Paymatters.co.uk is it now illegal ? »2013 - 201426/04/20132
Paymatters.co.uk Tax avoidance Or Evasion ???

Tax avoidance is the legal use of tax laws to reduce one's tax burden. Both tax evasion and avoidance can be viewed as forms of tax noncompliance, as they describe a range of activities that are unfavorable to a state's tax system, although such characterization of tax avoidance is suspect, given that avoidance is lawful, within self-creating systems.

Does this mean if I am a Paymatters.co.uk client I could be prosecuted for non-compliance under new UK TAX laws ???

Please let me know your findings, Very worried!!!

Company Set up Fee and Will fees »March 200616/03/20091

We purchased a villa on Sands Beach Resort, in December 2005 and on completion of the sale asked about a Spanish will.  We were put in touch with Jenny Harris of Quill Wills who prepared what we thought was a Spanish will.  In March they contacted us saying they could offer us a solution to saving tax if we set up a company.  This we did because we thought we would save on inhertitance taxes on our deaths which would benefit our family.  The whole senario turned into a nightmare after that.  We had accounts filed fraudulentaly on our behalf even though we supplied the information.  This occurred in Spain and in UK.  We then uncover the Director of this company has allegedly been convicted of fraud and served time in prison.

Its taken 2 years to unravel the mess and costs us thousands in sorting it all out.

Here is another man who with he had not used an umbrella now:
What if I use a non-compliant umbrella company?
These are some of the stories from real life contractors who are facing additional tax bills, plus penalties, plus interest...
"To be honest going with Edge is the worst mistake of my life - like many of u i am an average family guy and if I have to pay the liability it is going to cost me my house and place an emotional burden on my family that I'd like to think we can deal with but but in reality I cannot contemplate - sorry love we need to sell the house because i did something which wasn't illegal but is now seen as illegal by HMRC?"
There is an old saying 'if it seems too good to be true it very probably is'. People obviously want the best for themselves and their families but you have to be sensible - tax rates start at 20% in the UK and rise to 45% so a 90% take home will obviously fall under the category of 'too good to be true'.
"I hear what you are saying about the emotional stresses - I've had too many sleepless nights and depressing days. I regret going down the EBT route, but what is done is done."
Unfortunately HMRC investigations often take a very long time (years rather than months) so the sort of stress and anxiety felt is unlikely to be short lived.
"They do indeed seem to be staggering these .. I came home to an HMRC assesment (in the tens of thousands) on my 08/09 SANZAR engagement, on Friday evening, to ensure I had a sleepless weekend."
HMRC do not only consider your tax liabilities for a single year; they are likely to investigate your tax affairs, in minute detail, covering several years. The bill that subsequently follows may then be issued for each of those years.
"I received the dreaded 08/09 letter a month ago...I am extremely worried about this as the amount requested is very large & only relates to part of my time with them."

"They [HMRC] did dismiss the fact it had a fully disclosed DOTAS,stating :- "HMRC does not approve any scheme designed to avoid tax".
As HMRC have advised to this contractor, just because a scheme has been registered DOTAS (Disclosure of Tax Avoidance Scheme) it does not mean that they have approved the scheme and it certainly does not mean that your tax affairs won't be investigated at a later date.
"I contracted through this lot between 2003-4 and since then have been out of the UK.

Just received a Notice of Further assessment from HMRC "Special Civil Investigations" department for approx 20K for the year to April 2004. Interest is also payable (although not detailed) from Jan 05 and a "surcharge" may also be payable.
I tried to telephone/email Consulting Overseas but the phone goes to voicemail and the emails bounced.

When I signed up they said the scheme was watertight .. had been approved by their tax lawyers etc.. etc.. Obviously not!
Many companies that start tax avoidance schemes do so to make a quick buck and then disappear when the going gets tough, leaving the contractor with a big bill and a lot of stress. A lawyer may opine that a scheme is 'watertight' in theory but this will cut no ice at a tax tribunal; it will be up to a Judge to decide.
"The problem with these investigations is that they can drag on for years. The Montpelier one has been going on for 5 years now without a resolution. If the Revenue ultimately wins then you face interest penalties (currently 8.5%) on top of the back tax".
Unfortunately, the tax debt you start off with won't necessarily be the one that you end up with. Ultimately you will end up paying far more than you would have had you not used the scheme in the first place!
"I was also contacted by the Revenue letting me know that the

I, as a professional person, introduce wholesalers to retailers and clients often require tax planning advice. I came across PayMatters LLC when searching on Google and actually recommended them to one of my clients.
I have subsequently had communication from this client in question who was more than 'unimpressed' with PayMatters. In fact, they told me that they were the worst company they have dealt with - which is obviously, a terrible reflection on me.
I have now found a number of posts and blogs about the PayMatters Directors and it appears that they were involved in a VAT 'scam' when they owned Harrington Brooke's - and have little if any tax qualifications / experience.
I want to warn others who are considering PayMatters - and to advise them to stay away and never to recommend them.

