I oredered a free trial for acai berry and life cleanse tablets. I was billed on the 4/08/09 for 2 amounts of 88p for shipping. I have noticed today that 2 separate amounts of £73.99 have gone out of my account today. I phoned the bank to querey this and they have said I have subscribed to a company. I need to contact the compnay in question and keep a record of any letters received. My bank will not cancel my card as they say the company will keep taking the amount out unless I cancel.


I am usually very careful when shopping online and cannot belive I fell for a scam like this. After searching my internet hiistory, I managed to locate the website I purchased the pills from and a customer service numbr for trading planet ltd but they are only open monday to friday. I am concerned I am am now over the 14 day trial and will be unable to get my money back. I am hoping to get a refund on the grounds that I am vegetarian and am unable to take the tablets.


UPDATE I have now re-phoned my bank and told them I am the victim of a scam due to the charges listed are not under the trading planet ltd as on my invoice but instead are appering as vitality clean and nature berry.The bank have cancelled my card and have agreed to try to refund the charges. I have to contact the company to ensure no further payments go out of my account.

I fell into the trap of this company.  On 25th June I decided to give their free samples a go and ordered Acai Berry and Life Cleanse.  Nowhere on the web site are terms and conditions clear and there was not box to tick to say I had read them.  But beware:  If you read very carefully it says that after 15 days you will be charged an exorbitant amount for your 'free trial' and they will continue to take this amount from your card/bank account every 30 days until you cancel!  Difficult to cancel as the number given connects you to a very ineffective chap who just says email.  ..... However keep emailing [support@viv3.com] (link: mailto:support@viv3.com) to make sure you do cancel every account no. you have been given (I had two for some reason) and ask for a refund.  Automated emails are the reply, all couched in language to lull you into thinking that you have been in the wrong.  I have kept going, joined up with other people who have been scammed, found another phone number which takes you to a call centre in West Lothian (02031399027).  These people are not working for Viv3, and are just taking calls and they are fed up with the complaints.  Being kind to them, as it is not their fault either, we have had some success, they will give any information that you may be missing, such as your account no or order nos.  Ask them to escalate your request for a refund to viv3, make sure they can see on their screen that your account is cancelled.


I haven't got my refund yet, but am not accepting the 'closed status' that viv3 tell me I am at!  There is a little clause in the terms and conditions 'if not satisfied with product or service they will refund within 30days', so I am quoting that at them, as I was withing that time frame when I cancelled and requested refund.

4 Days ago my debit card was charged twice by these unknown companies for a total amount of $156.66. Unfortunately, no phone or address or any type of contact information was given for this company and I have never heard of it before. I have now cancelled the card and am trying to track down who exactly these people are and what products they have charged me for. I am not sure if they are related to Acaiberry products I had ordered through free trial period offers from the UK (trading Planet LTd & LB Envision Net Worldwide LTd) and the US AcaiSlim Edge product that I can no longer find the website or contact details for to question whether they had overcharged charged me. Both these products took up to a month to deliver (even though they claimed it would only take 3-5 days to deliver to NZ). Then they sent a second shipment even though I had cancelled within the trial period time frame!! I will never use the a credit card or debit card over the internet again!!

On 02/04/2011 I saw an advert on a reputable website for an Acai Berries based weight loss supplement and also a system to cleanse the colon. Both were offered for a month trial with only the postage charge of £2.60 each to pay. I made my order on line and awaited the arrival of the products.
I have not received anything to date, and when looking at my online banking statement today I saw that 2 payments of £126.22 have been made. One to NO PAIN PRO (the Acai berry product) the other to JOINT RELIEF (the colon cleanse product).
I immediately rang my bank and they are pursuing the matter on my behalf through their fraud department.
There are several websites mentioned on my invoices (strangely enough both have the same number!) www.lifestylestop.com, life.flexnjoints.com, fitness.flexnjoints.com, www.ehelpcentral.com,www.tracker.pausepain.com, and guide.pausepain.com.
3 phone numbers are given, the first a US number 866-415-5777, a UK number 08081891269, and finally an Australian number 61-180-073-1540.
I have rung the UK number several times but never got an answer.
I have also emailed them through their contact page on the website without success.
The whole thing is obviously a con and I wait rather despondantly for a refund.
If you see these adverts keep away from them and even better report them to whoever is running the adverts, and/or trading standards.

On 19/07/2009 I ordered a 15 Day Free Trial of the "Most Potent Fat Burning and Anti-Oxidant Combination" Acai Berry and Life Cleanse Combo, it's a "Risk Free" Trial and having tried everything out there to shed some weight due to having a baby 11 months ago I thought this must be worth a go, especially because it's FREE.


The website http://www.acai-cleanse-detox.com/ that I ordered the Trial from has a short application to fill in, you only have to pay for Shipping and Handling £3.95 in total. I was so drawn to all the little adverts on the page of success stories and clinically proven facts that I had filled in my card details and clicked Send My Order Now!, thinking nothing of it because it states everywhere that it's a "Risk Free" Trial.


Recently looking at the website again they have covered themselves pretty well, they do have a Terms and Conditions but it is in tiny print at the end of the page, but when purchasing the Free Trial you tick the box saying you agree and the link isn't clickable so you don't get the information they state most aggresively later on in phone calls and repetitive emails when you try to get your money back.


On the 19/07/2009, the date of my order the 15 Day Free Trial actually begins, meaning that the time it took to post it to me (5 days), were deducted off the 15. NOT A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF TIME TO TELL IF THE PRODUCT WORKS. The information given on the website suggests that they will give you a supply of 30 tablets, taking two a day this would use up that supply until the end of the trial period. However what they don't state clearly is that you will be charged for the products you received after the 15 days, meaning THEY ARE NOT FREE.


