[23/11/2009] Avinash: Think the same thing is happening to me. Passed my theory test today and have been trying to get in contact with them but all 6 numbers I've got for them are unavailable. I'm normally so careful with my money cos I work so hard for it but it seems I've been conned by this sham of a company. I was only trying to make myself employable cos times are hard and I want to be able to look after my family. What an unbelievable experience. They advertise in the Sun, a national newspaper, in a recession knowing that people are desperate for work. A complete rip off. Do NOT go anywhere near them. They will ring you when they want money but when you need them they are no where to be found. Does anybody know how we can get help with making things right? This can't be allowed to happen to anyone else.
[24/11/2009] nuksazi: Apparently Hackney Trading Standards are investigating this, it's happened to my partner. Ring 0208 356 4929 and choose option 2. Investigating officer is James Grier.
[24/11/2009] Danny: They done same with me I lost £1900 not even done theory yet. I am very shocked at the moment. dont know what to do. This money was borrowed from people. I am going to call the sun news papers and they hackney trading standard. Anyone can advice then it would be very helpful.
[04/12/2009] Jeremy: The best advice for reclaiming your money from Pathway is to follow the following steps. Complete them all and if Pathway are guilty of dodgy dealings then all records will be held with the relevant authorities. Please pass on to anyone else who may have lost money.
1. Contact Hackney Trading Standards on 0208 356 4929 (press Option 2) – make sure you speak to someone and they have fully REGISTERED your complaint. Tell them how much you paid, when you paid and how long you have not been able to reach them. Do not let them fob you off onto Consumer Direct (we will do that next). Make sure they take your name and address and ask them to contact you in writing to confirm your complaint has been officially registered – make sure you are given a reference.
2. Do all the above but with Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 – make sure your complaint is officially registered and you are given a reference.
3. Contac the ‘Non Urgent Police Enquiry Line’ on 0300 123 1212 – tell them you think you have been a victim of fraud / theft and register it. Make sure you get a reference too.
All this may well help future claims.

[09/06/2010] sadie: I also paid out £2500 0ver 2 years ago to pathways. i passed my theory test and pathways put me through my lgv first. which i passed i then fell pregnant and ended up with very high blood pressure and to this day am taking high does of medication for blood pressure. i could not continue as dvla would not allow me to due to my health. all this information was sent to pathways and i was costantly phoning them regards them refunding my money that they were holding. and again to this day i have not recieved a penny of it back i believe it to be £1200. i can kiss good bye to that as well.

[31/03/2010] Mark Tucker: Like Grant Moyse,I have only just noticed that pathway have gone under.I got a re-training allowance as part of a redundacy package to the sum of £3700.(to which £610 of it was my own cash) I booked the course back in june 2009 and was told that I could do it at my own pace. Pathway kept phoning me to get my company to get the invoice payed so they could get my package for training sent out to me.I got a book and hazzard perception dvd to get me started and that was the last i had herd from them. Its only now the 30/03/2010 that I have realised that I to have been RIPPED OFF by the good talking salesman on the other end of a phone. Does anyone have any idea how we can get our money back?
[29/03/2010] Grant Moyse: I Too have just realised i've been ripped off by these scam artists, I paid £2097 for my training courses, I went to book my Theory test with them to find there phone lines are no longer available and there website is not in liquidation. Its so frustrating as i spent alot of time researching and phoning companies which sounded legitate, I choose pathways because they seemed just that. my email addy is chibi_goku@ntlworld.com if anyone wants to get in contact and help take these people out

Claim title: fraud / miss sold class two
[24/11/2009] KARL: Hi there, I just read all the comments regarding pathway, I'm devastated because I wish I'd researched this 'company' more.
My wife saw their advert in the Sun & because we need more money (because we've got a baby due Apr 2010) she gave them a call. Big mistake.
The smooth talking 'Raj' on the end of the line promised her the world, then when we handed over our hard earned cash he would hardly talk to my wife and was very rude.
I had lots of phone-calls from 'Natalie' who was trying to book me a course in Jan 2010 (even though Raj promised my wife I'd get a course by Xmas). She booked my theory test (due for 4 Dec 09) but then the phone-calls completely stopped.
My wife has tried calling them but there's no answer. We're planning to go down to their head office in London and taking a police officer with us to sort this out because if I go there on my own I'm not sure I'll be able to control myself.
Sorry to bother you with my sad tale but I'm so angry with these b*stards taking £1000 from us. It looks like we've been kind of lucky compared to some who've paid +£2K.
If you have any advice it'd be appreciated.
Thanks
Karl

[30/11/2009] Tracy: I've just seen your message and wondered if you have got any advice from cits advice like you mentioned in your message. I too have been scammed by this company and I'm livid to think they are able to get away with what they have done. Any advice greatfully appreciated!

