This dealership knowingly sold me a faulty vehicle with a dealer's warranty. After returning the vehicle a week later for repairs, the dealership proceeded to use and abuse my car to the tune of 3,000 miles over the next 3 weeks while I was under the assumption my transmission was being replaced. When I returned to pick up my car, the dealership had closed down and the building was abandoned. I found my car had been completely abused, was trashed inside and out, and had not been fixed at all. The owner, Shelton Lanham, lied to me repeatedly about the situation, ripped off a number of other people as well, and is a dispicable human being who deserves to rot in a prison cell!

I have been riped off by Halfords in Alperton London. I pay £110 for a new tom tom one Europe 22 .i was told the only isue with it was that the box had been open up for a customer . the fact is that some parts were missing from inside the  box .The divise has an Old set of maps and no safety camara alerts sistem and no way to fix or download them whatsoever.takes hours to get it started and it often get stuck .the battery doesnt hold the charge for more than a day if not on use. and often just doesnt comes on at all.I  try to return it back same day i got it but HALFORDS had close early.I have tryed to return it couple times and was told it was not cover for HALFORDS garanty.I just fell i was swindle and robed for a big company and not much i can do about it.HALFORDS JUST RIP ME OFF of my money .

AutoLogix promised me a new motor for my purchase. What I received was very used, damaged, and the wrong motor for my truck. They promised pictures and I never received any. They promised to call back with updates and they never did. I'm trying with little luck to get these guys to return my money and let me go elsewhere. Initially they were very responsive taking and returning my calls. The order was placed the card was charged and now they screen my calls NOT answering. In the event they pick up my call they'll answer with my name obviously showing up on caller ID. This company and its sister and parent companies are frauds. They are AutoLogix Technologies, Apex Automotive Team, and the parent company AutoTech Corp. Do NOT do business with any of these companies.

My husband and I were charged for 1/2 hour labor cost ($30.00) to do a simple oil change.  About 10 months ago it cost us $35.00 from Country Automotive, but on 4/24/09 we had another oil change and it was $63.00 ($30 was the labor) and they only put in 4 quarts of non-synthetic oil.  We also had two tires installed and the labor was $60.00 (one full hour).  This auto company has been in business for years and shouldn't take 1-1/2 hours for these two simple procedures.


Last year we had 4 tires installed with an oil change and the bill was $400.


Our total bill on 4/24/09 for 2 tires installed and 1 oil change was $365.58.  And the worst is we were out of a car for 2 days.


Another thing, 3 times he "fixed" my windshield washer pump and it still leaks.  Each time I brought it back, he charged me again.


This company is a rip off.  We tried to call and email the owner Rick Reynolds and he has ignored us.  The worst thing is he is our next door neighbor (and we thought our friend) but not anymore.


Please do not take your vehicle to him.

I spent £899.99 on a Set of fantastic looking Lenso S73 18 inch alloy wheels back in november 2008. In February 2009 in cleaning my car and the wheels i discovered that the chrome outer lip had blistered on all 4 wheels. I took these wheels of my car because they were that bad an i got in touch with Lenso regarding the problem.


Basicailly the answer i got was, uts not our problem and its got nothing to do with the warrenty so its just tough luck. They even tried to offer me a new set for half price !!!!! which i found quite insulting !!!! Im more than sure that £900 set of alloy wheels do not start to blister after 3 months an all i want is my money back. I will continue to persue in getting my money back but i could be some time !!!


Do not ever use this company !!!!!

Im certainley not a suposideley jelaous rival, and I can tell you they ripped me off, I bought an ABS pump for my car, I couldnt use it as they didnt give me all the parts I needed, Wouldnt give me my money back.


I ended up get so sick of unreturned telephone calls, lies lies and lies that I went and bought a new one, which turned out to be cheaper than there incomplete USELESS used one.


