On 23/02/2009  I ordered 800 cigarettes from ww.cutpricetobacco.co.uk for my wife & I spending £170. Delivery was quoted as 7-10 days but possibly up to 30 days....  This should have been  warning!


After 14 days I received a letter from HM Customs & Excise to say that my order had been confiscated, however they would release it for a further payment of £188.


I have tried to contact the website cutpricetobacco.co.uk to ask for a refund or to ask them to resend the order but without success!


Over the past 12 months I have used 3 other websites for cheap tobacco with absolutely no problems and delivery in 7 days!

I ordered Smart Smoker on November 17th 2009. It has taken over three weeks to get to me. The first few times I called they told me that I should get it any day. I ask them if there where going to be any extra charges and all they told me was they would extend my trial period. Which was by a couple of days; for a product that I haven't even recieved yet. Before my added trail time, I finally made up my mind that I should go ahead and cancel the order. Previous to attempting to cancel my order they told me that there wasn't anything they could do until I got my kit. The next person I talk to, Christopher, told me that the kit did not have to be post marked or back at the company; all I had to do was to call in and they would cancel my order. Well, I did call back and when I did the woman told me that there wasn't anything that she could do. My second trial time came on December the 7th and I have been trying for days now to just get in touch with someone, because an extra $99.99 has been charged to my account.
If there is anybody that can do anything about this, please let me know. I just want my money back and I would like to help others avoid this particular company of crooks. I would love to see this company go down.

I filled out a web advertisement for SmartSmoker USA, in November of '09,, for a trial version of an E-cigarette. Since then, my credit card has been charged an additional 75.00, and some cents for auto order. I never authorized any such charges, Never received the product, and now, I have canceled my card!! There is no customer service phone that is valid.
If I don't get a complete refund, I will post to Facebook, and MySpace that SmartSmoker USA, is a scam co.
It's really too bad because they have a decent product, but I will never order from them again, and will see to it no one else ever does either!

After ordering ten 50 gram pkts of Amber Leaf tobacco from this company back in July 2009, i duly paid them £69.00 by debit card and waited the suggested time of up to 30 days for delivery. However, after using another online company before for the same purpose, i remembered they only ever took 10 days max to deliver.


Well, the warning signs were there from the start. Firstly, after 10 days or so i had not heard anything regarding my order status. Not even if they had received my payment. I logged back on to their website, then saw that the order had not even been moved from my shopping basket. I contacted them and they informed me they had taken my money but did not have a delivery address. This is despite me giving them it at the order process. I supplied my address again and asked them to inform me when the order is despatched.


On their website they say they will send a tracking no when the order is sent. After another week, i still hadn't received this. I contacted them and they sent me the number with the name of the carrier from Spain, Correos. They said it had been sent but had not told me as claimed.


I waited until mid August with still no sign of the parcel. I contacted Cut Price Tobacco with no reply. More warning signs. I then contacted Correos, in English as i speak no Spanish. They sent me back a reply in Spanish so I had it translated by a Spanish friend. It was garbled and made no sense at all. I contacted Correos again asking them to explain in English and they sent me back a rude and condasending mail, chastising me for having the audacity to question them and not being able to speak Spanish. They claimed the Royal Mail had the parcel.


I contacted the Royal Mail and they told me that there was no record of this parcel, surprise surprise.


I went back to Cut Price Tobacco and only after i sent them several mails did they bother to reply. They said they would look in to this and get back to me. Well, after 2 weeks they havn't. I have since bomberded them with mails asking them to explain themselves. On their webpage they claim to send the parcels via recorded delivery, so insurance applies. I asked them to claim this and refund me. Still no reply. I have sent them many pesky e mails, threatening legal action as well as exposure to their shady practices. Still no answer. I have goaded them in to a response, insulting their shady operation hoping they would at least tell me to get lost. Still no reply.


I will not let this drop however. I've bombarded their website with fake orders totalling thousands of pounds, insulted them by e mail and tried to be a big old pest. My next step is to contact their payment processer, Alert Pay and inform them of the shady operation they are servicing.


If you have had similar experiences with this company, let me know and we can maybe gang up on them!


The moral of this is, be warned.

SmartSmoker, report to the IRS the customers that buy cigarettes from their company, maybe that is the law, what is really bad is that if you keep buying their products they did not report you.

If the client stop smoking and do not buy anymore, them the denounce you to the IRS, and believe me, that can be a very big problem, because is not only the taxes that you have to pay back, there are interest and penalties that can reach more than $ 1000.00.

