social companion registration/advertising fee »1809200921/09/200917

Wanted to become a 'social companion' - one who accompanies business people to events. Was promised nothing to pay until booking found. Booking found for the next day. Given credible details about the person & event I was to attend. Paid £265 for set-up/registration/advertising fee for 1 years bookings. The next day the booking was 'postponed' due to the person returning to USA (where they were 'apparently' from) - due to a family bereavement.

Was told they would quickly find me something to replace this booking and was assured this was unfortunate and 'unusual'.

Also, due to the initial confidence and speed of this 'apparent' booking, my daughter also signed up. She was also quickly given a booking for the following day. We paid £195 for her in the same way. Her booking was also 'postponed' due to meetings apparently being cancelled and the client having to return to Italy. But she was assured it would be re-established in the very near future.

We both smelt a rat and I immediately rang them and accused them of it being a scam. I was assured it wasnt and that in order for us to get some compensation, our profiles would be prioritised and we would get a very quick booking to replace those cancelled ones.

I also emailed them telling them of our bitter disappointment with what had happened and sincerely hoped this was just genuine bad luck and not a scam.

I have since been on the internet (as I had been advised by a family member that she had seen others being scammed by the this company), to find several others that have been through similar situations as us.

We have been made temporarily penniless by them, as we scraped the money together in good faith as they 'seemed' plausible and genuine in the way they operated.

We are now devastated that we have been made fools of. I have emailed them and also left a message on their answer-machine telling them that we have uncovered them as fraudsters and that we request our money back forthwith, otherwise we will join the others in exposing this business and closing them down.

Non Existant Bookings »03/09/200909/09/20097

After looking for extra income found a Companion website which seemed very professional, legitimate and was for social bookings.  Sent details off and was contacted immediately.  Had a persistant lady called Becki contacting me saying they had a booking for the Thursday and a possible one for the Friday but they needed the fee for the website and this also covered transpotration.  A friend also joined and they asked if we would do a double booking on the Sunday evening - this time she dealt with a lady calle Daisy who was also very persistant but had all the details of the booing etc.  My first booking was cancelled due to the fee not been received in time.  The second booking which was for the two of us was for a Corporate event.  I received a phone call at 9AM on the Sunday morning saying that the speaker was ill and the even had been cancelled.  Delightful Stars will not return our calls, respond to emails and now the money had been received they have not been in contact.  They have just sent an email with their Terms and Conditions, however we have pointed out that the only way they said they take any payment is when a confirmed booking has been made - obviously this hasn't happened.  We have tried to get out fees back but they are ignoring calls and emails.  I have kept all emails sent and received to them.  On searching Google we found that someone else had the same experience.  There telephone number is 0845 867 2367 or 0845 527 1646.  Their bank account is under the name of Newvision Internet Sales Ltd - sort code 20-97-58 a/c 33144313.  We have informed them that if we didn't receive a reply we would take the matter further.  For obvious reasons we would prefer our names not to be displayed but are will ing to give any information you require as many other people are probably been conned by this company.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting your rip-off comments on this website! I was going to pay Delightful Companions £365.00 tomorrow to become a companion with the promise of immediate work, but I now think they are the same company as Delightful Stars. Geez, are there any legitimate companion agencies online?

Best Regards
David

I joined this escort agency 4 weeks ago and they  took a fee of £350 for becoming a member and promised me work . They rang me again a few days later to say they had a "A" list star coming over from the US and they thought i would be suitable for him. The first meeting was  called off due to the weather conditions and since then they have kept putting me off .They do not ring me or return my calls and they will not give me their address . fraudulent date »10th july 201012/07/20105

i spoke to a lady called kim who had assured their was a booking fee paid by "george" who would pay me to take me to dinner -- this was a non sexual date. I had to pay the registration fee of £225 before they released the info to me. I paid it into a Halifax account S L Howell account number 00371244 sort code 11-13-17, surely the bulding societies can also do something as they are also using the account fraudulently. Well "george" never rang me once I had paid the money. I tried to ring office , it went to a answer machine which is a box number, I also tried the 0831 no which just rang and went dead. This is a complete scam, they are getting people to pay for registration but there are no jobs. There is no office we can visit and no address. THIS IS FRAUD. Also I am sure the TAXMAN doesnt know about this. All transactions are cash. Their other site is adultjobsuk.com its the same people. They have to be caught and stopped now. I have also reported them to GUMTREE ----- NOW . I am also goingt o send email to Donal McIntyre to investigate.

Perfect Company Are a Scam Company »20/3/201125/03/20115
After having a few lengthy discussions with 'Sophie Williams' and looking on the internet to see if they had any bad press i joined Perfect Company as a non sexual escort for the fee of £290. I must add i was aggressively pursued for this money which at the time i thought to be a good sign that they were on the ball business wise. A couple of days later i was contacted to say that an 'executive client', Adam a tax exile from Monaco, was interested in booking me but to go through with the date i would have to pay £3000 to cover admin fees and go on the executive listings. This wsnt mentioned at all when i joined. I couldn't believe it! They wouldn't accept a post payment after id been on the the date which is when alarm bells started to go off. I refused and the amount miraculously went down from 3000 to 1500 to 700. Again when i refused to hand over any more money until id seen a return on my investment i was told to be patient and the telephones calls dried up. All i'm asking for is a full refund but unsurprisingly they haven't granted this.

