancel the account as the service was unusable due to inadequate network availability. To date I have had no response whatever to this letter from either West Talk or Orange, neither has anyone ever  visited my home to assess the network availability or spoken / written to me concerning lack of signal. (Of course, they might have tried to call me on my Orange mobile - but as it didn't have network availability, they couldn't talk to me could they!)

At this point in frustration at the blanket denials I received from Orange wherever I went,  I decided to let the contract run its course and to invest in another phone system for my wife . Her Vodafone pay-as-you-go phone and service are excellent, and life became much less stressful for both of us, to the point that I put the Orange problems out of my mind until I received a further bill for services beyond the agreed 18-month contract - the only written contract which was ever discussed and the only one I have ever signed.

I had received no acknowledgement of the expiry of my original contract, nor any offer to continue/renew/upgrade, indeed no recognition whatsoever that I had paid over £700 to Orange, never being able to use their system because it IS UNUSABLE!.

I have a complete set of bills for the contract period ( and beyond!), and apart from a very few calls made from Orange hotspots far away from my home, they show nil activity - not because we don't use mobile phones , we do often, but purely because we have been unable to obtain a reliable orange signal in and around our home.

( i.e. where the signal is ‘GOOD',  God only knows what signal strength ‘FAIR or ‘POOR' would give - negative reception  if that is possible!)

Having NEVER received any communication other than bills and advertising from Orange, throughout the contract period,  on 2nd April 2009,  I wrote them 2 emails of complaint, immediately cancelling my Direct Debit so as to elicit some response in view of their poor communication history towards me in the past. Other than the automated reply to my Emails, most forcefully reminding me that they wanted 30 days notice of cancellation, I received no communication from Orange , except more bills, until 19thMay 2009, when I received a letter saying I would receive a more formal reply letter from  Orange soon. The letter I then received, on  22nd May, was from the Collections Department (nothing at all from Customer Relations). This letter generally ignored  my complaint - a cursory apology was given, no mention was made of the complete absence of service throughout the contract,  the letter further included an insistence that I owed more money for service provided beyond the original 18-month contract expiry date presumably including the time waiting for a reply to my complaints. The letter  intimated that I had signed a contract for 18 months minimum, this most assuredly was not the case, the agreed contract duration, clearly written on the WestTalk agreement,  is 18 months. This, in English law and plain language means 18 months.

At this juncture, I will repeat that there has been NO SERVICE provided by Orange, their system has been unavailable to me on the countless times ( certainly in excess of 1,000)  I have checked availability. There has been no change whatsoever throughout the past 21 months, indeed I continue to check network availability several times a day, and as usual only T-Mobile, O2 and Vodafone are available, the Orange network does not register, yet subsequent checking of the Orange website  invariably confirms that their erroneous  insistence that signal strength is good!. I strongly believe that this is a bona fide case of misrepresentation ( or dis-information, or most likely a downright lie!) and should be investigated.

All my friends, family and colleagues who have tried Orange say that their general coverage is extremely poor, readily volunteering the additional information that coverage in Marlow Bottom is especially poor, virtually non-existent, and they have all moved to  ‘proper suppliers'. Indeed, one of my good friends added that, of the major High Street suppliers only Orange has  areas of non-reception on the M25.

The latest letter from Orange, received on 8th June continued with the insistence that I owe them money, only repeating the well-worn excuse that they cannot guarantee 100%  network availability, (which is  undoubtedly a legal escape-clause allowing them to sell to customers KNOWING how poor or non-existent their service is,  especially at their home address.)

The letter further added that if I do not pay what they say I owe them, the matter would  be passed to a debt-collection agency and further charges could apply.*

Of course, I feel highly upset at such aggressive intimidation, I have done nothing wrong, received no service  whatsoever for an outlay of over £700, all my complaints have been routinely ignored to the point where I feel I am being labelled a liar, my wife and I have been continually frustrated by lack of Orange coverage, my wife's family and friends have suffered considerable anxiety through being unable to contact her and now I was being threatened with the bully-boys.

