Ordered goods and paid for them, didnt arrive, phoned them, told they would check and phone back, never phoned back, phoned them again said they were sending and i would get the stuff in a day or two. Never arrived. Phoned again,they said hold a moment and hung up on me. Emailed and phoned again, no response, 4 months later got nothing from them. Looking at further action and compensation. Never been treated like this in any transaction in my life, they are a complete nightmare and, as far as i can see, thieves.

We expected a delay over Christmas period, but as we had not received the goods by the end of January, we telephoned the company.  After several conversations (it seemed to be on a mobile no) we still have not received the goods,  We have now cancelled the order but have not received a refund.  The email address is not valid and the fax no does not receive faxes.  Not very happy with this company and the customer services standards are diabolical.

Jewsons ripped me off


n 1987 we purchased land in Carmarthen with planning permission, and at the time JEWSON was on TV singing we've got the JEWSON lot; we decided to buy all our building materials off them little did we know what we where letting ourselves in for. In 1987 we bought the slates for the roof with a thirty-year guarantee and sold as permanently black. In 1994 after spending over £26000 with Jewson's, the slates on the roof started going in holes and the colour was coming off, when we reported it to Jewson's they said and I quote, "ONCE WE'VE GOT YOUR MONEY WE DON'T GIVE A F**K". So we put the case in the hands of a solicitor Hew Owen of ungoed Thomas& King who took the case up. In 1999 we phoned Mr D W Thomas operations director for JEWSON'S, who said (I QUOTE "AS LONG AS YOU DON'T FIND OUT WHY WE CHANGED OTHER ROOFS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT AND YOU TELL THE TRUTH WE DON'T CARE".) Jewson's solicitor a Mr Barr Cleary phoned to say that if I pursued with this case he would sue myself for all the time he has spent on this case. At this point we put notices in our car windows and on our garage doors to tell others the way JEWSON'S where treating us it says STOP LOOK BEFORE YOU BUY ANY BUILDING MATERIALS OFF JEWSON'S COME AND SEE THE RUBBISH THEY SOLD ME I'VE GOT THE JEWSON CRAP with a photo of my roof. When the Jewson manager Mr Robert Cockburn Carmarthen Branch saw the signs on my car he asked us to take them down and he would sort out our roof before he went on holiday on the following Monday and made a list of what materials we needed to change our roof as they where already changing other roofs with the same complaint, that was July 1999(HE LIED). But he did write to us to say that they would PAINT our roof for us (We refused) Then Jewson's offered us £1000 if we dropped the case and take the signs down (That's now been reduced to £500). We wrote to Mr Peter Hindel Jewson managing director in Jan 2000 to tell him about the way we've been treated, and he said (I will arrange to have the matter investigated without delay and be in touch shortly), and that's the last we've heard off him. Our solicitor said if you drop the complaint against Jewson's and accept their offer I will ask Allen Harris (the supplier of slates to Jewsons) to give you some money as well, as he's a friend of mine!!! We reported OUR solicitor to the supervision of solicitors in May 2000 who said that they would fully investigate the case. In Oct our case was looked at (I won't use the word investigated as they only took 4 hrs to read and find no fault with OUR solicitor, dictate a letter to us, and have his lunch, and phone us). We reported the supervision of solicitors to the ombudsman who said that they had done nothing wrong; they suggested that they should look at the case again. The Supervision of Solicitors refused. I still have the signs on my car and on my garage doors.

have purchased granite worth £1600 from this company, within 2 weeks stains were every where on the counter top, having contacted them on a number of occasions leaving messages with the secretary they have still not yet come round to view these tops, and yet when my partner contacted them believing they might have a job they couldn't get on the phone quick enough, the after care service is appaling for this type of money spent with them. would be ever so grateful if you could help

Placed order online valued at £475.00 within 5 minutes of order realised I had ordered wrong item. Immediately emailed, and also left ansaphone message apologising for wrong order can they refund amount for item. I rang following day to confirm, spoke to manager who said he would cancel item and arrange refund. Not a word since, have emailed, rung, faxed on countless occasions. no one rings back when you leave message. Can no longer access my account via email, they have blocked it, no one ever answers the phone. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE FRAUDSTERS!!! Ordered items and paid immediately in good faith and they have still got my money!

Dispicable service!  Ordered boots in January, was not advised they were not instock!  Still not recieved 18.02, I've emailed countless times and only managed to get one reply which said my goods had been dispatched - they hadn't.  I've rung and rung, and left messages which they never reply to.  I managed to get through yesterday - and was told they'd acll me back - they didn't.  I rang 15 times this morning and finally got through, to an Andrew - he was very rude, would not offer a refund, could not tell me when the boots were likely to be in stock.  I said as it was a month, I would just have a refund - he refused.  Said he'd call back with a delivery date - but hasn't.  I think this company are terrible - I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, am getting my money back through the credit card company!

Two weeks later I called them several times but nobody answered, just a machine, I left messages, but no one called back. I tried to contact them by email, again several times, and again without any results. Then I realized that I will never receive my order.

I ordered a pair of Cofra Executive Safety Shoes, the order was made on 02nd July 2009 to the value of £51.95.  I sent three emails regarding this order and to date received no reply. I made five telephone calls, the last of which was Monday 20th July 2009 at 13:25.  I was repeatedly informed the order was on route to me, however it has still not arrived.  I was informed last week that if I did not receive the order by Friday 17th July 2009, I would receive a full refund.  With regard to our conversation over the phone on Monday, I was not impressed with the rude manner and hostile tone.  I received an invitation to attend their office to sort out the claim and was informed violence could be used to resolve the matter, if I dared attend, extremely unprofessional.  Not the sort of behaviour I would expect of someone trying to run a business, dependant on the likes of myself to earn a living.  I have never been subjected to such a hysterical outburst over the telephone in my life and found the experience rather harassing, alarming and very distressful.  I'm still awaiting a refund.

Due to legal advice I am having to edit my statement, however it still stands that Mr Ian Anceint and Mrs Kathleen Anceint owes outstanding wages to the sum of £3815 and I still would not recomend them. Anyone with issues concerning Mr Ancient my advice would be to look on companies house to see who owns the business before you do anything else the information could prove useful. If anyone wishes to discuss anything further please feel free to contact me.
