False Claims/ Misrepresented Sale »June 201128/06/20120
Quite clearly Nigel Botterill had not done his due diligence prior to marketing this ‘franchise’(that is not actually a franchise)and the marketing of this opportunity was based on wildly exaggerated and untrue statements. There appears to be something of a pattern emerging with Mr. B’s business ventures – fantastic up-front marketing techniques, but lacking in sustainability because the original idea has been insufficiently tested.
I have used my best endeavours to build a successful business in my area because I totally believed in the concept, as sold, of earning an income and raising significant funds for local good causes at the same time. I cannot express strongly enough my dissatisfaction with the changes made by NB through the introduction of the affiliate scheme which reduces the charitable element to a laughable level and has made it impossible for me to continue with the business. Mr. Botterill refuses to accept that this fundamental and unethical change to the model makes it unworkable, on the basis that “it is better for the good causes to receive something than nothing”. Unfortunately the good causes and the businesses who have offered discounts do not agree, but feel that they have been exploited and they no longer wish to be associated with Peel2Save.
The current Peel2Save business model bears no resemblance to the product I bought in to and is in fact in direct contrast to the initial concept. Because the original model was insufficiently tested and found not to work in practice, you have destroyed the fundamental ethos of the initiative. I have been put into an untenable position with the businesses I worked hard to bring on board and my personal credibility and reputation has been fatally undermined.
This, together with your failure to engage with and retain national brands, both businesses and charities, has made the cards worthless.
In addition, and just as importantly, far from being the very, very, very part-time business that you sold, I have wasted many months of my time in trying to establish a business model that, because of your actions, simply does not work – or even exist.
I trust that your conscience and your wish to protect your own reputation will cause you to refund in full the considerable fee paid to you for my area.
I also welcome your proposals to mitigate the significant losses that I have suffered for time wasted and day-to-day expenses incurred in trying to make this flawed and completely discredited business work.

Refund »June 201127/06/20120
Nigel Botterill, who claims to have started 8 'million pound businesses' in as many years, launched and sold territories called Peel2Save, purportedly to provide an income and to raise funds for non-profit organizations around the UK. In launching and selling this so called business model, claims about its success on a trial in the UK were completely unfounded; figures used to support those claims were untrue; the description of the business model was untrue; the model was claimed to be based on the same model used in the US which was untrue; the nature of the business model was changed half-way through its first year undermining the original model of providing 50% of sales monies to charities (taking it down to only 10%); claims about the model being very very part-time are untrue. In fact, all claims made by Nigel Botterill in regard to Peel2Save are absolutely untrue.

False claims/mis-selling »July 201106/07/20120
Nigel Botterill of N5 sold Peel2Save business opportunity on the basis that it was "Very Very Very Part time" and that he had national brands signed up to the scheme when he had not and it was not part time at all. He did not sufficiently test the business before making claims of sales figures which were completely overestimated. He misrepresented the state of the brands on board and the ability to sell the Peel2sAve cards. He induced people to purchase the rights to an area on the basis that they would be easily able to run alongside another job or business when this clearly was not the case. Many people have lost a lot of money when the cards have not sold to the public, the promises of good causes and national brands that were "waiting for our call" was not true. I have lost a lot of money and tarred my reputation in the local community. I want my money and damages
