I located Keepsake Rosary company on the internet. They make rosaries out of flower petals from the funeral home of deceased person. I printed out the order form, sent $75.00 fee plus $5.00 shipping fee as directed and expected to get product in 3-4wks. My order was made/mailed 6/17/09 and check was cashed 6/19/09. Internet site still up but e-mail address no longer operational. Called to directory assistance in New York and was given phone nbr of 845 429-4006, a man named "steve" answered and claimed to be owner/operator of this business but was very vague. He told me it would "take months" to get the product and that I "shouldn't call to inquire because the more people call the slower business will go."  I feel like I have been ripped off and am not sure if I can/will ever get reimbursed or get what I paid for.  I see that the internet site now has a disclaimer/listing in place that says something like "beware of other compainies operating under our name but who aren't affiliated with us" --yet the address and order form are the same as the authentic company proclaims to have and operate out of

Do not use this company, I placed an order for seeds for my garden to the value of £41.66 on the 12th Jan 09 which is yet to be received !! after emailing, phoning & leaving messages several times, I only managed to speak to someone once who promised to chase up my order I still haven't heard anything, I have since checked them out through the internet and found that I am not alone and this company regularly dont deliver , have no customer contact and from what I have experienced no intention of refunding my money.


These items were bought in good faith and they advertise as the number 1 company for seeds etc.


I hope anyone planning to buy from them reads this before they part with their money only to get ripped off as I did.

I'm doing this on behalf of my mother who lives alone.This company was advertised in the Kessingland times,claiming professional gardening services.The young gentlman that came round said he was dyslexic and his sister had a brain tumour,my mother felt sorry for him and got him to cut her connifers,and lay some gravel and re stable and fence.


The connifers weren't cut level,a big hole was left in the middle of the trees,one tree was hacked off it looks a total mess and the fence wasnt stable is would have blown down in the wind!My mum had to get someone to repair it,who is a witness to all of this.She has spent her saving now of £450 and the job wasn't even worth £100! and is devastated.We need to stop this company and claim my mums money back.

My girlfriend and I started a garden in the front of my house and along the side.  There are a lot of rocks and weeds to clear out of each area so I decided to try and get a gadget to make the work a little easier.  I remembered seeing a commercial on TV for the Awesome Auger, and while I never buy anything from those Billy Mays spots, I decided I would give the Awesome Auger a try.  I went to their website and began the ordering process.  I added in a couple extra items just to see how much the total would be, and instead of being brought to a confirmation page of some sort to make sure all my selections were correct, I end up at a page telling me thank you for my purchase of three of these augers, three extra power drills, and expedited shipping service, and oh by the way there is a 49.95 shipping charge for each of the drills that we didn't mention anywhere on the previous pages.  The total came to $225.35!!!  This for items that were advertised at 14.95 each.  There is no way I would purchase any of this nonsense had I been made aware of the shipping charges, or had I been allowed to correct the number of items I wanted after seeing how much the total charge would have been.


I call the company to explain that I didn't want everything that I was charged and they told me that I could not initiate a return or credit until my order was in the system.  I was asked to call back later in the day which I did and at that time was asked to call the next day which I did.  Now at 1130am on that morning my order was not in their system, yet when I called back around 3pm later that day it was already processed and shipped out.  I find that extremely hard to believe.  Now they tell me that once my order is shipped there is no way to cancel it and I will not be reimbursed for my shipping charges, which came to roughly $170.  I call my credit card company to dispute the charge.  They tell me to ship the item back and they will be able to get my money back for me.  I go to the UPS store to ship the items back, guess how much it cost to ship?  $22!!!!!!!!!!!


Now it is showing that I am only being given $49.95 back from the company after they have received the items that i returned and I'm out $176.00.  The company has the package back unopened, items brand new that they can ship out to rip someone else off with.  I am awaiting an explanation as to why I was not able to recover the full amount when all I wanted in the first place was an idea of how much I would be spending.