You can't give less than one star to this company, if you could I would.

You would have to be insane to let a company or it's directors who was involved in a VAT scam look after your payroll. Illegal or immoral it's just as bad. Maybe technically they could keep the VAT but let's be honest here, it was NOT theirs to keep the VAT came from their clients not their pocket.

Moving on, there are many other companies out there that have no history of pending frauds against their clients or past partners/investors. It's going to end badly either way! Not good for any clients of Paymatters.co.uk or Miles Grady...

I have gone down the old fashioned route until all the various bodies decide on what is or what is not compliance.

PLEASE READ THIS. IS IT REALLY WORTH IT ???

MP slams Umbrella Company scams in Payroll Companies debate
Umbrella Company Scams

MP John Cryer, said in Parliament yesterday in a debate on Payroll Companies:-

Another scam is the use of umbrella companies, which is rather more complicated. Workers remain employed, but by an umbrella company, which is in turn set up by the payroll company.

The cost saving is made by a tax dodge that allows tax relief on employees' travel and subsistence to be used to pay employers' national insurance. Since employers' NI runs at 13.8%, we are talking about a considerable saving. That is the incentive that payroll companies have to set up the umbrella companies that allow the dodge to take place.

So, that's Umbrella Companies that he railed against. So, what next?

Offshore Umbrella Companies

He doesn't like offshore umbrella companies either. He said:-

A final example of the sorts of practice being engaged in is the use of offshore status. For example, International Subcontracting Solutions Ltd employs 24,000 supply teachers across the UK. Because it is based in the Channel Islands and is a payroll company, ISS is not liable to pay employers' NI, although it does technically employ the teachers.

At the same time, the recruitment agencies in the UK that actually find the jobs for the teachers are also not liable to pay employers' NI. On all the fronts I describe, the Treasury is losing out in a big way”to the tune of billions of pounds.

So how much money do these ˜scams' cost? He said:-

The Elliott report puts the amount of money lost to the Treasury at £1.9 billion, but that only covers construction. It is an estimate, but it is pretty accurate. There have been no detailed reports, which is why I have concentrated on the Elliott report, but from what I can gather, such practices are spreading to other industries. I have received e-mails describing how they are spreading into the hospitality, catering and retail industries.

Billions

If we take all those industries together, my suspicion is that billions of pounds are being lost to the Treasury at a time when we are seeing savage cuts to public services left, right and centre. Every Member can cite cuts to services in their constituencies and local authorities used by the people who they represent, and yet all this money seems to be disappearing down the Swanee.

Thousands, certainly tens of thousands, and possibly millions of workers in the long term, will be deprived of basic rights at work, their holiday and sick pay, and their pension and redundancy entitlements. That will do only one thing: fuel a lack of confidence in the economic future of this country.

Best wishes

I have read all about you guy's at paymatters (accountants)?.

If I were the PayMatters.co.uk shareholder I would work on changing my directors, there is just to many adverse comments to keep trading with your online board status...

In my opinion there is just to much smoke to be no fire on this one.

I did a few checks on line and most of the accusations have plenty of recored support. I don't want to wast to much time on this one but it's not good to be involved in the various activities as a chartered accountant or Director of a company in charge of payroll and tax matters.

As a company Paymatters you are not up with the latest tax updates/amends at all.

I am not a client of Paymatters but my girlfriend was until she had a very hard time getting support when she needed it. Noow she is having to go though an in-depth interrogation, I say interrogation as that what it really is.

I am sure she has a lot to say about Paymatters as soon as she gets through this terrible ordeal that never should of happened in the first place if she had the correct advice and service.

Paymatters helped me when I started contracting. I didn't know that getting paid as a contractor would be so complex!

