| I was looking for extra income for my family and my fiance decided he would try his hand at escorting. We found diamond companions and decided to register as they didnt charge for doing so.
Erica rang my fiance back the next day and took details from him. She then sent him a email requesting photographs.
We sent the photos over and Erica said she would email them to her regular clients and ring the next day with the response.
Indeed she did ring the next day ad sais she had a big response from clients that would be intersted. In particular she had a client called Natasha who was divorced and in my area from Devon.
She went into detail about what Natasha liked and said that she had arranged a meeting with Natasha for the following evening.
The only thing i would have to do is pay £350 for joining through western union to the duty manager Deborah Patterson in Spain. Stupidly i did this and rang Erica back with the ref number. The money was collected in spain immediately.
The next day Erica rang again to confirm my fiance was to meet Natasha and we didnt hear anything else. My fiance turned up for the date and waited 45mins for her to arrive. After 45mins he rang Diamond Companions and they said Natasha had been involved in a car crash and could no meet him but she was interested in future dates.
I have emailed Diamond Cmpanions at infor@diamondcomapnions.org everyday and they refuse to refund due to their terms and conditions

| The National Trade Register, they promise so much but deliver so little, alexandria designs joined in sep 2008 as what they promised sounded good to get rid of cowboy builders. they promise to vet all tradesmen who join up through referenses giving by satisfied customers which they never contacted, to pass work on through insurance companys and people who trust there tradesmen, over two years i recieved no work not even a phone call, just some certificate saying we were repitable tradesmen and had passed all requirments.They promise if no work comes your way after a year to refund all your money, but when you try to claim they tell you there was only fourteen days to do so.The reason i tryed to claim is that when i signed up they had signed me into a standing order and not a direct debit, i only new of this when a second payment had been taking out of my bank account through a invoice off them stating paid in full. all together i have paid this company £693.26. All tradesmen out there be carefull of the national trade register. they are bigger cowboys than the ones they say they are trying to get rid of. alexandria designs

I paid 240 pound after a agency called FORD ESCORTS rang me saying they had a chamarone job for me ....
2 sisters from america,,
a day before i was ment to et them they rang and cancelled and have not heard from them since .
I did leave a message and the so called mananger returned my call ..
but since then i have never had work or any phone calls at all,they said there was loads of work out there .
I also went out and spent200 pounds ona new outfit.
I am a single mum and cannot afford to waste 29,quid.
Can any one help me

i was going to start a debt plan with these people,the lad called andy.
he gave me a few details over the phone ,,worked out a plan etc,,tried pressuring me to get forms filled in when prined online,,and send with a courier they were sending,,
he insisted on my card details which i gave,,then said first payment would be for 140 at end of july,,
i thought about it for a while and found i couldnt afford to start the plan in july,
he rang day after day about the forms,i told him i couldnt afford it in july not to take any money from my account and id let them know as and when i could do it,, i cancelled the direct debit they set up,i mailed loads of times for him not to take money,,and when july came he took £140 which left me overdrawn and i got charge from bank,i have since tried emailing which gets ignored,,they rang a few times and i told them situation ,,i got fobbed off and then last week a girl said she would get refund and cancel,,i still havent had refund,,and bearing in mind i didnt give them the creditors details so they dont have a clue who they are meant to be paying anyway,,,so what have they done with the money they took from my account without my permission ??

I joined LA Fitness in MAy 2009 and used the gym regularly until October 2009. I didn't want to continue using it so I phoned to cancel and found out, of course, I was tied in by a contract until MAy 2010.
After the 12 month contract was over, I forgot to cancel it. I saw it was still on my direct debit and thought it would be safe to cancel it, given that I hadn't used the service for 10 months.
I phoned and tried to get a cancellation confirmation but the woman on the call wasn't able to give me a confirmation so I gave up.
I was on holiday for several weeks adn when I came back I had a letter telling me I owed LA Fitness 80 pounds for their services. I tried again to get through to their member services and couldn't.
Today I had a letter from ARC Credit Management with a demand for 143 pounds and when I phoned up a rather pushy money collector telling me to "pay up".
I'm sure you've heard this story 100 times before and I know I should have read the contract but I had to write because I feel that LA Fitness are pursing an unethical approach regarding their clients who wish to end a contract. It is difficult to do and rolling contracts for gyms just shouldn't be allowed - legally I imagine they are covered but that doesn't change the fact that they acted in a thuggish manner to collect hundreds of pounds that they didn't actually earn.

