Broken contract, failure to provide goods »24 October 200815/10/20092

On 24 Oct 2008 I paid "Who Does Mobility a deposit of £2150 for a new disabled bathroom for my ailing  wife . The contract Number is 1358They were then based at St Albans as shown but have since vanished. I tried, many times by telphone and e-mail to get the job started but was put off with a number of excuses. Eventually I was unable to contact them at all. My Solicitor wrote to, them but no reply was forthcoming. Not only have these people stolen my money but when they were here they met my wife and knew of her desperate need for the goods they had promised. She died on 18th March not having had the comfort so promised and advertised by these heartless swine

Unreliable and untrustworthy. Avoid this bankrupted tradesman at all costs. see http://www.blagger.com/db4/company-id/10722/companyname/Campbell-Joiner-Services.html http://www.edinburgh-gazette.co.uk/issues/26663/pages/3647/page.pdf   Campbell is now working for Highland Bathroom installations.

1) We booked Campbell to refit our bathroom on 5/5/09. What was promised to be a five day job took seven weeks. Four weeks with no bath and six with no shower.

2)On "completion" 22/6/09 we told him our underfloor heating was not functioning. He took our payment and lied to us saying he would repair it.

3) He has continually lied to us since and tried to blame the supplier of the underfloor heating, the company "Warm Up"

4) After many personal calls to Warm Up we found he has never once contacted them and he was supposed to supply us with, A BS7671 NEICAC Certificate for electrical work carried out on our fuse box and shower. A warranty and certificate for the warm up underfloor heating to prove it was tested before the tiles were laid.

5) Trading Standards Authority are aware of his poor workmanship as are consumer direct.

Buyer Beware !

I was employed by this company to work in garden centers to demonstrate their products and to get names and addresses.

At first it seemed okay, a good product, then they started getting my wages wrong and missing payments owed to me.

Customers complained to me on the stand that their deposit was taken and they had heard nothing. The 6 week wait for the bath/ showers were turning to months and people were getting upset.

They moved offices suddenly (owing rent) and now reside at unit 81 shelton enterprise center in stoke on trent. 01782 214776. They were trading from Dobbies at gailey nr wolverhampton but left suddenly. now renting space at garners in newcastle and High leigh (off junc 19 M6.)

They still owe me money although I staged a sit in in their office to get it. While I was there I managed to answer the phone (which was another complaint).

Do not hand over money to them ! Or at least pay on a credit card so you are covered if things go wrong.

Failure to provide goods »15/10/0926/02/20101
This company is preying on the old and vulnerable. My parents are both 85. They were conned out of £800 which was a deposit for an easy access mobility shower which was never delivered. They are no longer at Shelton Enterprise park as of Oct 09 and I don't know where they are based now. The director is Anthony King (see comments for his phone details and address). I have obtained a judgement against them in the small-claims court but without an address a warrant cannot be served. Does anyone know where these scum bags are now?

Inferior goods »200827/01/20090

My husband and I purchased a new bathroom suite from this merchant who delivered inferior goods. The goods were fitted by my builders, we were not living in the house,  as soon as I saw themI notified the owner Janet who visited the house and agreed they were wrong. She said she would replace within a week. Over the next year I was given excuse after excuse including breast cancer and mother dying, which unfortunately kept me, at bay as I felt sorry for her!!!

Finally in October 2007 she agreed to refund and faxed me a refund slip for £1200 to be paid onto my mastercard. It never went into my account. Mastercard are trying to get some money back but not all of it. People need to be warned.

