No acknowledgment of purchase. No response to emails. Paypal obviously seriously negligent or complicit in this scam.

Numerous other consumer forums claim this site is fraudulent.

E.g. follow all 'search' EJAFFA.COM threads on DPREVIEW.COM/FORUMS

Keep well away from this seriously dodgy (provably illegal) outfit.

PS  6 MAR   HOPEFULLY GOOD NEWS for all you poor bargain hunters ripped off by EJAFFA.CON.   Website is still listed by Google but is non-contactable. Scammers have either done a runner or been closed down.    Make sure your claim is registered with Paypal (not easy to find but RESOLUTION CENTRE is what you're looking for).  If they receive no response from EJAFFA after ten days your claim is automatically validated.  GO FOR IT and GOOD LUCK!

Grey Imports & broken delivery promises »11 Aug 201013/08/20101
Despite immediate debit of my account on the Monday, the Nikon D5000 was not booked in with City-Link until pm Thursday. It was thus collected Friday for next (working) day delivery on the Monday - Some 7 days later! We paid £7.99 for next-day delivery just to wait over a week before we could take receipt after our vacation.

When opened the received unit, the first thing we noticed was that the manual was a stapled laser-copy, not an official printed version. There was also no official Nikon Warranty card (like the yellow UK ones) and no fold-out quick start guide.

An attempt to register the D5000 at Nikon UK revealed it to be a GREY IMPORT -
This means Nikon UK/EU will NOT repair it at any of their centres; it has to be returned to camerabox.

Buyers beware! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT OEM SUPPORT - GREY IMPORTS WILL NOT BE REPAIRED OR ANY WARRANTY HONOURED BY NIKON! This is clearly stated on the Nikon website.

You can buy a cerified UK model with 2 yr Nikon Warranty for about £20 more through AMAZON or one of the Certified resellers as listed on the Nikon UK Website - I wish we had done so.

This company should be investigated by BBC Watchdog for their poor practices. If their cameras are Grey Imports it should be clearly stated: As it stands it's a virtual SCAM!

Mac mini never recevied and funds never replaced. Told order was cancelled and that they have no record any more »16th april26/04/20121
Ordered a mac mini from simply electronics 16th April for £449.99. Funds were taken the following day 17th. Never had a receipt or email from them. Having tried to phone several times I finally got trough and told the item will be recieved on the 26th. They gave me an order number 508229-76412.
Still no emails and so back to waiting an hour on the phone. Cut off several times and now begin to worry as I have researched this company and they sound like a big con.
Finally got through today and they told me that they never took any money from me and cancelled the order. Again phone goes dead. Cant get through anymore after several phone calls and emails.
Trading Standards are saying they cant do anything as simply electronics use a loophole in the system to sell in the Uk . It would cost more than the product is worth to file a claim.
Have emailed watch dog to see if they can help but no reply.
I feel very sorry for all the people they have ripped off and would love to see something done in the future to stop these kind of companies trading.
Can you help?
Kind Regards
M Adams

I believe Paypal are negligent in not shutting down this seller's account when there were several unresolved disputes. Club together to take class action against Paypal. »26/02/200917/03/20090

I bought a camera on the 26th February that did not arrive. I escalated the claim with Paypal but they will not refund me. eJaffa have no funds in their Paypal account.

I believe Paypal should have shut down the seller's account when they first found out that this seller was fraudulent. They are supposed to do this when they receive multiple disputes (two or more) against the same seller.

I think that there were several disputes before my payment. Paypal refuse to reveal the history of disputes with eJaffa. I think that Paypal have been negligent in keeping their account open.

Please contact me ([paul@tonertopup.co.uk] (link: mailto:paul@tonertopup.co.uk)) with the dates and history if you raised a dispute for items that you did not receive. Together we may be able to take class action against Paypal.

Ejaffa did not supply goods »18th February25/03/20090

Ejaffa accepted my order for a Digital camera priced at £121.99 on the 18th
February, mailed me on the 19th to say there had been a stock mix up and camera
couldn't be delivered until the 28th Feb. You can guess the rest...

On March 2nd I contacted Ejaffa via email to check on the status of my order, I
received no response. On March 3rd I received a response of no substance.

I quickly did a search on the web and found various threads questioning the
legitimacy of Ejaffa so I reported a dispute with Paypal....you can guess the
rest there too.

To date, no goods, no refund, Paypal uninterested

Non Receipt of Goods »18 February 200928/03/20090

I purchased a camera over the internet using PAYPAL for security purposes but never received the goods when promised.  I have contacted the company who said they had problems with stock levels and when I cancelled the order because I wanted to purchase the item for a forthcoming holiday they then told me they had a problem with PAYPAL who were still holding onto my funds.  PAYPAL as I understand should insure against this sort of thing but they have closed my dispute with them and have not refunded my money.  Beware of paying through them as you have no assurances.  It is the first and last time I will purchase like this.

i have emailed ejaffa and done a claim from paypal but with no joy, no response from ejaffa and paypal states that im intitled to my money back but ejaffa have no funds in they account. WHY DID PAYPAL NOT DO SOMETHING SOONER!!! so many of us have lost money that in the resession is not an easy thing to happen.

id like to say a huge THANK YOU to PAYPAL for nothing and not shutting this site down sooner.