| On 17th August 2010, GSE pposted an advert with the INternet Job site "My West Yorkshire Jobs". AS I had just been made redundant and have just been divorced I decided to register as it was too good an opportunity to miss with the promise of work at a rate of anything from 2 - 6 clients a week, taking them to restaurants, shopping etc. I was asked to pay out £250 for Escort and £250 for film work. What they actually took was a total of £581, ckaiming it was the exchange rate as they operate through an offshore company called Mulitcorps. I was given some Agent numbers and an agent by the name of Michelle Paice and login details to their website with the promise of work almost immediately.
After a week I had heard nothing so rang them and they came up with the excuse that my details were being circulated and it would take some time. So I gave it another week and rang again. This time to be told that they were still waiting for work to come in.
On the 1st of September I got a phone call from a so called manager named Claire who told me that they had to turn down much work from the European sector as I was not registered on this side of the business and need to pay and extra £1200 to do so. Luckily for me she was a manger as she could offer me the work for £320 only. she stated this was to cover Insurance and that they were just waiting to confirm with some Italian ladies after I had paid. Like a fool I did (you have to bear in mind no work and just divorced so strapped for cash). The money I could earn was potentially £2500 oer week through this side of the business.
Anyway after having paid and sent my second fax I suddenly got a phone call from a person called Bobbie, who had immediate film work from a European company filming a 6 box set of adult films in the Northern Area and they had specifically asked for me and had to turn them down. Each film was worth £5000 to me!!! All I had to do was pay a further £250. This time I declined and got a grumble from the other end of the phone.
I have rung the Agency again on the 8th September to be told that the guaranteed escort work from the week commencing the 11th September is now on hold due to the Italian ladies changing their arrival date and to be told that we wouldn't be having this conversation had I accepted the offer of film work as it was commencing ont he 8th September!!!!
I have been told that they will let me know when work is available, which I suspect will be never.
Yes I have paid good money out and money I cannot afford, but as they say if it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't!!!

I went online and was reading about Acai berry this product was endorsded by many news stations so I decided to try this product using the web link from the news station. I recieved the product on a free trial period. in the terms and conditons I had ten days to cancell my order from time of order which was 8/17/2010. I decided on 8/26/2010 to cancell my free trial period, because my account was charged $87.47 on this day and I did not feel it was worth this much. I called and talked to the customer service department and they stated that they could refund this, because it was in the ten day period but it would take ten to fifteen days for this refund on 8/26/2010 they billed my another $1.75 for a service fee/cancelation fee this fee they deny was ever charged to my account but i have my current bank statement and it states this charge is from diet max. so I waited until 9/8/2010 for my refund. I decided on this day to call and see were my refund was to my suprise the lady says i did not cancell my order in time because i never sent them an e-mail. I have never recieved an e-mail from this fly by night company and feel this is very unfair hopefully i can save others some money and a headache from web scams like these

| I am absolutely livid with this poor excuse of a company.
I was looking for a payday loan as I had bills coming out on monday so I needed to sort out getting some money so I would not go into my overdraft. I was on a site which then transfered me to this company. I was like fine that's okay. Then i entered my details, then on the 7th of september my card has been blocked by my bank, I call them and they say I have been pulled up for fraud.
They list all my details of past spends and then "cornwall" comes up and I'm like excuse me what I have never heard of this company. The description is a subscription, this has now ended in me going in to further debt x2 as i did not get a loan and also extra money has been taken. I am Furious I have emailed and contacted the third party telephone number and all that they have done have said they will get them to give me a call back. I will give them till 10:30am tomorrow then make a formal complaint with my solicitor | |||||||||