 


Absolutley discusted in how they would treat me just because I am a woman, but I can assure you of this 1st 4 parts. This isnt the last you will here from me

Myself and my husband purchased a Sat.Nav from the above branch and my husband wanted it for his new job in June this year, the product had only been used 5 or 6 times because it was not needed, the celephane sticker was still attached, this product was given a year guarantee which expired in March this year, and as I said only used a few times, trading standards told me that a product should be of a satisfactory quality and last a reasonable amount of time, if this is not the case then a repair or replacement or refund shall be deemed appropriate, in accordance with the sale of goods act legislation 1979, this letter should be addressed to Halfords, I sent this to the head office, a reply came back saying take it back to the store and it will be sent back to Tom Tom and repaired, when my husband did this which my husband did before, they telephoned Tom Tom and Tom Tom wanted £75 just to look at it. The product is still now at the Chesterfield shop and they are doing nothing, I don't think this is fair because we can't afford to throw £159.99 away for useless products that don't work, I have now resorted to this, I don't want any trouble because I have health problems and my husband's parents both have cancer and we can't afford to pay anything to use solicitors, and don't want the hasle,but it is not fair and want something done, can you help us, Thanks Stella Homer and Richard Homer.

I did my MOT at Qwikfit on the 30-06-2011, it failed on the emissions, disappointed, i phoned Halfords to see if they could sort it out, the Acocks Green Centre to be exact, I spoke to a guy there called paul or john, i asked him if he could sort it so i can get my mot, he said he cant say until he has had a look at the car, he asked me to take it in first thing in the morning on the 01-07-2011 at 9am, i did so, i left the car there along with me mot emission readings from kwikfit, he told me he would call me back once they have identified the fault.
at 12am i received a phone call to say that they found the MAFF, the Mass Air Flow Meter to be faulty and that he can fit a new one and said "i guarantee you that if you have this fitted, your MOT will pass" he said it would cost £198 and that there is also a hole in the exhaust and that he will patch that for me. Because i needed the car, i told him to go ahead, he said he will ring me before close of business to let me know when it was done, 5pm approached no phone call so i went up there, there was some guy at the desk who told me that its almost finished, after waiting with my friend Justin for over half hour, later I was handed the keys and documents and a new emissions readings and asked to pay the £198,I was then told to take it back to qwick fit and that the MOT will pass now, I rung qwick fit straight away and booked it in for the following day 02-07-11, took it in first thing in the Morning and what do you know, the MOT has failed on emissions again, the guy tried to get the car has hot as possible the test ran for more than half an hour and its still failing and will not go to a safe level, disappointed i left kwikfit and headed home, rung halfords to tell them and all they said was take it in monday as the guy who worked on it is not in, i needed the car desperately so i took it all the way to Warrington to another halfords centre to double check if there is anything i am missing, i came off the motor war with a hot car and straight in to the halfords Warrington, the guy there checked the emissions again and it failed, he said that the halfords in acocks green should not have charged me that much becuse they did not identify or solve the problem, i was frustrated so i took the car to my father-in-law who took it to his mates garage and got the work done on it and paid for a new mot and it passed, acocks green halfords is a rip off and i want my money back.

My car broke down and had to call AA to take my car to nearest garage. The AA guy who assisted my car told me that your car alternator is not working and may need replacement. My car is Mercedes benz 240 CLK 2003 registration. As it was weekend holiday and the garage was closing, i had to leave my car. They said someone is going to phone you before the change of parts. They did call and quoted me £495 which included a new alternator and labour. They never gave me a breakdown of of the cost of alternator. As i was desperate to get my car back for use and car will not start unless alternator is replaced (as told to me by them) - i had no other option but to go ahead.

When i saw my receipt on collection of the car, the receipt did not have any breakdown of costs of new alternator used / which company alternator they have used and the price of labour etc..

