Frontline Cowboys »13/05/1025/05/20103
Time of tow: 22.46
Date of tow: 13/05/2010
SIA number issuing ticket: 0230012742138752
Vehicle Reg Number: Y114 YBH
Name: Nathan Gray

On 13th May 2010 at approximately 22.42pm I parked on Park Court, Uxbridge. Leaving my car I walked past a car with two guys inside of with their side lights on watching me as I parked. I returned to my car at 12.00am to realise it was gone. After a call to the police assuming it was stolen (with those two dodgy guys in that car on my mind) my car had not been tracked to be dropped off at any local pound. Later in the morning I called the Trace number again to have confirmed that my car was towed. I was given the number of the tow company. I had to make an appointment to meet the tow people to collect my car on 14/05/10 at 3pm at a location which was not a property; it was at a petrol station as this company I think does not have an actual premise. On arriving at the location a man comes out of the same car I saw parked near to where I parked the previous night. I was forced to pay £370 to have my car released. Before paying the sum I was shown the Warning Notice (although on the warning ntoice it states a max of £300 to be charged - I had contacted the company to confirm pick of my car less than 12hours after towing). Time of clamp: 22.46(4min after I parked; is questionable if I was actually clamped, It is highly likely that I was towed straight away). They claimed I had parked on a private road and that it was illegal to park where I had. What I feel is more illegal is them watching me park in a so called 'illegal' spot and clamping and/or towing my car within minutes. Returning to the location there was no visible signage stating it is a private road and the tow notice was in very small print, high on the wall of a building opposite (across the street) to where I had parked. I have the details of the car watching me park and instigating the tow, the SIA number issuing ticket, photos of the parking location and copies of correspondence. I have just finished university and am now out of pocket and my girlfriend with a baby on the way. I need justice against this so called company. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

Penalty/Towing »21/11/201024/11/20102
I parked my car in Park Court, off Park Road, Uxbridge UB8 one night. It was very dark in there and there were a lot of cars parked there, there was only one space left, which was near the entrance. I didn't block the entrance. This was around 11pm. I returned at around 3.30 am, my car was gone. Someone else who also parked there, their car was also gone. We knew we had been towed. We started looking around for signs and found one on the wall adjacent to where I was parked. The sign had very small writing and wasn't clear. My eyes are not that bad yet, but someone with glasses etc, would struggle to see the writing during the day, let alone at night. Anyway this was early hours of Sunday morning and the sign said release times were only between mon-fri during office hours, so I was effectively stranded and had very little money to get home, transport at that time was hard to come by, was 20 miles away from home. So they charge you storage charge no matter what plus you have to take the day off just to go down there, JOKE! Collection of vehicle is by appointment only, so if you're late due to getting lost, you have to rebook, which mean being charged an extra days storage. Furthermore unlike council or police, this firm only accepts cash, will be finding out from HMRC if they're up to date with their taxes as it seems a bit odd. Another point the charge is excessive, its not seen as reasonable, so in-turn its theft as most people won't be able to pay and turn on their cars. I thought Clamping and Tow-ing on private land was being outlawed in England now? Frontline Parking, beware, I haven't even started with you yet. When I'm done your company will be placing security on public TOILETS!