The whole affair has been most stressful to us both. I am in my 60s and retired, I cannot afford to keep paying Orange for something we have not been able to use and still cannot use. In legal parlance, the product they have sold me is most definitely ‘not fit for purpose'

Also, their arrogant and dismissive behaviour towards me  is totally repugnant, I am a good and decent man and I am repelled by the Orange attitude .

Finally, on 8th June,  purely in order to escape from the continual stress and intimidation from Orange, and to avoid the methods their ‘ Collection Agency' could possibly resort to, I sent a  cheque for the requested amount despite all my feelings of injustice. From discussions with others I understand they are a most aggressive and vindictive organization who will happily  resort to dubious processes of law to bully and pressurize customers to pay whatever they feel is their right, regardless of the  pertaining circumstances. Of course, I would most readily sue them in a Court Of Law, but regrettably I cannot afford such luxuries - I have already  spent a small fortune for no service and that must regrettably be the price I pay for trusting their sales and service information.

These people are a major High-Street organisation, yet they are allowed to make false claims, to ignore complaints, to issue lies on the Internet regarding service and signal strength, to tie customers into unethical contracts, to browbeat customers for money beyond the contract period and to place customers with legitimate complaints on a debtors register - ALL without any compunction or justification.  Quite the most apalling customer experience of my long life!

no talex unit received »7th April 200924/09/20090

Having seen an offer to upgrade my Talex unit on the Talex website, I placed an order by Email on 7th April 2009.

The £67 payment for this item was made  to the company by my bank within 2 days , notice of the transaction being recorded  on my bank statement on 9th April.  When, after several weeks, I had not received the promised unit, I called the  company helpline and was told that the new unit was ‘temporarily out of stock' but that a new delivery was anticipated soon. I chased delivery several times over the next 3 months, always being told that the unit was still ‘temporarily out of stock'.   Having received a present of a Snooper speed-camera detector  from my mother due to the non-arrival of a Talex unit , I again contacted Talex, both by telephone and Email, to request cancellation of my order and refund of my payment. I was told that this could not happen because the process was completely automatic and could not be interrupted.

Having been away from the U.K. for 2.1/2 months, I have recently returned to again find no news of my order, or a refund, or any communication whatsoever in respect of my new Talex unit.

I cannot accept that a delay in excess of 5.1/2 months  fits the description of  ‘temporarily out of stock', especially as payment was taken IMMEDIATELY by this company, despite the unit being unavailable for shipment. The whole procedure is most irregular, probably fraudulent, and certainly extremely upsetting.

The Talex upgrade offer is still aadvertised on their website, so many other people could still be caught by this unscupulous company.   I am sure that their behaviour is fraudulent, and I am most surprised that they have not been investigated by some official body.

N.B.  I have recently sent a letter of complaint to Talex by recorded delivery, I expect not to receive a reply!.

I ordered 4 so called 'Lion King Special Edition' DVDs from this website, i waited almost 3 weeks for them to be delivered and when they finally arrived there was only one for a start so 3 were missing. Also it was fake! It had a cover that i could have printed on my home printer and the discs were bashing around inside the case leaving them scratched. I also noticed they had been dispatched from THAILAND!

Having contacted customer service i was firstly told to read the terms and conditiond abruptly, then i tried paypal with no success as i didnt buy it directly via ebay they have washed their hands of it and now i am being ignored by the website itself! No money back no apology, nothing!!

DVD's not received »21.06.0924/09/20091

As with all these others I have had a similarly bad experience with Moviebytes. I ordered 4 DVD's from them on 21 June to the tune of nearly £50. When I hadn't received anything by 15 july I emailed them and they responded very apologetically to say all items posted on the 23 June had been lost in the post and they had sent duplicates as a precaution. I then waited until 5 August and emailed them again and they said the goods were on their way. On 17 Aug I contacted them yet again and they responded to say that my delivery had been returned to them as uncalled for as I hadn't been in to sign for the goods. Again they were quite apologetic so I wasn't particularly suspicious and stupidly I agreed to let them have a 3rd try at sending the items. I then contacted them on 16 Sept and subsequently on 21 Sept with no response. I then found this website and read all the other posts about this site and realised I've been royally ripped off - unable to claim via Paypal as the time elapsed is too long and I paid on my Switch card so cannot claim any of the money back  :( I contacted my local trading standards office about them to see if anything could be done but they have checked an apparently the website is registered in Singapore, even though it has  co.uk address, so there is absolutely nothing they can do....