[25/11/2009] Dawn: (25/11/09) Hi.I also paid for the full works with Pathway, costing me nearly £2700.00. I have done my training for HGV 2 but unfortunatly failed the test.
Since then I have been constantly been trying to book my retest and until this week I have been getting fobed off. This week however I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT THEM AT ALL!! I am unemployed and borrowed the money for this course from a friend with full intention of paying her back when I hopefully got a job at the end of my course. Now it seems Pathways has dissapered and I am left high and dry. Can anyone advise me on what to do?
[24/11/2009] Avinash: Hi Mate. I am in the same situation. Can't believe I've been conned. If you can get hold of The Sun or Watchdog etc, I'd be more than happy to give my story. We can't just sit back and let this happen. U ntil early last week they were still ringing me cos I hadn't taken out pass protection and they wanted another £300 off me. Thank God I didn't take it.

Claim title: non info before course
[25/11/2009] Dawn: Just contacted Hackney Council, they gave me a number for consumer direct 0845 404 0506. hope this helps.
[25/11/2009] martin curtis: i am in the same situation as you all are. I paid £1798 for class 1 & 2 training and lgv essential courses. I received my theory test which i passed, then tried to book my practical training. Same old story, dead phone lines, so I went to their offices on curtain road Ec2a3lu. I managed to find 1 guy in the office, apparantly he was the oprations manager who had returned fron 2 weeks annual leave to finf no staff present. He was trying find out what had happened himself. He advised me to speak with my bank. I today spoken to The Sun, Hackney Council, Consumer Direct and i'm just about to upload my story BBC Watchdog. we need to stick together here to stand any chance of getting our monies returned.
[26/11/2009] Danny: Apparantly he tricked me and my friend into putting money in this account
HSBC G ellis
sort code 40 30 28
acc 51287591
also they got my full details. I think they had some proper criminals working for them like that saeed and raj. I am worried about identity theft now. They did a fraudulent transaction from my friends account for £500 using diff company name. If any one knows more details about them then please publish here so we can take some civil action in courts.
[24/11/2009] nuksazi: This has happened to my partner. Apparently anyone who is owed any money (suppliers or customers) is advised to contact Hackney Trading Standards:
Hackney Trading Standards – 0208 356 4929 (press option 2). Ask to speak to the officer in charge, James Grier. They are investigating ...call them and lodge your query.
[24/11/2009] Lesley Biggam: Sorry to say we have been conned too , i will be phoning THE SUN and Hackney Trading Standards in the morning too , the more the merrier i guess we so cant let them get away with this especially as even upto last week they were still trying to con money out of good people trying to better themselves .
Let me know if there is anything else i should be doing please as im up for a fight .
I also contacted my bank to say i had paid for a service i never recieved and no refund offered giving them all the details , told them i think the company was a fraud too so that will be someone else investigating them and you never know i may just get my money back (fingers crossed) .
these B####### are on facebook , i joined their page and left a warning for others so they dont get scammed too , they are also on twitter but im not sure about that one so if anybody else can get a warning on there too it may just make more people aware of them .
[30/11/2009] Tracy: I too have been duped into this... I paid my monies a while back and was told I could contact them when I was ready to proceed with my training. They had all my details on file so when I contacted them after passing my theory I was told there was approximately 3 weeks waiting list and they would be in touch. I now have no way of getting hold of them. I thankfully paid my fees thru my mastercard (we I think I did anyway, i just need to double check) and have been told that I should hopefully be covered, but I'm not sure just yet. I am disgusted that they can do this. I intend on contacting Hackney Trading Standards as some of you suggest as well and we all definately need to see what we can do to stop these fraudsters!
[04/12/2009] Jeremy: The best advice for reclaiming your money from Pathway is to follow the following steps. Complete them all and if Pathway are guilty of dodgy dealings then all records will be held with the relevant authorities. Please pass on to anyone else who may have lost money.

