| Me and my friend wanted to buy some milk one night, so we drove to this Petro Canada gas station on McCowan and Steeles at around 12:30 am on Saturday, July 24, 2010. My friend (who used to work at that gas station), told me that there was this "nice and calm" guy by the name of AMGAD who worked the weekday night shifts over there. As soon as I drove to that gas station and pulled up near the front customer parking area where AMGAD could see all the pumps and the entry to the store, he then looked at me and gave me an ANGRY LOOK. At first I thought that maybe he was tired of his work but that was not the case because as soon as my friend got out of the car, he then signalled at AMGAD just to say "Hi!" to him but then AMGAD went over the intercom and ANGRILY looked at my friend and said to the both of us: "GET THE FUCK OFF THE PREMISES!" I was then shocked to hear what he said to us but my friend didn't seemed shocked otherwise cause then he thought that AMGAD was "maybe joking with him." But then AMGAD again went over to the intercom and then gave a SERIOUS LOOK at my friend and said to him angirly "GET YOU AND YOUR FRIEND OFF THE FUCKING PREMISES NOW!" So we drove off and got milk at another store. After we bought the milk from the other store, my friend told me that he couldn't believe of what AMGAD just said to him and that he knew AMGAD for about 4 months (AMGAD was actually working at that gas station for about 4 MONTHS which makes him a "new guy" for that location.) and that he never fought or argued with AMGAD and that he was pretty "cool" with him. However, I also found out that this AMGAD wasn't so "nice and calm"after all when my friend told me that whenever he went over there to visit AMGAD and a BLACK CUSTOMER would come in and leave, he would constantly harass my friend if he "knew" that Black guy or not and why they always come late at that time. I then noticed that AMGAD was racist and prejudiced against his African Canadian customers. So this why I am writing this complaint, to battle against racism and prejudice at Petro Canada. I urge anyone who visits this location or anyone who is reading this complaint to call head office or the owner of this Petro Canada franchise and complain about AMGAD's evil and ignorant actions towards the African Canadian community in Markham, Ontario. The owner or general manager of that Petro Canada location should teach Amgad of how to properly deal with the customers and if he (AMGAD) fails to learn or comply to the instructions given to him by his superiors, then he should be dismissed or resign. I will not tolerate any racism or prejudice when I want to buy something from some store. Petro Canada should know that as well; that racism and prejudice is NOT tolerated in the business world. I WILL NEVER go to that location to fill up on gas or buy something from the store OR ANY OTHER PETRO CANADA location for that matter. Petro Canada has just lost a customer (me) because of AMGAD'S racist remarks and attitude towards his customers and Petro Canada will continue to lose more customers IF they don't do something about it. So if anybody, and I mean ANYBODY had a conflict with Amgad then please call his General Managers at (905) 470 0616 and tell them about Amgad's racist remarks and poor services with you or your friends. Racism should NOT be tolerated on any business premises and I sure hope Petro Canada would NOT be pleased about Amgad or his racist attitudes with Petro Canada's customers.

After we had a power cut in our house, we called for an electrician. The power cut was caused by a faulty power socket. Unfortunately we couldn't check reviews when searching for a trader, because our PC didn't work neither. So we had to rely on Thompson local and on trademarks. We phoned the company 1st ACCESS Ltd.com who told us that half an hour labour work would be charged with 59 pounds. We knew that it wouldn't take a long time to fix the problem so we agreed. When the electrician arrived (later as promised) he had to leave again after checking the problem in order to get a spare part. The offer to accompany him to the closest DIY shop was declined for safety reasons (no passengers allowed). Before he left he made my partner sign the first part of a contract where somewhere rather hidden was quoted that they would charge one hour's labour for collection if required. Surprisingly the full hour was required indeed, although the warehouse was apparently only a few miles away from our home. After the electrician completed his job, he gobsmacked us with a bill of 217 pounds for not more than 30 min labour work. That is disgusting and we will never ever phone this company again. The lady on the phone wouldn't put us through to the manager. We feel that companies like this should be stripped off their trademarks as many customers rely on trademarks when searching for a company. | |||||||||

| Applied on the internet for non-standard car loan. Next thing, LAURENCE CAMPBELL from Bentley Cooper phoned to say he could do it, charged me a £99.99 fee. I received a "pre-approval letter" and had to sign and return it.
Spent a month chasing them for news on my loan, until I finally got them to admit that they had never submitted one to a lender, and were unable to do so.
I had been assured at the outset that my fee was refundable, so wrote in as requested asking for refund. Three months later, these crooks are no longer answering their phone BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| I to have had problems with Fastway Couriers and will not use them further. In short they are a RIP OFF!
They do not provide a next day service like other couriers even though they promise this.
They pay others couriers (and then stick their inflated charge on top) to deliver your parcel as they do not cover most of the areas in the UK. This includes the capital, London. Say no more...
My experience of this is that they go through multiple hold bays and depots and your parcel is nearly always damaged. Expect to get a comical story of why they cant compensate your parcel when they damage it.
There are lots of good couriers out there and half the price.

