| 29328 | Arighi bianchi Total claims:2 | Dye Transfer Lazyboy 3 piece suite » | 10/07/2013 | 16/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| My Lazyboy 3 Piece suite was ordered with a Deposit of £655 on a Credit Card on the 13th March 2012, Delivered 10th, July, 2012. I paid £2,000 balance on the 9th of July 2012 on my Debit Card I found that the goods have the following fault: There has been Colour Transfer which has damaged the fabric and pile flattening. The suite has been normally used by two adults and a few visitors. We complained to Arighi Bianchi in November. They and Lazyboy Service Company inspected the suite. Reporting Dye transfer from clothing as the problem. We do not dispute this. Arighi Bianchi offered to clean the suite (as a gesture of goodwill) which is not satisfactory. The problem will happen again. The suite has not proved to be durable taking into account normal useage since purchase. The suite should be able to withstand normal clothing fabrics without developing the faults in question. We are claiming that the suite should be replaced for one with a fabric "fit for purpose". At no time were we warned that we should not wear dark clothing and that we should inform visitors before they sit down and check the dyefastness of of our visitors clothing!! This was the comment from Arighi Bianchi AFTER the events. Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) goods supplied must be of satisfactory quality, be "fit for purpose" and match their description. As there was a problem with the goods when I bought them, I requested that they obtained a replacement with suitable fabric or give me a refund for me. I hope that you can help as this is a large purchase which I would expect at least 10 years use from. Our last "light coloured suite did not mark in 10 years use. Under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act1974 which makes the credit card Company jointly and severally liable for any breaches committed by the retailer I asked HSBS Credit Cards to help me but they are claiming an impass with the retailer. I wonder as they are jointly liable if they really are "on my side" over this issue. I am still chasing them. | |||||||||
| 29327 | Nationwide Loans 4 U Total claims:4 | Mis-sold loan application » | 29/04/2013 | 15/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| Hi, I contacted Nationwide loans for you as I was looking for a loan, they told me that I qualified for a loan without a guarantor and at 21.9% apr, all I needed to do was pay the admin fee and they would email me the forms and I would have the loan within 3 days. I kept ringing them to see how my loan application was coming along, firstly they said they hadn't received my email even though it was in my sent items so I sent it again the next day. A few days later I received an email saying that they has placed me with a loan company, I contacted the company as instructed and was told that I qualified for a loan as long as I had a guarantor and the apr was over 150%! Since this I have tried emailed and calling Nationwide loans for you and have heard nothing back! | |||||||||
| 29326 | limo broker [cardiff] Total claims:5 | Refund for limosuine » | 11/05/2013 | 15/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| I phoned Limobrokers to book a pink limo, the colour was my only stipulation. They informed me that a pink limo is more expensive than a white one. I understood, so I paid the extra. I spoke with their sale representative ‘Liam’ and he assured me that this was no problem. There were a few phone calls to negotiate price, but I never faltered on requiring the pink limo. I eventually booked and received my e-mail confirmation. There was no mention of colour, so I called them back. They told me not to worry, there is just no place to add colour choice on the confirmation e-mail, but I would definitely receive a pink limo. They had been very helpful and transparent, so I trusted them. Big mistake! The limo that turned up was white. The driver was rally apologetic and informed me that his company was hired by Limobrokers, he didn’t work directly for him. He didn’t appear shocked by this screw-up, it must happen a lot and actively encouraged me to take it further, giving me all his details. When I called to complain and asked for a partial refund I was spoken to rather rudely and informed that they have no record of me requesting a pink limo and that I was not entitled to any refund. I asked them to speak to Liam, the sales rep, as he will confirm my request, the refused. I also asked to speak with him, but they refused to get him on the line and told me to e-mail my complaint in. I e-mailed the complaints department and was met with the same response. I will now try and raise awareness of these con-artists and see what legal groundings I have. At the end of the day, nothing will change the fact that my ‘pink themed’ party was ruined. They juts simply don’t care. | |||||||||
| 29325 | FORTON MOTORS Total claims:3 | FROM A 'SMALL EMISSIONS PROBLEM' TO £1600 OF REPAIRS NEEDED » | 03/03/2013 | 15/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| Before buying the car, the engine warning light was on, and when questioned about it, Stuart the salesman said it was a small emissions problem and it would be sorted before i picked the car up - and I stupidly believed that! 2 days after purchase the light was back on, accompanying the misfiring, juddering and burning oil which was all discovered on my drive home from Forton and that night. Very annoyed! Let them know straight away and they were 99% sure it was the coil pack. After being told they couldnt fit it in for a week, I took it on the agreed date and a series of excuses followed in a 7 day period for why the repair had not been done. I had to pay labour on the 'repair' due to it only being a parts warranty, and the issue remains. I havent driven the car since March 25th, and had only been driving it up to that point because when I asked Forton if i should be driving it they said it would not damage the car. Again, after the coil pack was put on, it was 2 days later that the engine light appeared again, so I asked for my money back as there were clearly deeper issues and it was not fit for use -and i cant afford to pay out endless amounts of labour charges on its various problems. They refused and said i had 'no chance', so I rang trading standards who said it wasn't fit for purpose so i have every right to ask for a refund. 