When I realized at the beginning of August that I had been charged £146.28 for the two products and £2.00 overseas shipping fees, I immediately called the company's Customer Services on 0808 238 9891 and inquired as to why I had been billed these amounts, after all I had believed it was FREE, no strings attached. They fired back with there extensive Terms and Conditions which even if you read them didn't make a lot of sense, they repeated and contradicted themselves constantly, lulling you into a false sense that what they were saying was concrete and you were wrong.


I felt extremely intimidated by this person on the phone but in the end he said he had cancelled my subscription to this product and I wouldn't be billed any further payments. WRONG. On the 21/08/2009 my debit card was billed £148.56 and another £2.00 S&H so infuriated I phoned the Customer Services number that was on my receipt mailed with the products that had arrived the same day, waiting for me at the Post Office Depot as they were too big for the letterbox! The number was different 0808 238 9830 but I didn't notice this until after I compared the website to the receipts. So I phoned and a woman answered and I explained that I had phoned before and was told my account had been cancelled but I had been billed again, could I get a refund? Apparently they had NO RECORD of my account being cancelled. Well that's a breach of contract right there. I argued and asked to speak to several "managers" as well as the man of Indian ethnicity (unfortunately couldn't remember his name!) according to her they had no-one of that ethnicity working there, they couldn't do anything about a refund as I had already received the product and I hadn't cancelled... YES I DID!


So after having a bit of a breakdown about financial issues (I have a partner on a low wage job, a daughter who is 11 months and our benefits hadn't been processed yet... and I had now used up all of my Overdraft because of these charges. So worrying about having food in the house was an understatement!) and realizing that this "company" weren't going to refund me I called my bank's disputes helpline. UNFORTUNATLY, they couldn't do anything either because of a certain elapsed time frame which I had no clue about stating that the "company" had to have a 15 day cancellation period to allow for said subscription to be terminated and if any payments were billed to my account after that time, THEN I could get some money back. I believed I had properly cancelled my subscription to Viv3 Labs on 11/08/2009 and they had billed me again on 21/08/2009 only 10 days after so the company were still within that cancellation period APPARENTLY. When I cancelled I was told it would have immediate effect, so why was I billed again? And why can't the bank refund me because the company certainly won't?


The woman who I spoke to said she would get in contact with their "Support Department" who several days later emailed me this;


"We would like to inform you that on 2009-07-19 08:23:39 you were charged for the shipping and handling cost for the free trial. The 15 day free trial starts from the day of shipment of the order and implies that you have 15 days to try your order for free.


As stated in the terms and conditions of the purchase, which you accepted during the purchase process, if you do not cancel your account during the 15 days trial period, you will be charged for the product separately and thus the free trial converts into a regular subscription. We confirm that on 2009-08-05 10:35:14 you were charged for the product and have entered a monthly subscription cycle.


Since the account was not cancelled, on 2009-08-20, we sent you another monthly supply of the product, and your credit card was automatically charged for the product.


We would like to confirm to you that your account has been cancelled successfully as of today. This cancellation implies that starting from 2009-08-24 no further charges will be made by our company and no product will be shipped out to you."


BUT I CANCELLED BY PHONE ON THE 11/08/2009!! So I shouldn't have been charged on the 21/08/2009 and I wasn't first charged on 05/08/2009, it was on the 11/08/2009. Where did they get that date from? Almost a full month after I first placed an order for the so called Free Trial.


Also, I have reason to believe that this company has multiple departments across the country (if not the world!) and goes under several different names because I have read articles on the internet about this Acai Berry Detox and Life Cleanse Scam and everyone's saying the same thing. Thus the reason why as of yesterday I have cancelled my debit card and am still enquiring from various places where I can get a refund! Because I cannot afford to have that amount of money going out of my account!


Any advice would be welcomed.

I saw on internet acaibery weight loss program, on their website they have shown free trial in which a customer has to pay £4.99 shipping charges, Which I paid on 31st july. On 19th august they deducted £76 from my account without my permission. Then again 26th of august 2009 they took £ 76 again from my account. I received the second delivery on 1st september, 2009. Their were no terms and conditions listed on the site of the company. The company is now saying that as you dont returned us back the item within 15 days so thats the reason we have deducted £152 from your account. This is defenitely a geniune scam, and i want my atleast last payment of £76 to be refunded.

This Company is a Rip off. First you cant get a hold of them, then when the money has already been taken out, they dont even want to listen to you.!! I called them last night and said i had been calling for the past 2 weeks and i dont want the product i only used one tablet it made me ill and i was happy to return it to them.  Both ladies that i spoke to hung up on me (one of them was named Nancy). When i called to say oh we must have been cut off she said we werent cut off she hung up on me!!, Since when is it ok to hang up on a customer?? i wasnt being rude to her at all no swear words no yelling... I accepted the $1.95 trial offer for the teeth whitening product.  The very small print obligates you to cancel or receive periodic and very expensive products.  My checking account was debited for $59.95 for which I received NOTHING.  When I saw that charge, I realized I had been a victim of their small print scam so I called and cancelled my "subscripton."  Now, my checking account is being hit by something called "Ultimate Fit Partner" with a reference on the withdrawal of elitepack or ezykit.  Through Can You Trust them, I've discovered it's all the same scam.  This is a nightmare.  How can I stop these people from literally stealing my money?  Beware of Dazzle White and their so-called "risk free" trial.

On the 9th November I ordered a product through a US website, which stated FREE sample. As it was from the US I already assumed there would be a postage and packaging fee. I look at my bank statement today and I see that they have now charged me an extra £150.82, and for what? I don’t know! I am really confused and very disappointed with what has happened and would like my money back as I am also going on holiday at the end of the week and that extra money helped.