Claim 4 Gain offered to claim back my bank charges.I said if they sent me the info pack i would look at it first before i made a descision to take out the product.They said i had to give my card dretails as verifaction.I specifally asked that i would not get charged and they said no not until i recevied the product.I never received any pack and the money was taken from my credit card of £49.99 in 2 payments.(£99.98)
I rang there so called customer services 01253749233.I was told that i would receive a refund in 6weeks .That was in March.I have phoned many times and they are rude ,aggresive and lie to me saying the money has been paid back and that i shouldn't have given my card details over the phone.
I have written letters(recorded)On T.S's Advice,with no reply.I haven't got any money back and iam left with a bill now that i feel stupid about and that i can't afford to have.
They are obviously a scam company and i need to get my money back.

| I wish I had seen this website before I was ripped off.
After losing my job in July I was in touch with Moonlight Encounters, who assured me I could easily get several bookings a week.
I was told I didn't have to pay any fee until I had a booking, which coincidentally I received the day after I had a conversation with someone there called Nicola.
Stupidly I transferred £400, hoping that I would get it back that night from a booking that was made, and also hoping to make much more money from further bookings.
But the "client" cancelled, so I'm now £400 out of pocket.
I call the agency constantly to pester them for bookings, supposedly they have put me on a priority list.
I have had no bookings in the space of 5 weeks and it seems very doubtful I will ever get one.
These people need to be stopped. How they can sleep at night knowing they have ripped people off is beyond me.
I'm going to contact trading standards, but other than that I really don't know what to do.

( 4/8/10 and 31/8/10)- fourty nine pounds ninety five pence each time. Then on 1st of November, further twenty nine pounds seventy nine pence was taken out by LOAN FINDER. I gave no authorisation for those amounts to be taken out.

I was still losing the same amount of weight and when I had finished the course, I continued to lose it at the same rate. These capsules are an absolute waste of money, they do not work at all. When I called back on July 20th to see the status of my refund I was told that I had not canceled! On August 12th I was billed for another $87.47 so I called back and was told by a "Supervisor" that he guaranteed I would get all of my money back because I was wrongfully charged TWICE! Now when I just called I was told that I will only be receiving a refund from 1 charge of $87.47 because I had not canceled within my trial period! Which is weird since they charged me while I was in the trial period!! I still have no product and nothing is solved!!

This company is dishonest and it offers to buy people out ofcontracts when it may not be able to. So far, the only network they can connect people to is Orange, it is only via Merlin Direct Ltd conning its employees that it now may be able to connect to the rest of the networks. The main boss Errol Graham promised Merlin Direct Ltds employees wages owed and now has not delivered and has said it is not him after all who we need to speak to. Despite me having witnesses to his promises, he still denies saying most of what he did.

