Wanted to become a 'social companion' - one who accompanies business people to events. Was promised nothing to pay until booking found. Booking found for the next day. Given credible details about the person & event I was to attend. Paid £265 for set-up/registration/advertising fee for 1 years bookings. The next day the booking was 'postponed' due to the person returning to USA (where they were 'apparently' from) - due to a family bereavement.

Was told they would quickly find me something to replace this booking and was assured this was unfortunate and 'unusual'.

Also, due to the initial confidence and speed of this 'apparent' booking, my daughter also signed up. She was also quickly given a booking for the following day. We paid £195 for her in the same way. Her booking was also 'postponed' due to meetings apparently being cancelled and the client having to return to Italy. But she was assured it would be re-established in the very near future.

We both smelt a rat and I immediately rang them and accused them of it being a scam. I was assured it wasnt and that in order for us to get some compensation, our profiles would be prioritised and we would get a very quick booking to replace those cancelled ones.

I also emailed them telling them of our bitter disappointment with what had happened and sincerely hoped this was just genuine bad luck and not a scam.

I have since been on the internet (as I had been advised by a family member that she had seen others being scammed by the this company), to find several others that have been through similar situations as us.

We have been made temporarily penniless by them, as we scraped the money together in good faith as they 'seemed' plausible and genuine in the way they operated.

We are now devastated that we have been made fools of. I have emailed them and also left a message on their answer-machine telling them that we have uncovered them as fraudsters and that we request our money back forthwith, otherwise we will join the others in exposing this business and closing them down.

I have read the previous claims on the site , and mine is exactly the same , i was first contacted back by the famous 'Becky' who was very persistant again. Surprisingly she foudn me 2 bookings already and we agreed one for saturday night , which was a works party in manchester.

She said she would work as my agent after id paid the fee of £230 to find me at least 2 bookings a week. Just like the others i recieved a call on saturday morning saying how the man had been taken ill !!!

since this i have not spoken to 'Becky'- she has not resonded to em emails or calls i have called them at least 6 times a day ! I have now reported them to the escort watch, and i am going to report them to the police . 

I sent them an email telling them how i was going to take things further if they did not refund me my money - AND I WILL SELL MY STORY TO THE MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS .

What upsets me more thjan anything is i am only 18 , i get paid monthly and work part time , i now have £20 till the next time i get paid in 4 WEEKS time, i have to find away to lie to my mum about were my money has gone im so upset at all this and i will not let them get away with it i cant even afford to pay my direct debits ??? i dont no what i am going to do , ive been so stupid

After looking for extra income found a Companion website which seemed very professional, legitimate and was for social bookings.  Sent details off and was contacted immediately.  Had a persistant lady called Becki contacting me saying they had a booking for the Thursday and a possible one for the Friday but they needed the fee for the website and this also covered transpotration.  A friend also joined and they asked if we would do a double booking on the Sunday evening - this time she dealt with a lady calle Daisy who was also very persistant but had all the details of the booing etc.  My first booking was cancelled due to the fee not been received in time.  The second booking which was for the two of us was for a Corporate event.  I received a phone call at 9AM on the Sunday morning saying that the speaker was ill and the even had been cancelled.  Delightful Stars will not return our calls, respond to emails and now the money had been received they have not been in contact.  They have just sent an email with their Terms and Conditions, however we have pointed out that the only way they said they take any payment is when a confirmed booking has been made - obviously this hasn't happened.  We have tried to get out fees back but they are ignoring calls and emails.  I have kept all emails sent and received to them.  On searching Google we found that someone else had the same experience.  There telephone number is 0845 867 2367 or 0845 527 1646.  Their bank account is under the name of Newvision Internet Sales Ltd - sort code 20-97-58 a/c 33144313.  We have informed them that if we didn't receive a reply we would take the matter further.  For obvious reasons we would prefer our names not to be displayed but are will ing to give any information you require as many other people are probably been conned by this company.

