After looking for extra income found a Companion website which seemed very professional, legitimate and was for social bookings. Sent details off and was contacted immediately. Had a persistant lady called Becki contacting me saying they had a booking for the Thursday and a possible one for the Friday but they needed the fee for the website and this also covered transpotration. A friend also joined and they asked if we would do a double booking on the Sunday evening - this time she dealt with a lady calle Daisy who was also very persistant but had all the details of the booing etc. My first booking was cancelled due to the fee not been received in time. The second booking which was for the two of us was for a Corporate event. I received a phone call at 9AM on the Sunday morning saying that the speaker was ill and the even had been cancelled. Delightful Stars will not return our calls, respond to emails and now the money had been received they have not been in contact. They have just sent an email with their Terms and Conditions, however we have pointed out that the only way they said they take any payment is when a confirmed booking has been made - obviously this hasn't happened. We have tried to get out fees back but they are ignoring calls and emails. I have kept all emails sent and received to them. On searching Google we found that someone else had the same experience. There telephone number is 0845 867 2367 or 0845 527 1646. Their bank account is under the name of Newvision Internet Sales Ltd - sort code 20-97-58 a/c 33144313. We have informed them that if we didn't receive a reply we would take the matter further. For obvious reasons we would prefer our names not to be displayed but are will ing to give any information you require as many other people are probably been conned by this company.

No one is so stupid to pay money to an anonymous caller insisting on a cash only payment.

[18/09/2009] eliza: How do you know it's a fake posting as the same thing happened to me I paid them a fee and was told I had a booking then the morning of the booking I received a phonecall to say that the client was ill and therefore the booking has been cancelled.
[18/09/2009] Ash: I was also so stupid, desperate for the money had to draw £195 out of the bank to pay up front. A message to you all, no matter how convincing it may sound it's all a load of bollocks and quite frankly I wish the person I spoke to ends up dead. Delightful Stars supposedly based in Islington London, all the info I was given is the same as above. I just wished I had seen it before hand, I said to this so called Becky O-Neil if it is a con how you people can sleep at night earning a living from ripping people off who are short of money or hav a descent job. I was told a woman by the name of Denise 32yrs old interior designer from Birmingham, was gonna meet me tonight. This morning I had a call at 9:00am exactly telling me it had been postponed, I hav saved my receipts from Barclays bank which I will be seeing tomorrow. The recorded conversation I did and other information I hav and will be discussing with the trading standards. From there telephone number it must be possible to get a trace on it.

All we do is try and earn some extra income to help with the family as we have a 2 year old and a 7 months old we both also work but wanted a bit more. These people just take advantage of people like us it really winds me up. They have no decent bone in their body
[23/09/2009] steve: hi to you all, at the end of the day it sounded good at the time and we all took the bate! i have been signed up for around 3 weeks and was promised a lady by the name of ELLY,she was a swedish make up artist and visits my area 4 times a year, sounded promising and like a fool i drew £265 out and paid it into an account, the tuesday after i was ment to be meeting ELLY,however the tuesday morning at around half 9 i was informed that she could not make it due to delaying her visit to the country, i thought it was dodgy then but now me and a mate have done some research and am now convinced that its a MASSIVE SCAM! my advice to all of you is to contact the police asap or they mite close the delightful stars website down and start up again as another name, who ever they are very convincing and professional at what they are doing.