Frontline Parking Clamping/Towing Cowboys »31st July 2011 11:16pm03/08/20111

On Sunday 31st August 2011. I parked my vehicle at 10:55pm in Park Court , Uxbridge UB8. I was only in the Uxbridge area because I was DJing at the club Liquid round the corner. I parked near the entrance of Park Court behind a black people carrier, the last of a row of cars parked in the area. The area was very dark. There were also cars parked to the right and further ahead up the road. Leaving the car two friends and i, did not see any signs or were made away that this was private property. I returned to my car around 12am to find that my car was gone. So I called the police assuming that my car had been stolen. The police rang me back and told me that my car had been towed away by a company called Frontline Parking Ltd and that there was signs on the wall adjacent to me. So me and my friends took a look at the wall and could not see any signs. Until we walked further up the road 20-30 ft, I noticed a small sign high up on a wall. Being 12am, it was very dark. The sign was hard enough to read being right underneath it never mine 20-30ft away from where I was parked and behind the black people carrier where it was out of my view. I then decided to ring the office number on the sign, all I got was a answering machine which stated that the release times were Mon-Fri 9:30am and 5:30pm and Sat 9:30am-4pm. I then rang the mobile unit number on the board. The call rang through twice and someone picked up on the 3rd time. I asked him about my car being towed away. The reply I got was:- sorry you must have the wrong number. This a private number. I told him that this is the number I was given, he just replied with this is a private number im from Berkshire, then hung up. At this point me and my friends had to get a taxi home at a cost of 20 pounds. The next day I rang the office and 9am but did not get any answer, I tried again still no answer, so I waited to 9:30am, finally a woman picked up. I told her that my car had been towed by their company and I wanted to collect my car as soon as possible. She told me that the earliest time I could get it is 11am, so I had to make an appointment for 11am. She said the cost would be £150 because my car would have been clamped, then £150 for it being towed, then £35 for storage for Sunday (which must have been 30 mins left of the Sunday because my car was clamped at 11:16pm) and then a further 35 for the storage after 12am making it Monday morning. This brought the total to £370, she said VAT at 20% would be added to that to give the grand total which was £444. The also only accepted CASH ONLY!  I told I will pay and where should I come to make the payment. She gave me the address as Packet Boat Lane, Middlesex UB8 2JR. (Their address on their website was Frontline Parking Service P.O. Box 966. West Drayton Middlesex UB8 9JP, a post box?? Which made me question what is going on? and the adress on the receipt was Frontline Parking Service LTD. The Workshop, Ford Lane, Iver, Bucks, SL0 9LL - So thats 3 diffrent adresses's) I said ok and headed off by taxi costing me £11. (I also had to take the day off work so I also lost money for that) I got to Packet Boat Lane and all I could see was a pub with the same name as the street and small industrial warehouses. So I called the office back and the woman told me a guy will come and meet me at the back of the pub in the car park. I found this very dodgy. After about 10 mins of waiting a guy pulled up and in a yellow tow truck and asked if I was after a car. I said yes and jumped in. He asked for the payment and I paid and he gave me a handwritten receipt. He then drove me around 5 mins away to this secluded compound and tire garage. He opened up the gate and showed me to my car. When leaving the compound there was two other guys waiting by the gates. I exited with my car and went back to the sight where it was clamped to take photos of the lack of signs, I also took pics from the night before but the quality was not as good. I also made video footage of the area. This vile act of extortion has left me out of pocket of around £500, the money I used to pay was all saved for a holiday that I cannot now go on. I hope this site and people who view this can help me claim justice against this company and stop these rouge companies from making as much money as they can before their criminal ways are banned. Thank you,

Clamped whilst sitting in driving seat »19/12/201120/12/20111

On 19/12/2011 at approx 305pm I was sitting in my car in an access rd to shops next to subway sandwich bar in Uxbridge. It was raining and visibility outside was not too good to notice any restriction. A person knocked on my passenger side window and informed me that this was a no parking area I informed him that I  would move but he then told me I had been clamped. ( whilst this person was talking to me another had placed a wheel clamp on my rear passenger side tyre) to have this removed I was informed the fee was £275.00 I paid this reluctantly to continue on my journey.

The 2 employees where Tim FISHER and Lee BENAIM and appear to have a nice little money making system going where one informs you that it is a no parking area whilst the other places a clamp on your car from behind. I know times are hard but to make easy money in this despicable way just beggars belief.

Are you allowed to clamp a car whilst the driver is sitting in the driver seat , should the clamp not be placed on the drivers side for safety reasons and why the extortionate fee to have the clamp which was just put on removed.

Has any other drivers been the victims of these 2 employees.

Submitted to warn other drivers attending this area.

Is there a solution to help me.

Global Parking  T-01895 446066   Mobile 07955 171191

I contacted Global Parking and was informed that the clamp release fee would be £150.00 and cancellation of tow truck £125.00  total £275.00.

As I was sitting in my car and willing to pay,  a tow truck was not required and could not have been called by these 2 employees as they had just put the clamp on. Where/Who is the extra money going to these employees are fraudulently claiming for.

Re-attended this access road 23/12/11 at 1pm and noticed a large white transit van and a flat back truck parked behind it both unattended at the entrance. I then noticed the Global Parking ford KA parked in its usual place with a lone clamper in it and in clear view of these two trucks.

Can their removal van/clampers not handle the size of these parked up trucks or was it the size of the persons parking them up they were afraid of. The entrance was clearly obstructed.