3 letters were sent to them from my solicitor - 1 of which they replied to, but they were twisting my words and basically lying to try and protect themselves. I also have doubts over the legitimacy of the MOT (and other people have had found them to be incorrect when VOSA has been involved), as this 'small emissions problem' is actually pretty big, as I have had a report done at the Vauxhall dealer and they quoted £1600 for repairs including new oil seals, oil leaks, and a new sump/crank seal. From the MOT to my purchase the car had done 20/30 miles, so its highly unlikely that these issues were not even slightly affecting the Emissions Test and the MOT showed zero advisories - and was lacking any info on the emissions test, no readouts. The Vauxhall report showed wear and tear e.g. near illegal tyre/worn brakes, but the biggest shocker was that it needs a new steering rack (£800 to replace) and they had commented 'DO NOT DRIVE' against it. Very dangerous car to drive then, along with the juddering and stalling at roundabouts and nearly at road ends/in slow moving traffic. Danger not only to myself but other road users. They continue to fleece the public, as the 2 other complainants on here will support, and they were selling my old car that I part-exchanged with a headline (main selling point) of only having 1 previous owner - I know for a fact there were 2 or 3 before me! Small lies but lies all the same to make a profit from other peoples potential misery/cost. CAR BUYERS - PLEASE PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THESE ARE THE FACTS. I just wonder how many more people have been conned and couldnt be bothered going through letters and court. On my third letter now, waiting for the 14 days to be up and then I'm going to court. 3 strikes and you're out! | |||||||||

| I put in for a loan of £4000 from this so called company THE LENDING HUB .I was so desperate to pay off my partners credit card.( The credit card has been used for us ) and we are paying so much interest on the card that I fell for it hook line and sinker. So I thought with a fixed term loan could get things sorted, how wrong was I, what I would like to say about the low of the low I would end up in jail, so I won't . I went to my bank the next day to say I'd been scammed and that I paid £190 to a company ukash and the people had taken my money. The bank said the money was still in my account but there was nothing they could do, until the money had gone out of my account, what a load of s***. I would like to say I will be leaving my bank to go to another, | |||||||||

| 29319 | auto protect [ Harlow, Essex ] Total claims:12 | STRUT AND WHEEL BEARING » | APRIL 2013 | 14/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. After owning my car for 2 months I noticed a front strut leaking so I arranged to have it replaced along with the opposite side as they are best replaced in pairs, I rang up these ******'s and told them that I'd had the work done as it had become too dangerous to drive and said that I would pay half of the bill as it was only the one at fault, NO we won't be refunding you anything as you didn't ask our permission to have it done, at the time of doing the struts my mechanic had noticed a wheel bearing needed doing so I asked their permission and got the garage to go through all the proper channels needless to say they said NO It's wear and tear, I was in the process of paying £550 for 3 years cover but after being refused twice I have decided to cut my losses and cancel my policy thus loosing £200 on the policy plus the prices of the strut and bearing | |||||||||
| 29318 | loan options.net [cardiff] Total claims:7 | Moneys debited without authorisation » | 02/04/2013 | 14/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| I approached this company to try and procure a loan, however I received no confirmation of whether I was successful or not. After a few days I checked my bank and seen they had too 64.76 from my bank account. They did not get me a loan or provide any service whatsoever so why should I be charged this!!? On top of this, brokers can charge a maximum of £5 for their services and if any more has been charged,like in my case, then it must be refunded in full (less the £5 charge) upon request. I have sent a letter and numerous emails requesting my refund and have had no response. | |||||||||
| 29317 | Your Finance [slough] Total claims:11 | Taking money without authorisation » | 02/04/2013 | 14/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| I approached this company for a loan and never confirmed whether my application had been successful or not, but gladly helped themselves to near enough £80.00 from my bank account. Upon trying to email them I received a 'postmaster' notification letting me know that the email was not received (basically meaning that the email account is either inactive or a fake). I have sent a letter to the postal address on the website and have still had no correspondence despite this being nearly a week ago. | |||||||||
| 29316 | nutragreencoffee.com Total claims:1 | Health scam » | 07/05/13 | 14/05/2013 | 0 | ||||
| I bought a product from nutragreen coffee not realising that this signed me up to an account. I wasn't aware that I had to cancel the account within 14 days or I would get further charges. I have had a further £69.95 taken from my account for a few health pills. I have emailed a complaint to the company and as yet haven't had a response. | |||||||||
