Claim title: Faulty Engine

[10/06/2011] simon: i also purchased a engine from trt engines in birmingham avoid at all costs first engine i went to buy for £750 was useless head gasket clearly gone so we paid for a fully recon engine for £900 my mechanic fitted this fully recon unit to find that was faulty again head gasket so i took the car on a recovery truck to them and spoke to the so called boss 1 week later and many many calls told new engine now fitted and i owed them £150 for labour i said i hadnt agreed on this but they said had to pay i then started car and engine clearly usless engine knocking told me would run in in 800 miles and take it i refused they said collect it wed came to collect wed then told another new engine fitted and collect fri i went today to collect car and i told them sale of goods act required 6 months warranty now there saying i cant have a reciet for engine as i paid cash and didnt pay vat i said thought price was vat included they now said i couldnt see car till paid 150 i said extortion back with police and spoke to trading standerds i then said i want a reciet for work done of 150 and i would pay vat on it the called boss who said again no invoice or reciet so 4 engines 1050 out of pocket and a lot of hassle these people sell rubbish also i now relised they have 2 ebay accounts 1 for good feed back 1 for bad i am also seeking court action please please do not buy these engines mechanics laughed when i said there engines rubbish these people are terrible to deal with avoid futjer updates with trading standards consumer direct and police how do i no engine fitted not stolen thanks for reading simon