[04/12/2009] Tracy: Hi guys... having read Jeremy's comment above thought I'd let u know how I got on. I unfortunately was fobbed off by Hackney Trading Standards like Jeremy said we probably would as they said my first port of call was to be the Consumer Direct company. Having contacted them they have confirmed that the company are in breach of their contract. If anyone is fortunate enough to have paid by credit card you have up to 6 years to make a claim, so dont be fobbed off by your credit card company like I was originally. If you visit www.consumerdirect.gov.uk and go to the templates there are letters there for you to use to quote this fact to the credit card company. I know alot of people have paid with different means but for those who have paid by cc its certainly the best way to try and get your money returned. I also contacted the non urgent police on the number Jeremy put above and they have taken a record of my complaint. I have been given reference numbers from both companies and have been told that my matter will now be forwarded to the relevant police station and someone will investigate this matter further.
We all need to complain about this company as much as possible to ensure that we have a fighting chance, so please all do what you can!... Good luck... I think we all need it!
[07/12/2009] Mark: I too am still owed class 1 training. It seems to be the same story. They deserve to be behind bars for preying on peoples dsperation and hopes.
I shall follow up all information and register my complaints with the authorities suggested on this site.
Thanks
Mark
[10/12/2009] LOST MONEY WITH PATHWAY? PLEASE GET IN TOUCH: We are solicitors acting for a company that is in a legal dispute with Pathway HGV and we would be interested to hear about your experiences with them. If you would be willing to help our client in anticipation of a court hearing in early January 2010, please send an email as a matter of urgency to pathway@taylorwessing.com with your contact details and a brief summary of your experiences.
[22/12/2009] Ian Barlass: Like many others, I paid for a HGV1 driving course from Pathway Solutions in London, address 13-21 Curtain Road and I paid £1132.00 which they quoted me £1099 on the phone and then they said if I paid another £299 it would cover me if I failed the test to do a re-test, this they called Pass protection guarantee, so I paid the full amount with my credit card. A few hours later, I rang them to say I wanted to cancel the course and they said they couldn't cancel it, so I told them I would ring our credit card company and cancel it with the disputes team and their reply was 'well do it'. The next day, I phoned pathway and asked to be put through to the guy who had taken our credit card details and was told that he was now in hospital but he said I was speaking to his manager who was called Syd. He told me to send all the documents back to them once received for a full refund. 3 days later when everything arrived, sure enough, I sent them back registered post (this was signed for by some foreign guy) as I had this checked out. All the phone numbers we tried to contact pathway on were all discontinued. To make matters worse, a week later when I checked my credit card online, I noticed that someone had been out and spent hundreds of pounds on my card, 1 transaction being a limousine company called Addison Lee in London, 2 transactions in Birmingham PAC 3000 ltd and 1 in Cheshire, and also booked hotels on it as well.No need to ask who got hold of our card details but having a hell of a job convincing my credit card company that these people were fraudsters who set up a website to 'con' honest hard working people out of lots of money. We are covered for the transactions where we didn't give our card details but as for this so called 'Pathway' we are still fighting this one.
[28/12/2009] Mark: What make this more dispicable is the fact that a lot of people, like myself came out of industry in recession and looked for a new oppertunity, people used their last savings to secure a future for their families and to keep a roof over their heads.
Driving jobs are hard to come by, but, the promise of work with companies they were recruiting for swayed a lot of people. I saw the advert in the sun news paper, they maybe should vet adverts more closely to stop this type of thing happening again.
I hope Pathway are made an example of in the courts to deter other shitbag companies.
Mark

Claim title: robbed
[22/12/2009] Ian: Those people who have paid by credit card should get their money refunded. Our credit card company has frozen the account pending investigations as my card was also used fraudulently by these people to purchase the hire of limosines, hotels and god knows what else, so they didn't just stop at taking nearly £2000 from me for the course, they then carried on using my credit card details afterwards. Now I have found this site (wish I had seen it before 16th Nov) I will be ringing Taylor Wessing Lawers tomorrow to tell them what has happened to me. This course was going to give me a chance of working again as I was made redundant from my job last month. So easy to set up a website and coin in other people's hard earned cash. Lets get these bastards and quick.

