We have just been duped by Realmatch services who contacted us this morning to say that they had someone interested in viewing our car at 3.00 p.m. We foolishly supplied them with our credit card details, they took £99.50 which they said would be refunded upon completion of the sale. We felt uncomfortable about this unsolicited call (our car is being advertised through Auto Trader) and we called Goldfish mastercard to cancel the transaction which they said they could not do. We then contacted Realmatch, found the staff rude and unwilling to consider refunding our £99.50. They said they would contact the buyer and then return our call which they did not do. Noone has contacted us today about the purchase of our car, nor is the car even being advertised on the realmatch website.
We have written to BBC Watchdog and are awaiting their reply. We have every intention to take this matter to the small claims courts. Does anyone have any experience of this?
