Dear Sirs,
I have started an extention at back of my garden the 15th September 2008.
I have used a skip company for waste removals, I hired 6 skips in 3 months period. This company never issued a receipt, even if I have asked for it.
We finished the extension in the middle of November 2008, since then I have called numerous time to let them know that the skip was ready for collection, they always answered that they were coming in about 2 hours, but never did.
The skip still in my drive, as a conseguence I have to park my car in the road. Since the date I called first time to colect the skip I had a scratch on the car and a damage at the windscreen.
I have a picture of the skip dated the 16th of December 08, that day was a month already that the skip had not been collected.
Furthermore we have 2 little kids and it is dangerous and inconvenient for them when they go out to cross the road to reach the car.
So decided to contact you, we are ready to take legal action against them.
Kind Regards
Giuseppe Ricciardi

[23/02/2009] Rachel: Hi
Contact your local council they are and should be regulated by them also contact your local police station and report a complaint of them blocking your driveway that should solve the matter.
[26/02/2009] sarah: HI there, we are in the same position, hired a skip from badgers quick skip hire last year, asked them to collect in December and we still have it. Have tried everything, even offered them more money to take it. Council told me they have a bad reputation for this. Ours is causing much angst with neighbours. I don't know how they are still operating as a company. I sympathise. If you want us to help with legal action let us know.
[04/03/2009] mr white: Hi My name is Wayne I have been waiting 5 months for Badgers to remove the skip from my drive way I rang them nearly everyday for 3 months and they came out with every excuse under the sun.I tried everthing to get rid of the skip problem is that they know they have us by the short and curlies the only way is to contact your solicitor. The local councils know of their behaviour but the say their hands are tied unless the skip is on the road I suppose you could get another skip company to move the skip on the road away from your property that way they would have to collect the skip. They have been fined for breaking the law and yet they still operate...
[12/03/2009] sarah: The police and council are not interested, even if the skip is in the road.
Guiseppe / mr white, if you post your e-mail details I will get in touch.
[15/05/2009] mr white: AT LAST THOSE CRIMINALS HAVE MOVED THE SKIP IT TOOK SIX MONTHS I HAD TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION.ONE LETTER FROM MY SOLICTOR AND THE COWARDS CAVED IN,IVE SEEN SOME ONE ELSE WHO HAVE HIRED FROM THESE IDIOTS AND EXPLAINED WHAT THIS COMPANY DOES,I WISH HIM THE BEST OF LUCK TRYING TO REMOVE THAT SKIP.ONCE AGAIN DO NOT HIRE FROM BADGER SKIPS IN THAMESMEDE......
[01/10/2009] Kevin: Have been interested in your comments ove the past week. Got to admit these clowns caught me out as well. I hired a skip through Charlton speedy skips and ended up with a rusty bin on my drive since mid august with Quick Skips written on the side! long story but basicaly we all share the same issues.
After many calls requesting them to collect the skip(Im sure you know the story) I sent a letter to Badgers on the 28th Sept recorded delivery and believe it or not the thing magicaly disapeared from my drive two days later. For those who are reading this and scratching thier heads on posible action to take, be my guest and use again -
Dear Sirs,
Skip delivery on ????? Ticket No ???????
With reference to this morning’s telephone conversation concerning the collection of the skip delivered to ??????? on the ????.
I am writing to confirm (Under the Supply of Goods and Services act 1982) that if the skip has not been collected after ten business working days as from the date of this letter, I will arrange for another Skip company to collect and dispose of the contents.
Under the act I will be forwarding any subsequent costs and charges to you for compensation
Kindly be advised that I feel forced to take this action as I have made several requests since ????? for the Skip to be collected of which each time I was promised that it will be picked up within two working days,
Yours Sincerely
Good luck!
[11/11/2009] steve: We are is the same situation we have had there skip for about 2 month and the different excuses they come out with are getting better we have now got on first name terms with one of these cowboys and im thinking of getting all my fb friends and twitter mate to keep calling wont do anything but the thought of winding them up appeals to me. Have also toyed with the idea of contacting watchdog as the council wont do anything (im so glad i pay all that council tax).
[04/12/2009] Terry N: We are a skip hire company who have been in business almsot 40 years. We guarantee "end of next working day" collection on ALL of our skips. We receive 3-5 calls a week, from customers who have used companies, who don't collect skips when requested. Despite being offered money we will not remove other companies skips for the sole reason that we don't want anyone touching our skips.
All you can do is spread the word to family, friends, neighbours and colleagues that you have received a diabolical service.
Our ethos is that skips aren't cheap and our customers deserve a good service for their money.
Next time ring: 01689 821417, you will not be sorry.
[20/01/2010] Dean: I have had the same problem now for 5 months. I was even asked to give the driver a drink and he would come sooner. My solicitor has written to them today giving them the 10 days notice. I will also be contacting the council and police to advise them of the situation. If they fail to collect it still i will have it removed and dumped in the middle of the road so they are forced to collect it.
[26/01/2010] Petal: I have had skip on my drive for two months, two special delivery letters refused although I believe they are not in Nathan Way any more.
Think Trading standards should do more !!! I know if I ordered a skip they would be there as quick as a flash.
Maybe an attack en masse would be the answer - a company like this should not be trading !!!
[01/02/2010] natalie: We have had one of bagders skips since November, we have called them over 50 times, sent a letter giving them 10 days to remove and it is still outside on our drive, I have a disabled son and it's blocking the drive making it really difficult. My husband even went down to the address on the website and no one was there. now at my wits end with it.
[08/02/2010] Badger hunter: Hi Dean, any joy with your solicitors letter? We've had one since November and still not gone despite ringing everyday. Are they actually operating at this address in Nathan Way as I was thinking of instructing a solicitor but where will they send the letter?Any help would be good thanks.