Initially I wasn't sure contracting would be for me so I chose to be paid through their umbrella company. Here I became an employee of PayMatters and they took care of all my invoicing and tax.

Later on as I started to enjoy contracting I discussed with Paymatters setting up my own limited company. This was much more tax efficient and Paymatters took care of all the accountancy issues like VAT, PAYE and my annual returns and accounts. They also set-up the new limited company for me. I got to choose my own name.

Jo my account manager was brilliant too.

Paymatters Directors in client VAT immoral/ilegal? »201320/05/20130

Harrington Brooks, Paymatters Ltd directors Miles Grady & Nick Holmes insider information.

Harrington Brooks Accountants Ltd (debt management), under the control of Nick Holmes & Miles Grady, was deregulated for VAT over 10 years ago. As a result, the company received an enormous back payment of 17.5 percent of all their clients payments which, to this day, has never been given back to the clients of Harrington Brooks or associated companies. Even worse, despite being deregulated for VAT, Harrington Brookes continued to charge an equivalent VAT fee - giving the appearance that there was never VAT included in the payment. All those companies that dealt with Harrington Brookes, will see on subsequent invoices that VAT was included.

No clients ever found out that Harrington Brooks/All Clear Finance did not have to pay VAT.

If you are a client of Miles Grady or Nick Holmes or any of their associated debt management companies (All Clear Finance) - I would demand a partial refund on all payments between 17.5 & 20 percent (depending on when you joined the programme). Not to mention a reduction of all your future payments!

Nick Holmes and Miles Grady pocketed millions which should have gone back to their clients. Charging people, already in debt, around 20 percent more is just plain wrong! This payment and future savings on their debt repayment programme could really change their lives. It is sheer greed without a care in the world for those who are struggling and losing their homes on a daily basis.

I now know why Harrington Brooks was valued so highly. The VAT deregulation enabled Nick Holmes and Miles Grady to add 20 percent of their clients payments which went straight into the company profits!

If you know anything about company valuations, you simply take the annual profits and factor them by the industry rate (between 4 -8 times profit). This makes an enormous difference to any companions valuation if you add the extra percentage on to profit without any extra costs.

What Nick Holmes and Miles Grady did was shameful and really does show their true character. Harrington Brooks was doing very well without keeping the VAT and certainly did not need or deserve it. The people in debt, paying this extra charge, should have got every penny back - at least morally if not legally. Moreover, they are still paying it to this day! (as far as I know)

The citizens advice bureau now offer the exact same service but they do not charge the extra 20 percent on top of all your monthly payments.

For legal reasons I can't disclose all the details until my legal challenge is concluded.

Ironically, Nick Holmes and Miles David Grady now operate a company called Paymatters Ltd/ umbrella.

This company gives tax advice to the same people - for a fee of course!

Neither Nick Holmes or Miles David Grady are tax lawyers.

Kind Regards

The insider

God help us!

I have just been informed by a very senior tax lawyer that PaymMatters schemes are not conforming with the new none compliance laws.

Apparently HMRC rules are closing these holes and plans every day...

The service I have received or should I say "NOT" received is not as bad as others but I am very nervous after reading these blogs on the directors of Paymatters.

My IR's are in a mess but I am promised this is a one off but it seems that is not true according to many other blogs...

TAX law is a nightmare now.
I am just going back to my regular accountant and sleep again.

Bottom line:
HMRC have had enough of these loop holes. If you read the latest from HMRC it is going to be a very tricky next few months for umbrella Companies and other shelf ... schemes. I must say customs have the bit in their mouth to close down any TAX reduction vehicles. And the thought of a 10 year TAX clawback is pretty dam depressing!

It's just not worth the worry or saving a few pounds.

I should of read the reviews first and not just on the first page on google which are all written by the company (paymatters) themselves!

I came across the http://www.paymatterscom site and the http://www.canyoutrustth for some VAT scam reclaim...

Wish I found it 6 months ago.

I am in a right mess now. Are you having a good service from Crunch?

This summer I have sacked Paymatters and moved to Crunch Accounting.

Why; ........Paymatters failings,

- Late supply of simple payslips for employees, upset my employees and caused me loss of time and effort to correct this.
- VAT submissions incorrect, wrong rates and missing income has meant I have had to do a disclosure to HMRC
- Not preparing and issuing P11Ds for director expenses in line with HMRC rules.
- Mistakes in values of Director Remuneration.

