I was searching for a short term loan online and came across a 'comparison' site where I entered my details. Upon realising this company was a broker, I decided not to go ahead with it and came out of all the pages.
After realising (about 5 days later) my money was running a little low, I decided to check out my bank statements.
£69.99 was taken from my account by 'myloan.co.uk.' With some help from another member here, I managed to get hold of them and demand a refund. The woman 'Jade' sent me an e-mail with an attached document to fill out...a 'Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire' (what a complete joke!) and promised that if I fill out this form and return it within 14 days upon application, she'll cancel my membership and issue me with a refund with 30 days. However, if it was past the 14 day cut off, i'll lose out on £5 due to administration fees.
I asked Jade why it will take so long and she claimed that ''We have to make sure everything is cancelled with all the lenders and no loan has been taken.''
I find this disgusting how they are treating desperate vulnerable people...Let's hope they get what's coming to them.