Is it they can only pick on the young, vurenable, elderly and mothers with children.

IF YOU ARE A CLAMPER  ALL PEOPLE/VEHICLES MUST TREATED EQUALLY.

Vauxhall Astra »27/11/201127/11/20110
on Sunday 27/11/2011 at 13.30pm I parked my car at a parking bar where no sign was visible regarding parking restrictions. The only sign visible was in front of a fitness complex.
When i came back within 4mins, My Car had being clamped and i was threatened to pay by the officer Tifsror with no 0230014247247715.
The officer claimed if i don't pay i my car will be moved and i will pay the double.
I asked the officer to show me any sign where i parked the car and he said there was no place where the sign could be placed where i parked and hence they only placed the signs where it was convenient for the company which was in front of the complex and not anywhere near where i was parked.

I am totally disappointed to hear the officer say they could not put a sign where i was parked because there was no wall or space there for them to erect a sign.

I was forced to pay the 288.75 before my car was released.

Thanks

Moped Clamping »1/04/1008/05/20100

On April 1st 2010, I got a call up to my apartment 14 paramount to tell me that they had clamped my suzuki moped which was parked in the paid private parking space which is part of my apartment. They told me unless i paid £125 in 5 minuites they will towe the bike away. The rules are you must have a permit displayed on the vehicle at all times. Now i see this as impossible on a bike however i always made sure it was stuck firmly down on the seat. I think the clamping agency have something to do with this. I then called the clamping agency and they told me as i am refusing to pay they will call the police and this happend. The police left after strongly advising me to take legal advice on the matter. The gentlemen who works for the company threatend me with eviction of my home which upset me deeply as i dont see how its in there place to say this. I have written to them twice and as you see nearly 1 month after still no reply. After calling them they told me the £45 i eventualy paid counts as a parking ticket. Now i got told that you dont need a parking ticket for mopeds anywhere to park so how can they give me a fine? There just robbing people and are acting seriously unresonable which makes me want to move from my home.

Clamped By Frontline Parking Services Whilst Sitting in the Car!! »23/11/201124/11/20110
My partner and I drove to the Job Centre in Hayes on Wednesday 23rd November. I stopped the car, got out and my partner jumped into the driver seat to drive off. As she was a adjusting the driver seat and mirror she noticed a man crouching beside the passenger side of the car so she jumped out to see what he was doing.

When she ran around the side of the car she saw him quickly stick a small clamp on the wheel. She explained that she was adjusting her seat to drive the car and he said that it doesn’t matter what she was doing as she is in private property. After hearing this she asked how much it would be to remove the clamp and he said £360, and she must look at the sign on the wall. Whilst she was looking at the sign the guy put another clamp (the big triangular chained one) on the driver wheel. She called me out of the job centre and the clamper decided to call the police on the basis that I was being threatening, which was completely untrue, (he just felt intimidated by my size).

When the police came, my partner explained what happened and they tried to get him to remove the clamp as a gesture of goodwill, however he refused and claimed that he had asked her to move the car and she told her categorically that she was not going to, (the police basically told him that his story did not make sense as no-one in the right mind would accept a clamp if they didn’t have to). They then tried to get him to reduce the fee on the basis that she had asked him the cost of the fine £150 + Vat before he had time to call a tow-truck £150 +Vat. He refused this too.

At this point a witness came forward and said she worked in the job centre and had seen him do this on a regular basis. He generally sits in the car park and watches people leave their car then clamps it. Mine was slightly worse as my partner was sitting in the car adjusting her seat to drive off.

The whole incident lasted from 13:30 till 15:00 and no tow truck came even though we were told it would be with us in 20mins. How can I even be sure that one was called? I tried calling the office number and it has been disconnected, I had to call a mobile number in order to speak to someone. How do I even know I dealt with a reputable company?

I now want to claim my money back but am unsure of what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My car was left for 5 minutes with someone in the passenger seat and someone in the drivers seat. When a van appeared with clamping signs on the side, the driver started the car and was adjusting the seat, as she was about th drive away, one man knocked on the window and started talking to her while another mon went to the back of the car and put a clamp on it.

The car had the engine running and they purposely distracted her as they put the clamp on.

The passenger was a 71 year old lady with stress related parkinsons and asthma.

They were agressive and shouting at the driver and the 71 one year old as they argued that they had been duped with the distraction.