To my utter misfortune, I became acquainted and started to use the services offered by 1stBooks publishers now known as Authorhouse, and published my first two books in 2003. At the time, I detected no problem with their services and accepted that being my work was academic, would not sell many copies. I decided to publish my third book with them, a large 2 volume edition in 2008, and due to the reviews and publicity received, and the professors that contacted me personally, I became fully aware of the university libraries and public libraries who processed my work into their establishments, or were interested in my work.
However, I noticed the first major discrepancy in their promises was that if I turned my manuscript in within a certain time frame, I would receive fourteen free copies of my work when it was printed.
I e-mailed my text, and mailed my contract via snail-mail two weeks before the deadline, I know it arrived on time—I live in Europe, and mail does not take longer than 4 to 8 days to arrive in the US, however, they could not honour the free copy agreement as they hadn't received the contracts on time. They never mentioned the agreement included receiving the contracts, just the manuscript. I received just my usual free review copy of each volume. I decided to let the matter go.
Then, they have a very careless attitude with other aspects of their services. For example, their Press Wire program that sends your Press Release electronically to 14,000 media outlets. Where did I find my academic books being promoted? In the financial sections of these media outlets, and not to my target audience found in the academic, history, biography, or even literature, areas.
(I also discovered my university level academic book on classical music categorised as a “children's book”.)
However, the major problems developed with royalty accounting. I began keeping a record of the copies available of my new two-volume work at Amazon US, UK, Canada, and their Marketplace vendors. (This is practically the only way you can discern how many books may be selling in the public domain.) Considering this is Print On Demand, when a number of available copies drops, you can expect it to be a sale since stores have no reason to keep raising and dropping the numbers unless they make a sale and then re-list the book. (For the record, I withdrew all my publications from Authorhouse June 14th 2010.)
Authorhouse's numbers were way below the daily tallies I kept from the Amazon numbers, they only reported between 10% and maybe up to 20% of the sales on any given quarter. Today for example, I received the worst report yet: they reported only 1 copy of Volume One sold in the second quarter (April 1 to June 14th, the time I withdrew my publications from them), and only 3 copies for Volume 2. According to my numbers from the Amazon rankings and marketplace sellers in the US, Canada and UK: 28 copies of Volume 1 sold, and 27 of Volume 2. Therefore they have reported only 4% of the sales, and they obviously are pocketing the rest. And this does not include other sales that may have been made through other sellers like Barnes and Noble, etc.
However, there is no way to be compensated for these discrepancies, Authorhouse demands you provide receipts of all sales as proof of your claim—how on earth do you track such receipts? Authorhouse knows it's an impossibility. Of course, Nielsen Book Scan offers sales report services, but you cannot use them to reclaim royalties, or display or disclose your sales report to any third party as Nielsen deems such action a breach of trademark confidentiality and would possible incur a lawsuit.
The simplest answer would be to cancel all contracts with Authourhouse, but this is not as easy as they make it out to be. To date, they continue to reassure me my books are no longer in print, but as I have discovered today (September 7), they are still listed with UK wholesale distributors as available within 5 days as Print on Demand, so they are technically still available by Authorhouse illegally.
1st Books / Authorhouse in my estimation is the most disreputable company allowed to carry on a business offering a sham service to the public, robbing authors of the fruits of their labours. Surely they are required to have a business license to operate as all other businesses? How can any state issue a license and continue to allow such a rogue business like this to continue? They are operating on such a large scale, and if they are doing this to every author, then one must consider the possibility they are committing grand larceny on a massive scale. They claim to have thousands of authors with their company.
Authors Beware: if you are considering publishing your book using Print On Demand, stay well away from this company. Even if they paid all the royalties, they do little or nothing to help promote your work, but expect you to pay additional hundreds and even thousands for various promotion packages that provide little if no results. For those of you poor authors who now hold a contract with Authorhouse publishing your work, my sympathies go out to all of you.

| I was an employee of Merlin Direct Ltd. Our boss Duncan Barley owes us 6wks of wages 6 of us were in full time employment as of 20/07/2010 and we have only recieved £100 to keep us going. Errol Graham of Phone Solutions was in talks of buying 60% of Merlin Direct Ltd meaning he would take on any debt etc. Now we are told Duncan and him own 50/50 and Errol would pay us 4wks of wages and Duncan the other 2 previously owed. Duncan has run off to Newcastle and cannot be contacted. I spoke with Errol and after weeks of being told by his colleague Jason that our wages were being sorted he now tells me he has not signed anything with Duncan and that it is Duncan we need to speak to re wages, when 2weeks ago Errol spoke to me and 4 others and said we would be paid last working day of August everything we are owed. Now he says it is Duncans responsibility. And during my first few months with Duncan he paid us all cash at the end of the month he put on our pay slips we paid tax but it never went to the tax man and I have got evidence. I spoke to Errol and told him it would be escalated as we are owed money and he wanted to end the call there and then - if that wasn't what a guilty man would say I dont know what is. Please can somebody help. 6 people are owed money and we do not know where else to turn. everytime we asked about work contracts we kept getting fobbed off. so we were never under contract but have proof that we worked there.