Scam »30/08/0831/08/20084

I found this Escort company online and I signed up on their website. About 2 hours later I got a call from a lady called Katie from the company who explained that the company was based in heathrow and had been operating for 6 years, that the dealt with business men . She said I was supposed to pay an upfront fee of £220.00 to build my profile and they would give me assignments. They called back to advise that they already had a job for me the next saturday so as soon as I would pay the fee I would get the job. I went to the bank to deposit the money to "Select Market Limited" HSBC sort 40-25-31 acc 62041138 . A soon as they got the deposit they called me back to say the man would get in touch with me on that night to give me the details of where we were goijng to meet. Since then I never heard from them ever again. This is obviously a con company who leads you into false job promises and as soon as you pa y them your fee they disappear. You must not beleive a word of what they say. They are conning you using "nice" ladies who lead you to beleive that all this is genuine. Do not ever sign up with them or you will lose all your money. Not sure how they are still operating as they must have conned more than one person. They should get done for fraud.  These people make their money out of the desperation of other people . How do they sleep at night!!! They are lowlives......

Fake escort agency? »Oct. 2nd 200923/11/20094

I searched on gumtree looking for part time work and came across this company.

They were very quick to call me back, explaining they were a social escort agency only.

They offered three types of package to advertise myself on their website. I chose the middle package with two photos and some information about myself which I wrote.

I was told I was able to work straight away after I paid a membership fee. They were full of promises that I would get work in a few days of joining.

That was back in the begining of October and still no work. I contacted them via emal, no response. I then phoned them and they gave me some excuse that there was not enough clients in my area and that they would change my preference to National, which ment a wider scale of London so I could get more work offers.

I am now left with the feeling of utter frustration and anger that they are still trading. I have logged onto their website and they have recruited more girls and still advertising on gumtree!!

I even asked my male friend to pose as a client, go onto the website and request me as an escort or Perfect Partner, as they call them. That was useless as the email he sent bounced back! Then I knew I just been duped big time!!

My husband and I were looking for a way to earn some extra income and we decided to go to delightful stars as they seemed to promise a professional and legitimate escort agency. We spoke to a lady called Daisy who told us that we would have to pay £265 for a years subscription to the website online brochure. We did a bank transfer and was told that my husband had a booking with a lady called Claire on Friday 18th Sept a car was going to pick my husband up and return him free of charge, she said we would get a call Friday to confirm what time. We did get a call on Friday but this was from a lady called Karen who said Claire was ill and that the booking was cancelled. Since then we have tried to contact Daisy but she is never available to talk. We keep getting told excuse after excuse. BE WARNED DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY THEY ARE JUST AFTER YOUR MONEY WITH THE PROMISE OF A GOOD LIFE IT IS NOT TRUE THEY ARE CON ARTIST.

SCAMMED »03/08/200908/10/20093

I found this "escort agency" called Delightful stars and contacted them looking for work.  They seemed all real and I thought great at last I can set myself back up again financially (especially in the job climate and recession) by doing a bit of non-sexual or sexual escort work.  They asked me for pictures which I sent in, thankfully no incriminating ones, they said they loved the look of me (which they probably tell everyone to get them hooked and eager to carry on) I unfortunately fell for this and carried on.  They proceeded to take my details of myself- personality traits, eye colour, bra size, measurments, heights and the like.

This is where the scamming part comes in, to finalise me being a fully-fleged working escort I had to pay £265.00 for a "booking fee".  They even said they already had a date lined up for the very same night and I would "earn" £500. At that time I was thinking brilliant, I can afford that so I went ahead.

Funnily enough the date then fell in and that they had another few work dates for the next week- which of course needless to say both cancelled.

I am gutted because now I am struggling financially, I was looking foward to setting myself up and go travelling which obviously will not happen.

I want to make this known to everyone and anyone it is just not worth it.  I have tried to contact them on several occasion but to no avail and would like further support on getting this very much needed cash back.

If people have read this far then please be aware and extra vigilant, it is so easy to get lured in at the prospect of easy money and a better financial future. Trust me, I have been there done that. I now feel like a complete mug really, let down, angry and hurt that people out there can do this.

If I can get this back then at least I can feel happier that these con merchants have'nt won the battle.

Kind Regards and Many Many Thanks,

Emily ( feeling like this- CryFrown)

Signed up with this company, paying their admin fee of 300 pounds. I was promised to do very well and make lots of money, so far (3 months) have not heard anything from them. When you call, they cut you off and do not reply to e-mails. It seem that the only thing they are interested in is the ´´modest´´ admin fee of 300 pounds. Since then I have found several agencies that do not charge an admin fee at all and guess what, they have even given me appointments as well!

Compensation »26/11/200903/12/20092

After being unemployed for just over a month and knowing how bad things were last christmas, I had registered with fish4jobs and during one of my usual searches for jobs, just the usual customer services etc. (and after having sent about 50-60 emails to other employment agencies) a company called Unique121 came up with details about applying for Escort work. I then had a phonecall from someone called Danny Wilson (I'm sure that's not his real name) and it all sounded quite straight forward. I've done escort work in the past and earned good money but hadn't done it for some years. When you are on jobseekers allowance and a single parent, you start thinking about doing any work available. I was asked for £350 to register but said I could not pay that much. Danny said he would see if he could get the agency to bring the registration fee down and he came back to me saying they would accept £280. I agreed and (yes we can all say with hindsight can't we?) like an idiot I paid the £280. One of the phone lines doesn't work now but I see from other complaints that this scam has been going on for some time. How are they allowed to carry on for so long? Their website is still up and running. I'm glad to see there are some who didn't pay it and saved themselves from sleepless nights. What a shame some people have to prey on the jobless.