Hi i was looking for work online, An came accross DELIGHTFUL STARS companions, so i left my details, An a couple of days past an i get a phone call from a lady called BECKY who was very plesant. Yeah so im stupid!!! Im 21 just moved out of my parents house and im struggling so bad i dont have a very good job and most months i cant afford food. So desperate for a bit of extra money i joined delightful stars. they seemed so real i joined and the comapny were constantly calling me wanting pictures and a profile. So i get a phone call josh 25 from the united states wants to take me to a wine bar and clubbing for £550 a hired car from the agency would pick me up and take me home free of charge WOW i thought £550 to go clubbing its a dream come true Food shopping here i come i thought!!! so i paid my fee of £265. The morning of the booking which was tonight i wake up to see i have a missed call. All excited i thought to myself that must be the driver ringing me wanting my adress for tonight to pick me up. I had a answer phone message. JOSH had cancelled because someone in his family had died early hours of the morning he had to go back to the USA. But they would find me another booking. My husband and I were looking for a way to earn some extra income and we decided to go to delightful stars as they seemed to promise a professional and legitimate escort agency. We spoke to a lady called Daisy who told us that we would have to pay £265 for a years subscription to the website online brochure. We did a bank transfer and was told that my husband had a booking with a lady called Claire on Friday 18th Sept a car was going to pick my husband up and return him free of charge, she said we would get a call Friday to confirm what time. We did get a call on Friday but this was from a lady called Karen who said Claire was ill and that the booking was cancelled. Since then we have tried to contact Daisy but she is never available to talk. We keep getting told excuse after excuse. I sadly have been conned by delightful stars.sally was the name of my seemingly lovable telephonist who said i would meet a wonderful french lady the next day who would pay  me £800.00 just for my company...I knew i had been dun the moment i told sally the money was in their acount..the next day,the same trick and lie...Sorry your clients ill...They are lieing folks....They wont give money back....lets close them down!!!!They wont respond to phone and have stopped responding email...con artists stealing stupid folks money,i one of them

I found this "escort agency" called Delightful stars and contacted them looking for work.  They seemed all real and I thought great at last I can set myself back up again financially (especially in the job climate and recession) by doing a bit of non-sexual or sexual escort work.  They asked me for pictures which I sent in, thankfully no incriminating ones, they said they loved the look of me (which they probably tell everyone to get them hooked and eager to carry on) I unfortunately fell for this and carried on.  They proceeded to take my details of myself- personality traits, eye colour, bra size, measurments, heights and the like.

This is where the scamming part comes in, to finalise me being a fully-fleged working escort I had to pay £265.00 for a "booking fee".  They even said they already had a date lined up for the very same night and I would "earn" £500. At that time I was thinking brilliant, I can afford that so I went ahead. 

Funnily enough the date then fell in and that they had another few work dates for the next week- which of course needless to say both cancelled.

I am gutted because now I am struggling financially, I was looking foward to setting myself up and go travelling which obviously will not happen.

I want to make this known to everyone and anyone it is just not worth it.  I have tried to contact them on several occasion but to no avail and would like further support on getting this very much needed cash back.

If people have read this far then please be aware and extra vigilant, it is so easy to get lured in at the prospect of easy money and a better financial future. Trust me, I have been there done that. I now feel like a complete mug really, let down, angry and hurt that people out there can do this.

If I can get this back then at least I can feel happier that these con merchants have'nt won the battle.

THAT WAS 2 MONTHS AGO, AND HAVE STILL HEARD NOTHING.

i applied online to be an escort and delightfulstars rang me back to take details and asked me to email them pictures and a description of what i like to do ect, so i did.  They then rang me back once they recieved them and said that they would try and find me a 'client' and that they would ring me back once they have.  The next day they rang me saying that they have found me a client and for me to think of places to take her in manchester but for me to go forward with this client then i would need to pay for insurance which i paid £265 in cash to there RBS bank account (cannot find details/receipt yet). once the payment cleared i rang them with confermation of the transaction and they told me that the client will ring me on a certain day (details not at hand but do have them) two hours before the 'date' (9.30pm) to confurm and transport will pick me up but nothing happened no phone cal, nothing! So i rang delightfulstars but offices were closed at that time so i rang them the next day and for them to put me through to 'DAISY' (who arranged it all) but she was 'convienantly' not in and since that day i have heard no reaponce to my emails or phone calls!