DO NOT GO NEAR EJAFFA if you want to give your money away give it to charity

Useable for 1 year only? »September 201109/11/20110
I was bought a Canon 450D camera and lens kit on 24/06/10 from Jessops, York for nearly £600. Bought to give me years of good reliable photography as I have already owned 8 very reliable Canon cameras. The camera worked faultlessly for about 1 year then the auto-focus would not lock-on on the odd occassion. A camera reset or clean would make it work again, for a while. My disability meant the camera was used sparingly and also prevented me from taking the camera back to Jessops (Gloucester) for checking. Eventually I was able to take the camera in, which was sent away for an estimate (£25). It took 5 weeks for the estimate to arrive and the £185 was more than a shock! Eventually I was ofered a £20 reduction so I contacted Canoin UK via their website. Not one ounce of help or remorse from them. Why should I pay 33% of the purchase price after 1 year's careful use? The estimate is 2 week's benefits to me!
To add to this. Last week our compact Samsung (£70) camera totally failed after just over 1 year's service, always carried around in a pocket/handbag. A telephone call to Samsung resulted in a prepaid package sent to me (arrived the next day) for it to be sent to them for an FOC repair!! Well Done Samsung, shame on you Canon!!

Failing to honor "Full Warranty Guaranteed for 1 Year" »10 January 200928/03/20090

Beware of buying on-line from [www.bestpricedbrands.co.uk] (link: http://www.bestpricedbrands.co.uk/) - their prices may seem good but despite their prominent headline declaring "Full warranty Guaranteed for 1 year" etc. this company operates a Limited Warranty which is virtually worthless and they have no UK address or telephone number which perhaps should have triggered alarm bells.   In addition customs duty can be added to your purchase and must be paid before handover and inspection.

I purchased a Canon G9 digital camera from Best Priced Brands on 7 August 2008 for £263.00 paid by my Saga Visa Card.   In January 2009 the charger unit stopped lighting up when the battery was inserted for charging.

I e-mailed this information to BPB and they insisted that I returned the whole package although I made it very clear that I knew my camera was working well with a spare battery previously charged.  As directed I returned the whole package securely in its original box and packing.

4 weeks later a parcel arrived back with loose items rattling about inside.  I had to pay £6.90 customs duty before the UPS driver would hand over the parcel.

On opening the parcel I found a camera etc. in a tattered box with no safety packing at all.   Some of the original items were missing, paintwork on the "camera" was chipped and a charger with strange flat terminals and NO UK cable/connectors had been included although my original camera had been returned to BPB  complete with fittings for UK use.

Further examination showed that the returned camera number did not correspond with the number on my own camera and it had been used to take double the number of pictures that my own camera had taken.   There was NO paperwork to inform me that anything other than my own camera had been returned.

I have subsequently determined that a "refurbished" G9 was returned to me with the excuse that my own camera was "unable to be repaired" which is just not the case, as stated above.   The fault lay with the charger unit only.

Despite my many e-mails BPB refuse to honour their warranty headline and I now find from the internet that many people have been duped by BPB prices and find that their warranty is quite different to the Canon UK official warranty.

After this experience I wanted to return the "refurbished" camera package and obtain a refund but BPB have declined to do this as my camera was purchased last August - 5 months previously?   It seems a new G9 is now unavailable and they offered either a refurbished G10 or a new G10 if I cared to make a further payment although no costs were forthcoming.   While trying to find out more details of their offer it now seems that the refurbished G10 has been given to another customer and of course I wonder who has been the lucky recipient of my perfectly working G9 camera.

I now have a refurbished camera instead of my own camera and no means of charging the battery which incidentally is not a Canon battery as returned to BPB.

I am writing in the hope that you can try to recover the money I paid for the camera along with the customs charge - £263.00 plus £6.90 - and I also want to warn others about using this doubtful website.

Yours sincerely

Mr W.S.S.Anderson

crstnblm: I, too, am one of the poor guys who has been fooled by the Indians in the Swami Shop at the C C Puerta Colon, Adeje, Tenerife. I wanted to buy a camera a little better than my Canon Ixus and ended up paying €798 for a Fujifilm d2800HD which to the seller's mind was a VERY good price because the price was listed to €1300. That was a lie of dimensions. That cam could be bought for a lousy €250 at most dealers. The very next day I went to the shop to make complaints of the price being charged. I had the camera replaced by a Canon 1000D and upgrading the mem-card, new bag for the cam, but I am still feeling fooled by the man. We almost spent 2 times 2 hours in the shop, and still he would not cancel the deal and return my money. I am quite sure that the Canon cam was used as well. Confronted with my price discovery he became very sad and wuld have to talk to his dealer because he was also paying too much he said. BEWARE: They are good actors, how do they ever learn to do it?