- Having to regularily chase Paymatters to ensure returns done on time.
- Online software is archaic and not end user friendly
- Online software updates but no explainations
- Payrole / payslips off line for months

Mr Scam himself, MILES GRADY.

I to was a Harrington Brooks client for 4 years before I had to come out of my agreement which was a death trap.

You go back to the start regardless of all the money I paid which was over 200 pounds per month. Now I am bankrupt.

I have just filled out the CanYouTrustThem/PayMatterComplaints form to get all my VAT payments back which is thousands. All the time I believed it was a Gov VAT payment but was going towards a fat cat's new home...

I am furious and am speaking to my brother who is a policeman to see if it is a criminal act. Surely it must be illegal to charge on the behalf of the customs and excise a pocket the lot.

Very angry

I was a Harrington Brooks customer 10 years ago when I had some debts to consolidate - and I paid a lot of money in VAT!!

He even looks like a scam artist.

Having read all the posts - I now know that the company directors (Miles Grady and Nicolas Holmes) kept all the VAT themselves when they were de-classified for VAT!...and I want my money back!!

I can't believe they just kept MY money - MY taxes.

Nick Holmes and Miles Grady were the owners of Harrington Brooks - and they now run PayMatters.

Do your homework before you go anywhere near PayMatters - the Directors cant be trusted.

I have filled in my application to recover my money from Harrington Brooks at http://www.canyoutrustth & http://wwwPayMattercompl apparently I should get my money back in a few weeks.

Thank you http://www.CanYouTrustTh

Miles Grady, insolvent??? Lier???? »200704/06/20130
My name is Ian Griffin.
I was in my early twenties when I founded a company called "Griffin Finance Ltd" which I later changed to "Harrington Brooks Accountants Ltd". (Check Companies house register for full up to date details)

I had put everything I had into this business, from coming up with the concept to all my savings and time. As the business proved to be a success I went on and employed my two neighbors and friends, Nick Holmes and Miles Grady to run the sales and bookkeeping for the company.

I thought if I had to trust anyone it was better to trust two friends than two strangers. To cut a very, very long story short, my first problem came when I had to make Mr. Holmes and Mr. Grady equal partners in the company as they had threatened to leave once we were in a position where I could not manage the company without them, as they knew.

Doing this I had given them control of my company with 66.6...% of the voting rites together. I even had to guarantee them both £50,000 per year (which was nearly double their current salaries) and a company car out of my own pocket incase the company failed in the future.

A few years later Nick & Miles approached me and asked me, and I quote "Would you like to cash in your shares as myself (Nick) and Miles just want to keep Harrington Brooks SMALL, we DON’T want to expand any more as you do, we want to keep Harrington as a SMALL family business. I'm sure you can make more money with the cash elsewhere?" Based on everything THEY reported my shares were worth just over £1,200,000. (The actual figures revealed that they were worth 5-7 times that)

I then took advice from a friend and accountant who knew Miles and Nick - he told me "Be careful Ian, it's all a bit sudden after all this time.... make sure they sign an embarrassment clause.

This is a contract to say that if the directors, Nick Holmes or Miles Grady were refinancing or selling the company at the time or within a reasonable length of time, in the future, without my knowledge, I would be able to claim back the difference as it breaches their responsibilities to their shareholders. This act is also corporate fraud and can carry a prison sentence, but the contract makes it much easier and quicker to reclaim the money as opposed to suing and criminal proceedings, which would take years.

Business law is very clear here, the directors must inform the major shareholders of any such activities as they happen or if they know they will in the future (fiduciary duties). The law protects shareholders from dishonest directors (with insider knowledge) buying out shareholders whilst constructing a better deal for themselves without the company owner’s knowledge or even knowing there is a higher value deal on the table in the future. I called Nick Holmes at the time and said to him "Nick, will you just sign this simple document so I know there is nothing going on now or in the near future that I don't know about? " Nick Holmes would not sign it, in fact he made me feel so guilty for asking and not trusting them I withdrew the contract. He even swore on his child's life. I felt ashamed of myself for asking. Later that week I accepted their offer.

The next thing I knew Harrington Brooks was all over the Manchester newspapers. Part of Harrington Brooks had been sold for around £15,000,000 according to the press releases. You don't have to be the Chancellor to work out what happened.

