My renault scenic car door was caved in by a'hit and run' driver. Rather than pay £300 excess got hold of 1st parts4U who said they had a door in same colour. Paid on debit card. Door came -incorrect colour and bad condition-and 1st parts4U refused to pay for door to be returned. stuck with a rather large item that was taking up half of the shed i paid to have it sent up-anything to get my money back. Delivery company then phoned and said 1st parts4U refused to accept the door as it was 'unwanted' still no refund. Legally I am entitled to my original costs plus the courier fee to return door but am reluctant to pay small claims fee if the company can still get away with not paying (friends with businesses have had problems with small claims court) This company I have now learned is known to Trading standards but are still advertising in Autotrader

[21/11/2008] michelle hopkinson : our engine blew up on our renault espace paid for one on my debit card at 1st parts 4 u one came wrong engine, garage refused it phoned them again waited another 2 weeks would not give me a refund ordered another of someone else got that within 3 days still fighting them for a refund would never trade with them againabsolutely garbage should not be trading
[24/11/2008] Justin: Hi Michelle, I've had very similar challenges with 1stparts4u this month. I'm going to log a seperate case on this website and was wondering if you would too, that would then make 3 seperate claims so far in less than 2 months. Potentially we can then all work together to settle our claims?
[30/11/2008] Janette: Well, well, well. Me too. Ordered a part for our really old VW Golf on 14 Nov, told the price was £75, so paid by debit card and delivery was promised Mon 17th. Nope. Have contacted them every single day (except one, when I couldn't get motivated to) and have been given exactly the same runaround and excuses you guys seem to have been given. Two weeks plus and lots of impatience later, this part has still not arrived. I told them I thought it didn't even exist by now. Last Friday, 28 Nov, we were sent an invoice for £111.63 - which included a delivery charge of £20 which was never even mentioned at the beginning of the saga - and for what? Nothing has been delivered! I think this rotten company has a brilliant staff training programme in that they must all work their way down a list of excuses and they're all very well practised in the art of lying. Do we make more useless phone calls to them, or what?
[15/01/2009] Justin: I've updated my case history, written to watchdog, am in the process of contacting trading standards and now looking to persue legal action. Have any of you been able to make any further progress or file seperate complaints of your own on this site?
Thanks and good luck!
[21/02/2009] june : sir, i have been through all the motions to try to get my money back, please read my story, seems we got no chance, and it cost more to get the small claims court to arrange a bailiff, its a scrap yard with hardly anything in it i was told in writing by the court and not worth pursuing, I feel MR SINGH DESERVES A VISIT! something should be done. my email address is m_elsobky@hotmail.co.uk mobile number is 07825663223
[21/02/2009] june: Please advise all outcomes of your stories as i wont give up on this company they deserve to be sued somehow.Dont forget i have paid small claims court, and they have visited their so called premised. with no luck, there must be something we can do about this RIP-OFF!!