When i questioned; the chap at the reception refused to give me the breakdown and said this is a billion pounds company and telling me they never give the details of price. I have subsequently looked into the price and the type of Bosch alternator they apprantly used - and the price is around £120 to £130 maximum. Cant believe that the labour costs is around £350.. total ripp off, i phoned them to complain but no one has called me back ! i want my money back

On March 1st, 2009 my 2008 Titan was hit  we took the truck to E & J AutoBody  to get repaired they did such a bad jpb that we had to take the truck back to thwm on  five different occasions the insurance company finally said take the truck to another shop to get the work done correctly no other body wanted to work on the truck because of poor work. E & J Autobody had paint overspray  evereywhere they damaged the door, the fender and didnot replace the bumperpaid  to repair. They ruined the brand new cap on the back of the truck then tried to put armor oil on it to disguise what they did. The armoroil ran down the side od the truck everytime it rained we took it back again so that they could try and correct it did not work. then they lied and said they did not do the damage.

I contacted this agency for work as i am in debit, i got a call from a girl called Tina, she called me back and told me there was a man called Craig that wanted to meet for drinks and I would be paid £475 for the evening, Tina told me I would have to go to the co-op and send £275 using a western union form and the name to put on the top was Katie as she was the duty manager. she seemed honest and had told me she was off on the Saturday and that would phone me on the Monday to find out how it all went and could give me more work after this.

I got a call 1 hour before from the agency saying that Craig had been called back to Scotland and he was really disappointed and that Craig had wanted to meet up with me at a later date, I have had no call ofering me work, and I have rang the office to speak with Tina who is always out meeting with Clients,I spoke with another girl whom said it was because my pic was mot on the site but i explained that Tina had advised that she would promote me as she got paid for every client. I have since requested a refund but have heard nothing from the company.

This has taught me a lesson never trust, i thought i was going to work my way out of debit but ended up further in it.

I took my vehicle to the dealer for an engine nock.


After performing $800 worth of repairs and diagnosis I was told that I needed a new engine.


The problem was significant enough that they should have been able to diagnose the problem without the unnecessary repairs that ran up my bill.


The dealer did an engine flush, replaced two sets of lifters, and then check the rod bearings.  The actual problem was a the main bearing.  The end play on the crank shaft was out by 0.030.  They should have been able to diagnose this problem immediately.

I was in the process of purchasing a 1999 volvo from the the blue book value was about six thousand dollars after their finance charge the total was twenty-four thousand dollars what a rip off. I put two Thousand dollars down a few weeks later Mr Ritchie called me and alice and stated that the deal did'nt go thru and they wanted their car back I said ok. I asked if he was going to have my deposit to return to me he stated no! He said dont bring the car back I am going to have a tow truck pick it up to take it to another place at your expense and I am Taking the car and I am not giving you a penny. Then he refused to talk to me any further. One would like to think that you can trust people that are in business like First Choice auto but I fell Its really a shame when business just simply take advantage of a poor person like me. You cancled the deal you're taking the car back and you think its ok to keep my money Two thousand dollars is a lot of money to me just to let some people steal it from me. I just needed transportation to get back and forth to work. Life is hard enough but when you have people in business smiling in your face assuring you that you can trust them then using their business to steal your money well its just wrong.If I had a business I would bend over backwards to make sure I treated every person fairly and that would assure me repeated customers. They know a poor person like me cant afford a lawyer. I just wonder how many people they take advantage of and just simply get away with it. It's just wrong.

I sent in an ECU for remanufacturing ($299 plus overnight return shipping) and of course mine was "unrepairable" so it would be an additional $200 dollars for one from stock. They promised immediate shipment... that never happened. Initially, when you could get through to them, they would give you an appology and then make another promise that never happend! After a week of this, they just stopped responding alltogether and you can't reach them at all.  To make matters worse, they have the original ECU and my wife's truck is dead-in-the-water.


This company (Auto Computer Systems) is a division of AutoLogix Technologies, LLC (same Address) and has the BBB mark on their website, but I found out that they are NOT endorsed by the BBB and actually have a rating of "F". (I wished I had checked this out before.)
We are out $537 dollars, our original ECU, and have a dead truck.... STAY AWAY FROM THESE JERKS!!!


PS - Right after the initial charge of $337 on my C.C., our card was compromised and we had to cancel it.  I've never had this problem before. I can't prove that it was them, but now I find it highly suspicious.  You decide.