An honest person might say Miles and Nick constructed this deal before they approached me to sell my shares. Never mind the supposed entire reason for the buyout was for Nick and Miles to keep the company SMALL and NOT to expand or sell as I was the one who was always pressuring them to bring in venture capital investment in to grow the business..." which is exactly what they did when they got my shares!

"On his child's life..." was the nail in the coffin for me. It was all about TRUST; looking back I was such a stupid fool. I don't remember a single shareholders meeting I was invited to, despite all the huge changes made within my own company. Directors changed (Nick's own brother) subsidiary companies set up, websites and domains moved, bought and changed. The list was endless and all of this I found out after the sale of my own company. How is this legal? It's NOT!

They didn’t even want t me to come in to my own office after a while. Saying it undermined them and looked as if they worked for me due to I was relatively well know for other companies in the Cheshire area…

This Company was my life, the feeling of betrayal, loss, loss of trust and self-esteem lead to me having dis-facilitating depression and eventually a nervous breakdown.

I was unable to face the stress of a legal challenge at the time. Neither Nick nor Miles would take my calls after I found out about the sale. My family contacted Mr. Holmes to ask "How could you do such a thing when Ian had trusted you so much and gave you the chance in the first place? " Nick Holmes replied, "Get off the phone you silly old cow and don't get involved, tell Ian to fight his own battles" NICE!

A few years later I regained my health and wrote www.CanYouTrustThem.com solely to Name & Shame Nick Holmes & Miles Grady. To my surprise the site immediately attracted 1000's of people every day using it for their own personal experiences too. I didn't write this site to make a living or profit, it is totally free to use.

I have never sold any data or made any profits from it in any way from this company. The only revenue generated is from a Google advertising banner to finance the up-keep of the website. CanYouTrustThem.com is now currently dealing with 10's of millions in disputes and getting amazing settlements every day!

Within a few days of posting my story last week on the 21/4/2013 Nick Holmes and Miles Grady emailed me, threatening me with legal action bragging that they now have a company Called PayMatters Ltd, Barons court, Wilmslow, Cheshire, UK which is worth £45,000,000 per year and they are now losing business because of my complaint.
It just goes to show in the age of the Internet, no matter how big they are or how many lawyers they have, a single person, armed with the truth and a laptop can now stand their ground against what was a lost cause.

This brought another mystery to light, I Goggled Paymatters Ltd - it advertises that tax experts founded it. Miles Grady worked at the ICS Insurance then debt management for as long as I have known him and was certainly NOT a secret Tax Lawyer. Nick Holmes previously worked as a salesman for a mobile phone company prior to the debt management. So, not sure where all their Tax expertise came from???

Insider information:
Harrington Brooks Accountants Ltd (debt management), under the control of Nick Holmes & Miles Grady, was deregulated for VAT over 10 years ago. As a result, the company received an enormous back payment of 17.5 percent of all their clients’ payments, which, to this day, has never been given back to the clients of Harrington Brooks or associated companies. Even worse, despite being ‘deregulated for VAT, Harrington Brookes continued to charge an equivalent VAT fee - giving the appearance that there was never VAT included in the payment. All those companies that dealt with Harrington Brooks will see on subsequent invoices that VAT was included.

No clients ever found out that Harrington Brooks/All Clear Finance did not have to pay VAT.

If you were a client of Miles Grady or Nick Holmes or any of their associated debt management companies (All Clear Finance) - I would demand a partial refund on all payments – somewhere between 17.5 & 20 percent (depending on when you joined the program me). Not to mention a reduction of all your future payments!

Nick Holmes and Miles Grady pocketed millions, which should have gone back to their clients. Charging people, already in debt, around 20 percent more is just shocking and wrong! This payment and future savings on their debt repayment program could really change their lives. It is sheer greed without a care in the world for those who are struggling and losing their homes on a daily basis.

I now know why Harrington Brooks was valued so highly. The VAT deregulation enabled Nick Holmes and Miles Grady to add 20 percent to their client’s payments – which went straight into the company profits!

If you know anything about company valuations, you simply take the companies annual profits and factor (times) them by the industry rate (which varies between 4 – 8 times profit). This makes an enormous difference to any company’s valuation if you add an extra 20 percent without any extra costs…

What Nick Holmes and Miles Grady did really does show their true character. Harrington Brooks was doing very well without keeping the VAT and certainly did not need or deserve it. The people in debt, paying this extra charge, should have got every penny back - at least morally if not legally. Moreover, they are still paying it to this day!