Do not buy from this people, because if you do once, then you have to keep buying forever.
This is complete true, you have to give your SS and checking account # when buy from this companies, I quit smoking and stop to buy, but I know and have friend that still buy from them and the company do not report their names, I also show some of this people the documents fron the IRS, where show in details every delivery they made for 3 years, of course they have afraid now.
this is costing me more that 3000.00.
This is a real life experience with this company, if you believe it, good if not just take the risk

Smart Smoker is in the UK, their "customer service" number is to a call center in VA. I was also ripped off by these unscrupulous dirtbags & have since received a refund (credit to my account) of $74.99 of the $109.99 they debited. They are refusing to refund the original $9.95 for the "trial offer" and charged me a $25.00 "restocking fee" although THEIR company claimed a computer glitch delayed my shipment for 30 days!
I have submitted an email to the company & also called the OR State Dept of Justice (Attorney General) & they also contacted the company. There IS recourse but because they're in the UK it may have to be addressed there. I googled UK trade dept & several links came up.
I gave Smart Smoker 10 business days to refund the $34.95 or I will be pursuing resolution at many different levels, including within the UK & the USA. We need to get the word out people, these scammers need to be stopped.

The only bad habbit I have left is smoking. Through these tough times I have switched to rolling my own for the last  3 years. I have tried many brands and settled with Top Menthol because it was the freashest and true to taste. I say "settled" for Top because that is just what I did. The price is in the higher range,  You would think that being 'TOP' shelf priced it would be 'TOP' shelf quality. All Roll your own tobacoo comes with a few stems it is to be expected anymore.  But my recent purchase has me flabbergasted.


Since the price of loose or roll your own tobacoo went up last month. It doubled in price in my area, from $2.45 per .65 oz box of top to $6.75 for the same box. If that isn't bad enough the  box I bought contained .7 grams of stems. This may seem petty to some people but to me This is straight up ripping off the buyer.

I ordered this electronic cigarette on a 10 day trial on 11/1/2009, the product arrived on 12/5/2009. On 12/8/2009 I was charged $99.99 for their free trial.
I tried calling them, the number is a voice machine.
I tried emailing them 5 times, no reply.
This is a scam rip off company.
You must cancel your 10 day trial and obtain an RA number, which is impossible to do.
I filed a complaint with the FTC.
The only thing i could do was block future charges from them on my Visa card.
I put the original charge in dispute.

I ordered merchandise from online from this company. Originally stated that it was a free trial and all I would be charged for was the shipping cost ($3.94) only. No additional charges, no commitments... YEAH RIGHT! I guess I was scammed because not even 30 days have past and I have been charged additional $126.78 on my credit card. I still have not seen the product. Called CAPITAL ONE MASTER CARD and of course they CANNOT HELP, I was told that I would have to dispute it and that can only happen basically after 90 days. So I guess I just have to wait and get charged for next 80+ days while I keep paying for this bill or my credit is damaged. Unfortunately i cannot make a stop payment either. I called the phone # above, of course no one answers in time and its long distance. I hope there is some way because there is no website for these people or company or whatever you want to call it. I will keep trying in the mean time.

I did not order anything from this company. The only thing I ordered was clean smoke for a shipping fee of 3.95 pounds from a company called LB CyberNet Entertainment Ltd. I never received anything at all. I still have the web invoice saved. However, I found that the above amount was charged to my credit card without my authorisation, and no product was received. I do not know what the charge is for. The only information showing on the credit card statement was StrongHealth +442031399027GB, and the amount charged. Please help me to reclaim this.

The above information was for payment to PAYPAL for a online cigarette company, that if you link to cig-sale.com, there is a list of several companies you can buy from, which I did. After transaction completed, 3 days later, no information from company about ship time, etc. PAYPAL is waiting for an answer because I filed a complaint on my behalf. The company supposed hotmail account is listed as tradingccc.com which is bogus. I thought I was purchasing from the UKRAINE only to find the funds went to a bogus company, with no address, etc. in China. Also this was posted to the receipt of payment: This email confirms that 陈 瑞梅 has accepted the $174.00 USD you sent.
and this: Seller's Transaction ID: 17B62882K9300483H
also some chinese characters followed email I received from paypal that person accepted payment. This is such a disgrace and alot of money to lose and I have learned a lesson here. Hopefully you can find others that have been ripped off by this individual and please let me know any information you may receive about this thief. Thank you

I paid £288 to this company for cigarettes which were never delivered because they weren't packaged correctly. These were seized by UK customs. There is no redress they do not send them back to supplying company but destroy them.

Duty Free Depot knows all this but just send you a bog standard email for a few days saying get them to return them and we will refund, knowing full well that they do not do this. Then inspite of many more emails they choose to ignore you and get on with what they do best RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!

AVOID AVOID AVOID I WOULD SAY TO EVERYONE. You wont get your goods there are many complaints about them on the internet if you search.