A cautionary tale about the very dodgy and dubious business ethics of the people at Enzo Motors, 183 Bridge Street, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B70 0DJ.
I saw a Mercedes Benz advertised on www.Autotrader.co.uk on Thursday 5th August, 2010, phoned up and got the details, nice car, low mileage, service history, blah, blah, blah. The advert says 6 months tax.
I looked at the car on Friday 6th 2010 and decided to buy it. Paid cash and picked it up the following week, Friday 13th August 2010. Negotiated £50 of the price. Got it home and then realised, no 6 months tax as advertised.
Must be a mistake I thought so I emailed and asked for the tax and got told it was a mistake by Autotrader and as I hadn't paid the full asking price tax was not included.
So I wrote back and told them that it was not my problem and would they please provide the tax as advertised. I also got the distinct impression that as Autotrader don't actually write the copy for the adverts that Enzo Motors were lying through their back teeth about this. This was later confirmed by Autotrader.
They then again said that as I hadn't paid full price they had "waived" the tax and offered me my money back if I returned the car.
So they waived the tax did they – I wish they had told me that at the time. And they were quite happy to see me drive out of the garage in a car that was not road legal. What sort of people are these?
I could take the car back but as I live 60 miles away and I do need transport it's really just not worthwhile to go through this whole exercise. Which is probably what they are hoping for.
So be warned. They claim you will have “peace of mind” - don't you believe it. Once they have your money, they will do absolutely nothing for you in the event of a problem, despite what they promise.
I emailed them back and said it was people like them who gave second hand car salesmen a bad name and I certainly wouldn't be recommending them to anyone I know, in fact just the opposite.
Which is what I'm doing . . .

I have not yet returned the form, i don't knoew how they done it, there was a payment of £59.00 from my account.
I tried to call them, i sent an e-mail...i cannot get through to anyone.
I was told on the phone i would not be charged untill they found me a lender but, they haven't told me anything do far...

| Well well well...don't I feel stupid. I had a council tax bill to pay, and that's the kind of thing I don't like to leave waiting, so rather than leave it til payday I thought I'd absent-mindedly browse for a quick loan to bridge the gap. The loan centre was one of a few different sites I looked at, and when they asked for my card details I assumed, after what they had written on their website and the application form, that this was because they needed to know where to deposit my loan money. Lo and behold, £47.50 disappeared from my account. I was not going to take that lying down, so after googling a bit of advice I thought I'd post my correspondence with them on here in the hope that maybe it'll help someone else! I have had a payment taken from my account for £47.50 and I want to know why and want it refunded. If I don't get a response and the matter resolved with an immediate refund within 24 hours I will be referring the issue to the FSA along with trading standards.
I will be escalating this matter to the police after finding out on google that I am not the only this has happened to. I want this dealt with now.

Legally you are required to allow at least a 7 day ‘cooling off’ period for members to cancel and get a refund. Don’t feed me any more of your bullshit, I was completely misled by your website. You do not state what this one off charge will be in your terms at all, I don’t want “updates on a regular basis of all of the latest offers in the UK financial products and discounts market”, I want my money back, and I want it NOW.

I am now beginning court proceedings against you. You have 1 hour to respond.
*After this, I receive a phone call on the morning of Aug 17th from Harry Williams, a customer services manager. He tells me ‘so you didn’t read the term and conditions when agreeing to payment’ etc, and basically seems very experienced in making people feel stupid for getting into this situation. I stand my ground, and tell him that while he may get away with what he does for now, we both now that it cannot be entirely legal and is pretty much stealing. I also mention the flood of similar cases I have found on the internet, which he explains away as ‘2% of our customer base’. I just laugh at this and tell him yeah, sure it is. The phonecall ends after he tells me that I will be receiving a refund within 30 days of them receiving a written request. I had sent this the night before recorded delivery, so we shall wait and see. I did ask him for a contact telephone number, but he said they deal with customer services online only, and he only rang me to ensure the matter had been resolved. I.e. to make sure I wasn’t going to follow up on my threats. I then received the following confirmation email, another copy and paste job.*