My Wife was parked on a patch of waste ground, close to Uxbridge High St. She parked there to post a CV into Reed Enployment agency. She was no longer than 2 minutes. As she returned to the car, a man Approached her an asked her if the car was hers, she replied yes. He then proceeded to tell her that her car was clamped. He also told her the tow truck was on its way. He then told her it will cost her £280.00 to get the clamp removed. My wife had no money on her and she was told to go to the cash point to get the money. My wife refused to leave the car, so he said" there will be a 5% surcharge for credit cards". My wife had to pay this. Total fee £288.75.
Whilst paying this fee, my wife looked round to see if there was any signs, she could not see any. She also asked the attendant, he said there was signs, but couldn't show her where they were.

I Believe that this fee is unlawful, I also believe that the attendants actions were unlawful too. My wife was also verbally given appeal advice, but not in writing, which i believe is also unlawful. I will be seeking legal advice on this.

Myself and a colleague/friend parked next to subway in Uxbridge, on an access road to a gym (Flex fitness) and the flats above the shops, Within the space of ordering a sandwich and walking back out (no queue) a guy had fitted 2 clamps to our vehicle, from Global parking Ltd, Then told me id have to pay a fine to remove the clamp and a fine for a tow truck he supposedly ordered, despite not having identification or being able to tell me the details of the towing company, I reluctantly paid on card in his chip and pin machine, which is registered, basically ive been poached out of damn near £300 and I want it back, my clamp receipt was marked paid at 10:34 and my subway receipt was time stamped at 10:43, 9 minutes difference, which is Cr*p! he blatantly sat and watched us unknowingly park up and go into subway before he pounced with 2 clamps, there are tiny signs but you would have to see the pictures, If I'd parked in a bay in the gym car park id understand, but thats harsh! upon reading on the net, this company is and absolute farse and something needs to be done, bunch of idiots basically forcing money out of people, I caused no obstruction and un-knowing parked on there property which has no boundary, I dont know what to do but i have plenty of pictures and all the receipts.

Today I drove into a parking lot to go into a shop. i left the keys in the ignition with the engine still running. My wife and baby was still in the car. My wife was just giving the baby his dummy in the back seat soo he could stop crying and that she could then climb out of the car and get into the driving seat to drive the car out. We did not see the sign that was acrooss the road but thta is not a problem.I would have gladly paid a fine if I left my car parked in a no parking zone. i was out of the car for less then 2-3 minutes and this man quietly came up behind the car and clamped the wheel while my wife was tending to our baby in the back seat with the egine still running. It clearly states the following in the Wheel clamping code of practice:
The Authorised User shall not clamp any vehicle whilst its engine is running or has persons still in the vehicle.
the man who clamped the wheel also did not wear a uniform with his companies logo on it ,neither was the vehicle marked with the companies logo. I hope this matter will be resolved asap.

I WENT TO UXBRIDGE TO PICK MY TEACHER AND AS I WAS LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO PARK, I PULLED OVER AND QUICKLY WENT TO COLECT MY TEACHER. I DID NOT SPENT UP TO 5 MINUTES BEFORE I CAME BACK MY CAR WAS CLAMPED AND THE GUY TOLD ME TO PAY £275.00 PLUS 5% IF I USED CREDIT CARD. THE PARK ATTENDANT TOLD ME IF I AM READY TO PAY THAT HE WILL CANCEL THE TOWING VEHICLE FROM COMING. I DID NOT BELIEVE THAT HE CANCEL ANY TOWING VEHICLE AND HE STILL CHARGED ME FOR CANCELLATION THE TOWING VEHICLE THAT IS A RIP OFF, I DONT SEE HIM MAKING ANY PHONE CALL. I WOULD NOT COMPLAIN IF I WAS CHARGED £60 BUT £288 IS TOO MUCH. CLAMPING IS ILLEGAL IN SCOTLAND , I THINK WE MAY HAVE TO DO THE SAME HERE IT IT CAN BE DONE IN SCOTLAND I AM SURE IT CAN BE DONE HERE AS WELL.I BELIEVE THE FEE IS UNLAWFUL AND I ALSO BELIEVE THAT THE ATTENDANTS ACTIONS WERE UNLAWFUL TOO. I WILL BE SEEKING LEGAL ADVICE ON THIS AND I WILL NOT GIVE UP UNTIL WHEN JUSTICE IS DONE.