I purchased two Whole House Rat and Mice Repellers in June 2009 from Primrose London


 


They were installed in the loft following a deep clean and reinsulation in July 2009.  We had no problem with mice in the summer months but in September 2009 we heard some scratching.  We duly left the repeller in the loft and waited the month for it to work which is required.  It has now been nearly 2 months and it clearly doesn't work.  We have had to trap and have caught numerous mice two of which were preganant so nests have been built in the loft.   


 


I contacted Primrose to say that the repeller didn't work.  I had several inane emails back stating I must have containers of open food in the loft and that the repeller was working if it lit up (It does).  My loft is totally empty to which I was told by trapping I am attracting the mice.  I tried to say I have had to trap but they wouldn't listen. 


Primrose were informed that the repeller is not fit for purpose and that as they guarantee the product to work they should replace or refund.  They declined stating they have good relations with their local trading standards office. They also stated that they have 99% satisfaction.  Yes the testimonials added by them to their website indicate this but independent reviews do not.  I asked if I could put a testimonial on their website and was declined.


 


In short I have been sold items that are not fit for purpose.  Primrose do not uphold their 100% guarantee that they will work claiming that a refund is only possible within 60 days.  If you don't have mice within 60 days what are you supposed to do?  Their advertising is clearly dishonest and not upheld so must breach advertsising standards?  Also their testimonials more than dubious. 


 


Their final email to me was rude and pointless especially as I have tried to speak to their customer service department unsuccessfully on several occasions.

My partner spoke to them and was promised the manager would call back they never did.  I tried to but was told Christine was in the toilet - I waited on hold.  Then she was in the warehouse, then she had left site. DO NOT BUY FROM PRIMROSE LONDON. MORE IMPORTANTLY DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR TESTIMONIALS THEY WILL NOT ASSIST IF THERE IS A PROBLEM.


 


Primrose would not settle until they realised they had been detailed on this site.  I did eventually get a refund minus the postage cost (months later).  Primrose were quite agressive stating that they would only refund me if I removed the claim from this site.  Clearly they still did not know the meaning of customer service; sadly if they had appologised and been polite I would have taken the complaint down but their continued rudeness was uneccessary and there never was an appology.

Hi,  I bought some Scottish Pebbles from this company (£163 worth).  We had used this company before and were happy.  However, they are very quick to take your money but not to REFUND when things don't go to plan.  The pebbles were more like massive rocks and also lots of them were broken. We were not happy to buy a bag of dust!  Even the delivery driver saw what we wanted them for and said "you need Scottish Pebbles" which is supposedly what we had ordered.  My husband sent them back.  On the monday morning I called the company and asked for my refund.  They told me that it would happen soon.  I must have called every week for 7 weeks and was told each time that they would process it but it was pending!  In the end my hubby got irrate on the phone and they even hung up.  At last we received a refund - BUT, ONLY A PARTIAL REFUND.  They keep telling us that "we had changed our mind".  I presume I am paying an admin fee.  I only got back £128.  Why should I pay for their admin when the goods were not fit for purpose.  I am going to fight this all the way.  It has completely put me off using online companies.  I should be entitled to a full refund because I had not changed my mind.

In March 2009, I returned home from work only to discover that my front Lawn was mowed. I know I had cancelled servcies with my last Landscaper " THE LAWN MEN" so i was at a lost. I looked into my mailbox to see if any notes, cards were left there describing what i neede to do with the lawns( my last lanscaper left me cards) , however, ther were no cards no bills. Approximately two weeks later I returned home agin and my lawn was mowed, with no cards or bill left in the mailbox. 


I decided to call my old landscaper , I left a message advising that I had cancelled my services form this new year. I also advised that if they were coming to my premesis I was following up with this phone call to remind and reiterate that I no longer needed ther servcies, I left my name and telephien number for a retrun call if there were any questions or clarifications needed. I did not get a call but I got a bill from " LAWN MAIN LANDSCAPING" no telephone number was enclosed on that bill, but what i noted was the address was the same for my old landscaper. So I called using an old bill and left a mesage foe the owner Pedro A.Pena advisng that I canceleld servcies with them sicne the beginning fo the year when I   sent my last check and I advsied that i did call in March informing that I had cancelled my servcies and I have not nor am I requesting a return to servcie, I also stated that if they were the new company who came on my premesis . I would report them to the Authority for trespassing, since I NEVER CONTRACTED THEM FOR SERVICES. I left my name and phone numebr for a call back if they were unclear about my message.