The citizen’s advice bureau now offers the exact same service and they do not charge the extra 20 percent on top of all your monthly payments.

For legal reasons I can't disclose all the details until my legal challenge is concluded.

Ironically, Nick Holmes and Miles David Grady now operate a company called Paymatters Ltd/ umbrella. This company gives tax advice to the same people - for a substantial fee of course! Neither of these two characters are tax lawyers.

Miles & Nick:

I am a very fair person, as you know. If either of you read this which I am sure you will as I have just e-mailed you the link. Take a polygraph if you have nothing to hide. Answer these three questions under polygraph. If you are telling the truth I will drop and remove my complaint. (Good luck with that one!)

"Did you purchase my shares while knowing there was a more lucrative deal on the table for the company in the future?"

"Did you make any major changes to the company without informing me or holding a shareholders meeting?"

"Did you manipulate the companies profits report to greatly reduce the value of my shares?" (By around 500 percent :()

Registered UK Polygraphs examinations are over 98 percent accurate.
Take the test and clear your names. I will accept results either way. Don't take the test and see your name in lights for the rest of your lives or until you settle my claim. I will never go away!!!

There is one thing more powerful than any company or lawyer, public opinion! I await you response, which I will be posting here. I have 100 more sites just like this one ready to go live. I just want you to tell the truth and let justice be done. You should be totally ashamed of yourselves! Well, you know what they say about the truth coming out? It's out and it's staying out!!!

I am pretty sure you don’t want the clients of Paymatters (Your £45,000,000 company) knowing all about you’re alleged past and VAT theft!

UPDATE 16/05/2013: It has now been 4 week's since I challenged Nick Holmes and Miles Grady to clear their name by taking a simple Polygraph test. Neither of them is not prepared to take the test. I do have a nasty letter threatening me and my personal life, which is not really what I was asking for, but it does show a very clear picture of Nick Holmes and Miles Grady’s character.

Ask yourself this question;

If Miles Grady and Nicholas Holmes could do this to a friend and business partner of over twenty years, who did absolutely nothing but help them get everything they have today. What could they do to a stranger for money/profit?

I am just about to make live
www.paymatterscomplaints.co.uk
www.milesgradycomplaints.co.uk
www.nicholasholmescomplaints.co.uk in the public interest.

Never lose sight of the FACTs:

1. Nicholas Holmes and Miles David Grady got an enormous VAT deregulation, receiving all their clients VAT payments back. They Kept them for them self.

2. Nicholas Holmes and Miles David Grady then started charging the same amount in fee’s to hide the VAT deregulation payment for good. They never informed their clients of the savings to their debt payments/cost.

3. Nicholas Holmes and Miles Grady bought Ian Griffin’s own company of him for 1,200,000 (after 8 years) then sold part of it within months for £15,000,000.

4. Paymatters, Nicholas Holmes and Miles Grady now operate a TAX advice company, Nether of them are TAX lawyers. Or to my knowledge have any TAX experience!

Also, I find it shameful that you both take credit on your various social and business site blogs that you founded my company. If you did, why was it first called Griffin Finance well before you got involved as directors??? I found this on the their company accounts:

Miles Grady & Nicholas Holmes advertise on their CV:
Harrington Brooks (Accountants) Limited was registered on 03 Jul 1998 with its registered office in Cheshire. The business has a status listed as "Live “and it currently has 2 directors. Mr. Miles David Grady, Mr. Nicholas Holmes, founded it. The business currently employs 200-249 people. Harrington Brooks (Accountants) Limited has 3 subsidiaries.

A hate to think what’s next for Paymatters investors and clients?

Despicable:

Ask yourself this question;

If Miles Grady and Nicholas Holmes could do this to a friend and business partner of over twenty years, who did absolutely nothing but help them get everything they have today. What could they do to a stranger for money/profit?

I am just about to make live

Paymatters directors, VAT immoral/ilegal? »2007-201313/06/20130

A few years later Nick & Miles approached me and asked me, and I quote "Would you like to cash in your shares as myself (Nick) and Miles just want to keep Harrington Brooks SMALL, we DON'T want to expand any more as you do, we want to keep Harrington as a SMALL family business.