Easy White Labs - money scam »8/13/0924/09/20090

I placed an order with Easy White for a "free sample".  That's how it was advertised.  No other terms or conditions were given.  All I had to do was pay for shipping, which is how they got my credit card number.

When additional charges started appearing on my credit card, I called to complain.  I was told that I had been given the terms prior to purchase.  This is absolutely not true.  Nowhere did these or any terms appear on the ad for the free sample.  I never would have agreed otherwise.

Their customer service refused to give me back my money, they refused to let me return the product, and they refused to give me any information as to who runs the company, who is in charge, where they are located, etc.

When I tried to contact the "parent company", Adex Media, I was responded to by another "Easy White Supervisor" (though his email address was Jack.Slavin@OvernightGenius.com.  Who knows who's running it!

After some research, I have found that Adex Media, Inc. has multiple dba identities (Easy White Labs, Rezactiv, Acai Alive, Overnight Genius, Digital Instructor, etc).

Tell everyone you know to avoid Easy White Labs.  They are stealing people's money and getting away with it!

I just received an unauthorized transaction on my account, and on top of that I was charged an international transaction fee!

The only thing I have purchased online is Aciaburn, however I purchased it and not the "free" sample they offer to avoid an auto enrollment. After receiving this charge on my account I called some number i got off of google, and Aciaburn said it was not them and all my accounts were cancelled and I wouldn't receive any more charges from them and it was a different company. I find this hard to believe as all complaints concerning this company came after an Acia Berry purchase.

These are the numbers that I was able to call concerning my Aciaburn product:

5024 A Solid Gold Sound
Total claims:3
$600 »09-06-0923/09/20091

A Solid Gold Sound DJ/Video Services is a nationwide Internet DJ/Video company ran by John Kruer with home offices in Kentucky.

I contacted this company back in June to contract their services. At that time I PREPAID IN FULL the total due for the services I was to receive on my wedding day. The first incident that took me back was when I had called to inquire about their services and got a disconnected signal for the # listed for the Kansas City # on the Website.