Damaged goods supplied »11 January 201427/01/20140
I placed an order with Better Bathrooms for goods totalling over £1000 on December 17th 2013. With the exception of 1item the goods arrived on Friday 20th December. They turned up at 6.30pm. It was pitch black and all the goods were packed on a pallet and wrapped up in commercial cling film so although I was told I had 20 minutes to inspect the goods there was no way that was sufficient time to get everything off the pallet and unpacked and checked. On top of which I had been in hospital on 3rd December for a Hernia repair operation and had been told by the surgeon not to lift any heavy objects. When the delivery driver handed me the paperwork for the delivery of the goods I wrote that I was accepting delivery of the goods as Unchecked.
The pallet stayed in my garage where the driver had deposited it on the 20th until December 28th when I decided to remove the cling film and inspect the smaller lighter goods for any damage. The heavier items I inspected with the assistance of my wife. The items we inspected we found to be acceptable.
As the plumber who was to install the new equipment was not booked to come and commence work until 9th January I decided to leave the bath on the pallet as it was delivered. He duly arrived on the 9th and took the bath off the pallet and into the bathroom. The bath is an L shaped shower bath manufactured from fibreglass. We agreed where the filler tap was to be situated then he proceeded by removing the packaging from the long side of the bath attaching the brackets provided and drilling the holes for the bath filler. After offering the bath up to the wall and adjusting it and screwing the brackets to the wall he removed the packaging from the short edges of the bath only to discover that the bath was damaged under the cardboard. The damage consisted of a crack in the top coat of the bath. He immediately stopped work and informed my wife what he had found as I had popped out. My wife immediately contacted Better Bathrooms and they spoke to the plumber and said that they required photos of the damage. By now I was back home and so both the plumber and I took photos of the damage and sent them over to the email address we were given. Their reply was that their Technical Team would look at the photos and would make a decision. They came back saying that it was a scratch and that it was not a manufacturing fault and they were therefore not prepared to replace the goods. When I read this I rang the company and stated that it was NOT a scratch but a crack so the Technical Team were asked to look at the photos again. Their next reply was ''as the bath had been installed they were not prepared to replace the bath free of charge as all the packaging should have been removed before installation takes place''
This left me with no alternative but to purchase another bath from them as a bath had to be in place before the tiler came to tile out the room starting on 14th Jan. This was done and I went for advice from my local CAB and have written a letter to Better Bathrooms to say that I feel they have supplied me with goods that are ''not fit for purpose'' and asked for a refund of the purchase price of the second bath. Their reply is that under their T&C the bath should have been fully inspected before installation started.
I believe that I and the plumber have done everything reasonable to protect the goods and that under the "sale of goods act'' I am entitled to reimbursement for the faulty goods and that they should not and cannot hide behind their T&C as they encroach on my rights under the sale of goods act.

Dolphin Bathrooms DO NOT USE BE WARNED !!!!!! »Jan 2011 / March 201111/03/20110
WITH ALL COST DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!

Were do I start without getting a nose bleed & relapse.

Back in January 2011 we decided to get Dolphin Bathrooms to measure up a new shower room suite.
The sales rep turned up one evening and designed the bathroom to the standard that we liked. The rep was a nice guy and about the only normal person we had dealt with throughout the process.
Liking the design and cost at staggering £8500 including discount vouchers we decided to go with this and was sold the Dolphin Dream that would soon turn into a nightmare.
We paid on the night around £2090 deposit to secure the bathroom.
The next stage the dolphin project manager would come round and check all the measurements before worked commenced.
Again he was a nice guy who promised he would oversee the project and check quality of the work.
Like the Scarlet Pimpernel we never herd from this man again?
We paid another £2270 off the total as required by Dolphin.

We then went on holiday

On the first day returning from holiday first week February we were bombarded with voicemails from Dolphins collections demanding the rest of the money or they would not deliver the equipment.
We reminded them we had paid £4360 and not seen anything from Dolphin.
The customer services agent accused us of not being able to pay and said we were a problem.
This was handed over to a Supervisor who tried to calm the situation down and we made a complaint
On the same day we paid the full balance and the stock was delivered ready for fitting for February 8th

To cut a long story short the instillation date was changed 5 times each time we complained to Dolphin and arranged work time off around this.
On the forth time of cancellation we warned Dolphin that we would cancel the project if there was any further hold ups as they are in breach of contract.
After you mention cancel you are treated like somebody from a third world country.
We then found out they use sub contractors fitters and reading the internet reviews we were shocked.

From February until March I had major issues of cancelling the project and passed from pillar to post by the Manchester customer services.
Throughout this period I dealt with some of the rudest and unprofessional customer service I have ever known.
They would continually try to keep talking you around would not offer a refund would not return calls and keep you on hold for over an hour.
Every time you would phone they world say they were in a meeting and they would get back.

I had the equipment sitting in my house for over 2 months after paying the full balance.
The best thing that I did was to cancel the instillation by refusing to let them in.
As I then had something to fight with as they would have got away with this after the instillation was fitted.

It got to a point they would not make contact and still had my £8500.
I wrote to the furniture ombudsmen but they were useless and waste of time
We wrote them a letter advised by trading standards giving them 14 days to reply or we would escalate to our solicitor again this did not phase them.