The law protects shareholders from dishonest directors (with insider knowledge) buying out shareholders whilst constructing a better deal for themselves without the company owner's knowledge or even knowing there is a higher value deal on the table in the future.

It's NOT!

They didn't even want t me to come in to my own office after a while. Saying it undermined them and looked as if they worked for me due to I was relatively well know for other companies in the Cheshire area...

As a result, the company received an enormous back payment of 17.5 percent of all their clients' payments, which, to this day, has never been given back to the clients of Harrington Brooks or associated companies. Even worse, despite being 'deregulated for VAT, Harrington Brookes continued to charge an equivalent VAT fee - giving the appearance that there was never VAT included in the payment. All those companies that dealt with Harrington Brooks will see on subsequent invoices that VAT was included.

No clients ever found out that Harrington Brooks/All Clear Finance did not have to pay VAT.

If you were a client of Miles Grady or Nick Holmes or any of their associated debt management companies (All Clear Finance) - I would demand a partial refund on all payments ' somewhere between 17.5 & 20 percent (depending on when you joined the program me).

The VAT deregulation enabled Nick Holmes and Miles Grady to add 20 percent to their client's payments ' which went straight into the company profits!

If you know anything about company valuations, you simply take the companies annual profits and factor (times) them by the industry rate (which varies between 4 ' 8 times profit). This makes an enormous difference to any company's valuation if you add an extra 20 percent without any extra costs...

The citizen's advice bureau now offers the exact same service and they do not charge the extra 20 percent on top of all your monthly payments.

Miles & Nick: I am a very fair person, as you know.

Ask yourself this question;

If Miles Grady and Nicholas Holmes could do this to a friend and business partner of over twenty years, who did absolutely nothing but help them get everything they have today.

What could they do to a stranger for money?

I am just about to make live
www.paymatterscomplaints.co.uk

Never lose sight of the FACTs:

1. Nicholas Holmes and Miles David Grady got an enormous VAT deregulation backpayment, receiving all their clients VAT payments back.

Or to my knowledge have any TAX experience as long as I have known them in over 20 years!

Also, I find it shameful that you both take credit on your various social and business site blogs that you founded my company. If you did, why was it first called Griffin Finance well before you got involved as directors??? I found this on the their company accounts:

Miles Grady & Nicholas Holmes advertise on their CV:

My name is Ian Griffin.

If you are going to trust or do any business with Miles Grady you must know his history, here it is.

I was in my early twenties when I founded a company called "Griffin Finance Ltd" which I later changed to "Harrington Brooks Accountants Ltd". (Check Companies house register for full up to date details and previous names)

I have allowed Nicholas Holmes & Miles Grady to take credit for my business skills for years without saying a word. I right now see all over the place both Nick Holmes & Miles Grady state they founded my company, twitter, Facebook and even their new business PayMatters. You can clearly see on company’s house that was NOT the case.

As you can see Miles Grady was a director of my debt companies for pretty much his entire working life, so how can he possibly have 20 years expert TAX training/experience to give others extremely intricate TAX advice???
He was in direct sale/Tele sales Not TAX advisory. You have to be a specific TAX trained lawyer to stay ahead of the very intricate legislation or you can be convicted of the new “TAX none compliance” laws.

They must of forgot companies house displays these details to the general public. Anyway, letting someone take credit for your work is one thing, defrauding you for millions is a whole different world. No one would let that slide.

Ask yourself this question;

If Miles Grady and Nicholas Holmes could do this to a friend and business partner of over twenty years, who did absolutely nothing but help them get everything they have today.

What could they do to a stranger for money?

I am just about to make live

Never lose sight of the FACTs:

1. Nicholas Holmes and Miles David Grady got an enormous VAT deregulation back payment, receiving all their clients VAT payments back.

Miles Grady Paymasters FRAUD??? »2005 - 201315/07/20130
My name is Ian Griffin.

I was in my early twenties when I founded a company called "Griffin Finance Ltd" which I later changed to "Harrington Brooks Accountants Ltd". (Check Companies house register for full up to date details and previous names)

" Nick Holmes replied, "Get off the phone you silly old cow and don't get involved, tell Ian to fight his own battles" NICE!

I have allowed Nicholas Holmes & Miles Grady to take credit for my business skills for years without saying a word. I right now see all over the place both Nick Holmes & Miles Grady state they founded my company, twitter, Facebook and even their new business PayMatters. You can clearly see on companys house that was NOT the case.