April 20th via April 24th 2009, I was away on vacation upon my return I noted my Lawn was mowed again, and a card was left in my mail box. I called Pedro A. Pena and left another message advising that they were trespassing on my premesis and I would be reporitng them to the authoritirs, and I informed them that I would not be paying for servcies that i did not request/contract or consent for.


Please, inform on my best course of action against thse unscrupolus businesses.

A warning to people living in the Middlesex area. This company, A-2-Z Tree & Garden Services Ltd, were leaflet dropping in my area on Saturday.  Since I had some trees to trim back, I managed to catch them while they were still in the street with a view to get a quote.  The final quote they gave me was very good, compared to previous quotes I had already had, and they offered to do it for me for cash for an even better discount. They also offered to do it straight away so I agreed.  The job they did was actually very good, and I was really pleased with the final result. I was a little surprised that they left in a real hurry as soon as they were paid, and I didn't even get a chance to thank them properly.  Now I realise why....


They had sliced through my phone line which comes into the house through the trees from a post outside in the street. Apparently my neighbour saw them do it, and he spoke to them about it and told them to tell me what they had done. They told him they had already told me, but actually they mentioned nothing about it. They removed all the cables so that I wouldn't know. No wonder they had left in such a hurry.


I tried calling them back, to their credit they did pick up the phone, at first denying cutting the phone line, but then when I told them my neighbour had witnessed it first hand they acknowledged it.  They then tried to dismiss it by saying that BT would fix it for free, which I pointed out was unlikely.  They then offered to re-imburse me any costs that BT charge me for reconnecting the line. 


Well BT tell me it will cost a minimum of £125 + VAT installation charge, but it could be more if the engineer has to climb up the pole to reconnect me...plus I have to wait 2 weeks before they can come out. How incredibly inconvenient.


I also don't stand much hope of getting them to pay me back because I paid in cash in order to save money, and they left in such a hurry they didn't give me a receipt.  I feel like such a mug now.  With the extra I will be out of pocket, I could have gone with one of the earlier, more reputable firms that I had already had a quote from, so what seemed like a good deal has turned into a very expensive one for me.


It's such  shame because otherwise they did a great job.  I understand that accidents can happen, and if they had owned up to me when it happened it would have indicated an honest and reliable firm that I would have had no hesitation in calling again to do more work for me.  I had already indicated that to them as I have much more garden work that needs doing.  It's a real shame when quality work can be clouded by dishonesty and unprofessionalism.

Hi, in march l put my echo petrol drill EDR2400 in for a repair and service before that it was working fine l had broken the start pull cord ,l thought when l seid please repair the pull cord and give it a service ment repair the cord change the filter,spark plug,. and return.
well nearly 2 months later l phoned up only to be told l needed a new piston and it would cost over £240 l seid could l have it back( because l would try to get it repaired some were else) it was return to me in bits l was charged £11 for then to look at it and l have been told that thay broke the piston rings,..
Lwas warned about using Devon Garden Machinary do not use for your repairs!!!!

On 14 Dec 2011, I placed an order (Number DIY-1047) with this company One Stop DIY and also paid for the order.

After that, there was no communication from them on the status of my order. On 24 Dec 2011, I emailed them to refund the payment if the order was not going to be processed.

Again, there was no reply.

I sent another email on 2 Jan 2012. This time someone replied claiming that they have to speak to the supplier on the goods. I requested at that point to CANCEL THE ORDER AND REFUND THE PAYMENT.

But my request was ignored despite NUMEROUS emails sent to them. This company doesn't bother to reply emails and once they take your money, they do not care about any customer service.

The company received £1230 from us on 21/05/12 and to this date they have not delivered a log cabin. Today we got a refund of £1230 and we were offered no details regarding the problems we have experienced nor interest nor compensation. As a result we had to purchased the closest specification log cabin for £1619.99 and rectify the concrete base we were ill adviced by Company to built. Also we too days off work. There are more people affected, we started the thread on http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?p=54673283 as some people are already coming forward.