Last resort I had the original sales rep number I phoned and explained all the troubles I was having.
He said that he would pass this up to Senior Director he did a man named Jeff Wells phoned we explained the situation and promised a full refund and items to be collected.
By only continually phoning and harassing the Director did we get a full refund.
Customer services were unhappy we had been going through him but tough they could not organize a picnic.

With the plans and curiosity we went to are local Sharps & Fisher and they priced the items on the delivery note like for like no substitutes for £1100.
Donâ??t be fooled by Dolphin saying that they can only get these products because you can get them anywhere when you look.
So £8500 for the bathroom quoted by Dolphin that was originally £10000 without vouchers discount, we can do exactly the same for £2200 including fitting.
I find what Dolphin prices legal theft

Just glad itâ??s all over

PS
â?¢ Donâ??t trust the price
â?¢ Get 4/5 different quotes from other companyâ??s
â?¢ If you complain keep a time line of all contacts & names you speak to.
â?¢ Keep harassing them donâ??t back off

incredibly poor service »21/07/0904/02/20100

I ordered and paid for a wc and bidet in july 2009.It was part of the Linda Barker collection. They kept promising delivery but they never arrived citing excuse after excuse. After numerous telephone calls all made by me they eventually conceded they could not supply it in February 2010. What a complete shower. No apology only a basic refund.I would suggest any potential client uses another supplier.

not making a claim »January 200926/07/20100

I have not made a claim, but want to name and shame this company. They fitted a new bathroom for me, which seemed fine at the time, apart from a blocked sink, which they kept promising to come and fix, but kept putting me off because of pressure of work.(August 2009) However in January 2010, my sewage drains overflowed into my back garden, with sewage everywhere. It turned out they had not disconnected the now redundant waste pipes from my old shower and bath, and all my cavity wall insulation leaked into the pipes and into my sewage system. After numerous phone calls to them, and 3 visits by them, they then claimed it was not their fault, which it was!!! and stopped returning my phone calls. In the end, a friend came and rodded my drains, and disconnected my sink, and unblocked it. The sink drain was full of grout and plaster from the work they had done. This company should be named and shamed.

Item paid for and not shipped »01/09/201206/09/20120
I bought a shower room from this company a while back, I live in Malta and the item was coming from China so I got my shipping company to bring it over for me. I discussed with the seller how the glass should be packed with bubble wrap and not what, But when the glass arrived they where totally shattered only one piece stayed intact. They where thrown in a carton box with no bubble wrap or jublo just some sort of wrap that could not sheild the glass from harm neither did they put any indication on the box that is had glass contents. The company would not hold responsability and again I had to reorder the glass from the same company as they where round I there is no one that does them locally. When I ordered the whole shower room it cost 470 dollars for the whole thing with the bath base and jets and all. Now for 3 pieces of glass they wanted me to pay 200 dollars which I thought a bit steep. We agreed on all 3 and I even kept all e.mails sent between me and who ever sold me the glass whose name is Fiona Lau. This time the glass the bank fees shipping and local taxes cost me 400 euros for the 3 pieces of glass. When my parcel arrived the glass thank god did not break as I ordered my shipping agent not to put any boxes on top which cost me more money then usual fee. The company only sent me 2 pieces when I contacted her she told me yes sorry I made a mistake but they will not pay to send it over to me they want me to pay for it and she also told me we are not responsable and that at least they where not going to charge me for the glass also. So this is my story with this company so anyone who in the future would want to do business with them pls be aware and first off contact me and I will be happy to send you all the info and records of what I paid and e.mails sent because they are a rip off to make you pay more money and don't take responsability for there actions and also they do not tell me who the owner is so i can talk to them neither will any of the other staff help in the matter they want me only to talk to FIONA LAU.

Repairs under guarantee »3 May 201402/07/20140
In February 2013 we had our bath re-enamelled by Diamond Gleam. They were difficult to arrange for this work to be undertaken but eventually, it was carried out. Unfortunately, in May 2014 the enamel began to chip away around the plug hole, looking unsightly.

I duly contacted the company on 3 May via email requesting repairs to be undertaken in accordance with their 5 year warranty and sent a photo of the fault.

Many emails, phone calls and texts to date we are still awaiting for these repairs to be carried out . Dorothy Milton, co owner of the company continually fobs us off with promises to organise this work to be done "in a couple of weeks" but never calls us back and trying to ring them is virtually impossible.

DO NOT CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY!

You will NEVER receive a call back to either emails, texts or phone calls. They are DREADFUL.
