[21/03/2012] GG: Myloan thieved £69.99 from my bank acc with no warning. Having spoken to several staff there I got the 'refund' claim forms emailed, and was told it would take 30 days to get it back! No apology, no gesture of goodwill - I was just treated like another sucker who, as I've since learned, is one of many...no wonder it takes them 30 days to refund money they've taken without consent, obviously plenty of other complainants in front of me in the queue. Clarkson should have the lot of them taken outside in Macclesfield and shot in front of their 'customers', then he can whinge about the M4 bus lane. Roads never caused me to go badly OD and incur horrendous bank charges, these assholes did!

[18/08/2012] JulieT: This message is for everyone who has suffered this horrendous problem - PLEASE let your bank deal with this for you. I am a retired bank manager and have a lot of experience of dealing with these things. Imgine how I felt when my own son found himself in this situation! Ask your bank to treat it as a DISPUTE. Tell them that you have had no dealings with this company (your details get passed around from other loan companies)or if you have dealt with them, tell the bank that they did not tell you about this up-front charge. The banks MUST reimburse you - if the company can prove that they had your authority, and that you knew about the charge the bank can take the money back. In reality, these companies can never substantiate the transaction and pay up. My son had this happen twice and his bank (LloydsTSB) were very sympathetic and sorted it no problem. GOOD LUCK to everybody who are victims of these vile scammers - on this occasion, you CAN trust your bank to sort things out.

I have however kept a copy of the cancellation form that they sent me and a couple of email addresses that I can provide you with to try and get a refund. [22/04/2013] Suzanne: Son just found out £550 missing from his account over a few days after going to website. Eight different loan companies have taken money from £25 to £69.99 and the bank says some more in the wings. Barclays argumentative and say son authorised My Loan to give his details to others. Son explained no communication, no product and no service from any of these companies and that he has not authorised any of these payments and does not know what they are for. Barclays finally agreed to investigate and awaiting forms to get money from bank but will not give back My Loan. My loan already contacted to return money but remains to be seen, obstructive process so far. Son went to bank in person with ID to freeze account as Barclays say this is all they can do. Phoned Police Action Fraud 0300 123 2040 to report as I told son this is criminal no matter what the bank says. Got a report number which should make it easier to claim from bank and makes it a matter of police record. So far companies taking money are: my loan, my loan plus more, money gaga, smile finance, loan options, my money helper, right finance, money warehouse. Addresses all over the country including Slough, Cardiff, Macclesfield, Kensington.
SHOCKED and HORRIFIED that this can happen without any stop put on it by the bank. Bank account almost drained now of the loan he received from a family member to tide him over whilst waiting for his new job start. Incidentally he only gave his bank details because he thought he'd been offered a loan. No offers made at all so no original service either. Really not worth best part of £70 admin. fee. Wish I earned £70 each time someone accessed my website. So bottom line is this; you pay My Loan to sell your details to others and end up getting your bank drained. Heinous crime exploiting the desperate by taking money rather than loaning money. It makes my skin crawl, I could cry, and my poor son feels like an idiot close to melt down this morning. We have decided to fight instead. We have also sent registered letters to all apart from one (email only) after spending hours tracking down addresses. This needs to be done as soon as you find out or within 14 days, cancelling everything. My son has sent three communications to my loan now. FCA and ombudsman next, they must be stopped. I have searched terms and conditions and there is nothing in them to indicate that they will pass your details on nor permission/authority for third parties to take money at will. They wouldn't put it in the small print because it is illegal and they cannot duck responsibility for liability because of this and data protection rules. They are also responsible for costs incurred trying to retrieve money. Advertising drivel says they deal directly with lenders, one application needed, instant decisions, see results from each lender.

Please everyone tell authorities and get these unethical practices stopped so that other people do not fall prey to what appears to be a scamming network.

[17/05/2012] d: This happened to me also . i received a txt message then upon checking my bank noticed the £69.99 debited having emailed them every other hour they send a form which to claim and cancel your application, even if you didnt go ahead with it gives them the right to deduct £5 fee, i emailed 5 times a day , reported them with my bank to the fraud department , i got my money refunded through my bank and because of my non stop emailing them they sent a cheque out for £64.99 whic i have to give to my bank as thats the lgeal way, however we must report this company and im still emailing them asking for proof of me authorising them to take my money. they keep fobbing me off i will fight till i get the £5 back despite the fact they refunded the rest. everyone should report them to OFT !

The problem with this company is that in most cases they have taken advantage of peoples details and then charged them without consent.
The main complaint from people is that they never visited any of the above sites in the first place and don't remember agreeing to anything,
and then next they know is they are minus £69.99 and recieve an SMS telling them 'Thanks.We have taken your first payment.You may now
log into an account we have created for you using your name and postcode'
Not only is this very worrying but on some occasions people have had more than one payment taken leaving them penniless.
In my case - I'd just been paid and they took half of my wages.It ISN'T right and it IS fraud,and they need to be stopped.