I then called the 1-800 # and told the representative about this which he replied "I will have to look into that". They later took this # off the website. I also found out later that this company contracts local DJ's and had no local office. I then called a few weeks later to inquire about the free gifts offered on the website. I told the phone representative that I had never received the "Free Gifts"(money saving reports & countdown to wedding date clock)that was advertised on the website, at that time the representative laughed at me and told me he would look into it. I never heard anything else on that. Once I had my song list complete around 75 songs from the companies list and around 30 that I added. I faxed and emailed the list to their office. I then waited until 6 days prior to my wedding to call their office to ask when my DJ would be contacting me. I was told 7-10 days prior to my event. When I told the representative it was 6 days out she said "OH, well let me give
you his # so you can get ahold of him". I thought ok I will contact him instead of him calling me? I then called and spoke to the DJ who then told me he never received any info on my event from A Solid Gold Sound and he would have to call in and then get back to me. He did return the call later in the evening stating he had spoke with their office and after discussing it he was going to "pull me out of the fire" by doing my event, at that time I asked why was I "in the fire" to begin with? I was told that he was already booked for the day of my event but was going to cancel it, to do mine. I thought this strange considering I had PREPAID IN FULL MONTHS AGO. The DJ then asked me to send him my song list. I told him I had already sent it to their office twice and thought he could get it from them. He then went on to tell me how "unreliable" their office is and would prefer if I sent it direct. I told him I would, and arranged for a follow up call the next day. I called the Solid Gold Sound office the next morning to discuss how unhappy I was with the service so far and just wanted to get this done. I was told by their office that the DJ was a good DJ but was rather "full of himself" and he DID have the song list I had sent. I then called the DJ and he told me "no" he had not yet received it, and asked again if I would send it to him direct. I sent him the list and everything seemed to finally be headed in the right direction. I spoke with the DJ again the next day(3 days before the wedding) and arranged to bring the 8 or so songs he could not get, and told him if he needed anything else to let me know. This brings us to the wedding day. The DJ showed up on time to the event and the first thing we went over was where he would set up. After we got that cleared up he then asked about power, the owner of the establishment showed him where the power was located(about 30ft from the set up location). He then asked the owner for an extension cord! Even the owner was laughing and said "well the professional DJ's usually have an extension cord". Well the DJ had some sort of excuse for that. But the owner was nice enough to loan him one and he began to set up. Prior to the ceremony I asked the DJ if he had the ceremony music ready? He looked at me and said well no. I had discussed this with their office weeks earlier about him doing the ceremony music. And was told that's fine he would do it. That's why I paid for him to be there a half hour prior to my ceremony. Well regardless the DJ finished setting up, played a little easy listening music prior to my ceremony then got to relax playing no music for about 30 to 45 min during the ceremony. Once the ceremony was over and we came back to reception area the DJ then began to play some music. After about 20 min or so my new wife asked why he had yet to play one of our songs from the music we had selected. When I approached him and asked about this he told me "Well someone last week spilled a drink on my laptop so I'm using this backup laptop" I asked what this had to do with my songs and he said nothing, he would get some on for me. After the Wedding Toast and Bouquet & Garter tosses, we danced to our song (that I had to bring, that is available on I tunes). This was about 45 minutes of what I actually paid for. But soon after my wife again approached me and said she had heard this same song 3 times and had yet to hear a song from our play list! This was over half way through our event. When I went to the DJ to ask him why he was playing the same song he had played 3 times now he also had an excuse. He told me that someone from the event he had done prior had walked off with one of his patch cords and he was having to mix everything by hand? I asked again to just play some of our songs. After about another 20 min or so we finally got into our song list. Considering our event had been going on for hours I thought this to be completely unprofessional. Our song list finally made it into the play list with only about an hour remaining of music. After that I was more focused on attending to my guests and my new Bride. The DJ packed up and left exactly at his scheduled time. The next day when my wife and I discussed the entire day she said the only thing that she would have changed was the DJ. When I spoke with many friends and family they all said the same thing "Your wedding was beautiful but that DJ was awful" I agree with them.

I paid this company IN FULL AND IN ADVANCE for a what I was expecting to be a good job. It was most certainly not a good job.

Since my event I have contacted their office to ask for a some sort of refund all I have got back are rude defensive emails. The [customer service] (link: http://www.my3cents.com/companyReview.cgi?compid=&subcat=6) was horrible from the beginning and the DJ was awful. The entire staff was unprofessional and rude.

I hope that anyone who is looking for a quality DJ stays clear of this company, after searching for complaints on this company(something I wish I would have done prior) I found many many complaints on them. The national BBB office gives this company an F rating which is the lowest possible.

Since this date, I have not received the title requested, and although they did reply to a few of my enquiries, it is now the 23rd September, and I have still not received the title, despite several 'enquires' : My last one (a week ago) was written in anger, and not 100% polite (use * to substitute letters of swear words) but by this point I'd had enough!

I had orderd other titles in previous orders, which arrive fine, and yet this one not so (title was called 'Extreme Close up with Jenna Jameson).

Taken money without receiving product and also fradulent small amounts under other company names »23/09/200923/09/20091

I again feel for this scam I ordered a free trial from Dazzle white pro for $1.95 and received a receipt off them for $11.95.  I used the product and didn't think it made any difference so thought it wasn't a problem as this wasa trial only, then a month later I received a package with more Dazzle white in, I was confussed and rang them to say I did not order this.  They said no problem send it back then they will refund my money, which I was happy with but then when I received my statement this month they have taken 2 lots of $58.71 when I have never received the second consignment, also they have fradulently taken payments for $3.24 under a company called elite pack.  I rang my card company as I was so upset for them to inform me they have taken out another payment if $4.99 under a different company name.  They are passing this on to their fraud department to try and recover the payments.  As other people have said I don't have much money and this is alot to lose, I can't believe that people can be so cruel.  I did ring the company but they said I would not receive any refunds, I just hope this might work.  Any help would be appreciated.