As you can see Miles Grady was a director of my debt companies for pretty much his entire working life, so how can he possibly have 20 years expert TAX training/experience to give others extremely intricate TAX advice???
He was in direct sale/Tele sales Not TAX advisory or related services. You have to be a specific TAX trained lawyer to stay ahead of the very intricate legislation or you can be convicted of the new TAX none compliance laws.

They must of forgot companies house displays these details to the general public. Anyway, letting someone take credit for your work is one thing, defrauding you for millions is a very different world.

Within a few days of posting my story last week on the 21/4/2013 Nick Holmes and Miles Grady emailed me, threatening me with legal action bragging that they now have a company Called PayMatters Ltd, Barons court, Wilmslow, Cheshire, UK which is worth £45,000,000 per year and they are now losing business because of my complaint. â¨It just goes to show in the age of the Internet, no matter how big they are or how many lawyers they have, a single person, armed with the truth and a laptop can now stand their ground against what was a lost cause. â¨â¨

As a result, the company received an enormous back payment of 17.5 percent of all their clients payments, which, to this day, has never been given back to the clients of Harrington Brooks or associated companies. Even worse, despite being deregulated for VAT, Harrington Brookes continued to charge an equivalent VAT fee - giving the appearance that there was never VAT included in the payment. All those companies that dealt with Harrington Brooks will see on subsequent invoices that VAT was included.

No clients ever found out that Harrington Brooks/All Clear Finance did not have to pay VAT.

If you were a client of Miles Grady or Nick Holmes or any of their associated debt management companies (All Clear Finance) - I would demand a partial refund on all payments somewhere between 17.5 & 20 percent (depending on when you joined the program me).

The VAT deregulation enabled Nick Holmes and Miles Grady to add 20 percent to their clients payments which went straight into the company profits!

If you know anything about company valuations, you simply take the companies annual profits and factor (times) them by the industry rate (which varies between 4 8 times profit). This makes an enormous difference to any companys valuation if you add an extra 20 percent without any extra costs

The citizens advice bureau now offers the exact same service and they do not charge the extra 20 percent on top of all your monthly payments.

For legal reasons I can't disclose all the details until my legal challenge is concluded.

As I mentioned earlier, Nick Holmes and Miles David Grady now operate a company called Paymatters. This company gives tax advice, neither of these two characters are tax lawyers or have TAX any experience I know of.

To Miles & Nick: I am a very fair person, as you know.

I am pretty sure you donât want the clients of Paymatters (Your £45,000,000 company) knowing all about youâre alleged past and VAT theft! â¨

UPDATE 16/05/2013: It has now been 4 week's since I challenged Nick Holmes and Miles Grady to clear their name by taking a simple Polygraph test. Neither of them is not prepared to take the test. I do have a nasty letter threatening me and my personal life, which is not really what I was asking for, but it does show a very clear picture of Nick Holmes and Miles Gradys character.

Ask yourself this question;

If Miles Grady and Nicholas Holmes could do this to a friend and business partner of over twenty years, who did absolutely nothing but help them get everything they have today.

What could they do to a stranger for money?

I am just about to make live
www.paymatterscomplaints.co.uk
www.milesgradycomplaints.co.uk
www.nicholasholmescomplaints.co.uk in the public interest.

Never lose sight of the FACTs:

1. Nicholas Holmes and Miles David Grady got an enormous VAT deregulation back payment, receiving all their clients VAT payments back. They Kept them for them self.

2. Nicholas Holmes and Miles David Grady then started charging the same amount in fees to hide the VAT deregulation payment for good. They never informed their clients of the savings to their debt payments/cost.

3. Nicholas Holmes and Miles Grady bought Ian Griffinâs own company of him for 1,200,000 (after 8 years) then sold part of it within months for £15,000,000.

4. Paymatters, Nicholas Holmes and Miles Grady now operate a TAX advice company, Nether of them are TAX lawyers. Or to my knowledge have any TAX experience as long as I have known them in over 20 years!

Also, I find it shameful that you both take credit on your various social and business sites (including your latest & your first business venture, Paymatters) that you founded my company. If you did, why was it first called Griffin Finance well before you got involved as??? I find it even more dishonest that you claim to have 20 years Tax expertise when you worked for me for practically your entire business life in debt management / direct sales.

Their entire reason for the purchace!

They have never taken my calls since.