Claim title: Pathway Fraud
[03/12/2009] Jeremy: The best advice for reclaiming your money from Pathway is to follow the following steps.

[09/01/2010] garysymons@talktalk.net: on the 06/01/2010 i had the police round to my address for a statement as now they have decided they have broke the law and want all the people on this site to contact there police and give a statement to get them in court. its made it easier now that trading standards are involved and that they are in court on the 10/01/2010 for not paying there bills. i have already given a staement for this case to TAYLOR WESSING SOLICITORS so we should all stand together and get these conning pricks in court

Claim title: court hearing
[15/12/2009] Taylor Wessing: It is correct that we are looking for people to give statements about their experiences with Pathway, as our client is being sued for defamation by Pathway. Pathway's reputation is a key element to those proceedings, hence the need for the statements. However, to be clear, we cannot help you to get your money back. If you would be willing to help our client, please send an email to pathway@taylorwessing.com.
[16/12/2009] chrisbrobson: managing director of Pathway is a bloke named Steve White emails are still been received by him sw@pathwaylgv.co.uk not thr he takes any notice ihave been emailing him ever since I was ripped off in June.
[24/12/2009] 90 days to inform your bank: We have all lost money with PATHWAY SOLUTIONS. But Guys remember, whether you paid by debit card or credit card, you have 90 days to inform your bank in WRITING. You must all inform your bank or credit card in writing and you must all inform the POLICE.
[11/01/2010] Paschal: I have been trying to contact Pathway's myself to get my Class 1 training sorted out, but like the rest of you have been conned myself. Fortunately for me i had taken my class 2 but didn't want to take class 1 until i had a job doing class 2 first so i could get used to driving a lorry as 4 days training is nowhere near enough time.
[14/01/2010] mhbuilding@hotmail.co.uk: Hi I've also been taken for 2500 by these crooks. I'd love to meet the people behind this and confront them face to face. I've put all my savings into what I thought was a new career and now I'm left with nothing. I can't even provide for my kids. Please let me no any information as into what's happening. Thanks.
[17/01/2010] stephen-barrow@sky.com: it looks like pathway have gone into liquidation
[18/01/2010] pathway solutions ltd FRAUD: Pathway was operating in MILTON KEYNES, and disappeared from their Milton Keynes address, owing thousands of money to the public as a whole. Contact the milton Keynes trading Standards. This was in 2005. They have done the same in London. They need to be stopped.
[19/01/2010] jon : pathway have gone into liquidation check out their website, make sure you contact your credit card company. after 5 years in the business they finally gone bust, good riddance i say.
[02/02/2010] gary: i got an email from taylor wessing today 02/02/2010 say that the court case never happened as they paid the company out of court
[02/02/2010] haden: I got a different email, case never happened because taylor wessing pulled out because their clients didn't pay them..
who cares im not gonna get my money back from these !£&^& - i lost £1897
[04/02/2010] chris robson: taylor wessing case did not go to court because once pathway solicitors saw the statements made by the likes of myself and others who had been rippedc off realised they had no chance
[17/02/2010] jody lochery: Good news i have got my money back from the bank today , it took a while , i paid with debit card so i thought i would nt get anything back but then i did a charge back with some advice from this page , hope everyone gets their money back because its all your hard earned money that they took from us , power to the people
[19/02/2010] Pathway Case: The Pathway case did not happen. I was asked for evidence and I gave it...I then called to see what happened and the lawyers said the case did not happen. The lawyers agreed costs and Pathway just disappeared.
I hope everyone has got their money back. I got mine bank via the bank and a charge back. I used this site as evidence. Good luck!
[12/03/2010] duncan: I too was duped into handing over money to Pathway and due to an illness could not take the course si informed pathway and was told it was fine aslong as i had not booked any test dates give them a call when i was ready to carry on and up untill today i had no idea that the company is going into liquidation it was paid for upfont from my mums debit card back in 2008 so i dont think i stand a chance of getting my money back but i still had to pay my mum back for it ,,,,i read that they are trading under a new name and was wondering if any one knows if we can make a claim against the new company or have them looked into as if they have got away with it once im dam sure they will do it again please e-mail me if you have any information or can help duncan.wyatt@btinternet.com