I recently enrolled at an online university called RISE University. They are apparantly in UK and in USA. I paid 99 pound for enrollment and I had to pay another 2oo pounds for my materials (which is an online classroom). The website looks great and the materials are very professional. After I finished studying, I wrote the online test. When I got the results, the computer had changed some of my answers to different ones and marked them wrong. When I phoned them about it they said that the software sometimes does that and that they will correct it manually. This is however done on purpose, because on the website you can choose to redo the test for 480 pounds. I think they change your marks so you can get lower marks and pay to take the test again. They kept telling me they will fix it in 2 hours or tomorrow. This was about a month ago. They also told me to pay another 99 pounds to get my graduation pack including my certificate and my transcripts. I paid and they said I will receive in in 7 days. It is a month later and I haven't received anything. I have phoned them every single day just to get the phone put down when they here is it me calling. They told me that the university has existed for 10 years, but nowhere can I find anything about them on the internet. They also claim to be accredited by the International Accreditation Organization, but this is also not true. They also have an online chat. As soon as they see it is me chatting, they log off. The names of the two people who lied to me and stole my money is Chris Anderson from America and Ben Taylor from the UK. Ok, this is a long weird one so bear with me please!
I had some minor damage to my car well over a year ago... a small dent and some scrapes along the rear wing. I had a 'Chips Away franchise' chap quote for it. He said he could do the dent and paintwork for £129.
I duly went ahead with the work and wasn't overwhelmed with the result. Firstly, the dent couldn't be repaired by him (he said) because there was already filler in it (???). Secondly, the paint he used did not match my car at all.
I had him come back another day to have another go at it. He did the paintwork again (managed to spill it all over the drive too) and this time it was slightly better. I stupidly thought it would improve as it 'dried' or whatever but it didn't. Over time, it looked worse and worse and there was no way it was matching. People started to comment. To make matters worse, he had attempted to blend his horrid paint in and had blended it onto the rear door (which had no damage previously) and the rear bumper (and even managed to spray the black mouldings). Again, this horrific blending seemed to worsen with time.
Before I continue, remember that I was quoted £129 to fix the dent and the paint and yet I paid £129 for the paint only (I STUPIDLY forgot at the time).
Soooooo, a good year later I could cope no more with the mess of my car and I took it to a bodyshop who quoted me hundreds to respray the wing (which had only had some minor scratches to start with!!), the rear door and the rear bumper (which had both been ruined by this fool 'blending' his shoddy work). I have had the work completed by the other garage and it looks marvellous now but I just wondered if I had any cause to complain to the chap who did the original work????? I have kept photographs of his 'efforts' to show just how bad it got.

We decided to buy hot tub and we looked on Internet, was impressed with the ukhotubs site so arranged a visit. salesman called Stuart came where discussions included where hot tub was made, I specifically discussed that i did not want any dealings with the Far East because of the bad reports id heard and was assured that hot tub made and shipped from America which as we found out at a later date was lies, it comes from the Far east, as was where the gazebo we were ordering was being made, being told it was made in the uk where in fact in one of our various telephone conversations with the Trade Price Group it is made in the Far East. We paid a a deposit of £4250 on 20/05/10 with remainder paid on delivery, salesman would not accept credit card so we paid by cheque, delivery of hot tub we were assured would be 6 weeks. A few weeks later a phonecall from Trade Price Group asking for remainder of balance so they could ship our hot tub,we were very reluctant to pay but foolishly agreed we would pay £3000 with balance of £1250 on delivery, a man came personally to pick up cheque with assurance that we would have a delivery date when we returned from holiday. We phoned on 12th July 2010 when we had no delivery date to be told that customs had held up our container in the Far East!!!!!!!! At this point we looked up this company and was aghast to see all the complaints for exactly the same problems we were having. Now we are more than 12 weeks and still no delivery date despite numerous phone calls, all you get when you phone are excuses, you cannot get past the office staff to speak to the bosses, Simon Foster or Stewart Cox, couldnt even get to speak to Jonathon Husslebee who is the general manager. I have contacted Trading Standards for advice and i will be sending a letter to company requesting a full refund. Has anyone managed to get a full refund from this company?

I WAS SLIGHTLY LOW ON CASH, I TRIED TO APPLY FOR A LOAN, BUT DECIDE TO GO AGAINST IT AFTER FILLING OUT SEVERAL BITS AND BOBS.
LOW AND BEHOLD WHEN MY SALARY WENT INTO MY ACCOUNT £67.50 WAS DEDUCTED, AT NO TIME DID THESE SMALL TIME FIRMS HAVE AUTHORISATION FROM MYSELF TO DEDUCT MONIES, AS FOR SMALL PRINTS THERE WAS NONE, I HAVE EMAILED BUT NO RESPONSE.
I AM NOT ONE TO BE WALKED OVER AND BY GOD I WILL FIGHT THIS TILL THE END..... I WORK TOO DAMN HARD FOR THIS LITTLE CASH FOR SOME COMPLETE IDIOTS TO TAKE JUST LIKE THAT..... I AM SO IRRATED AT THIS MOMENT

i bought a tshirt from clothing planet and when i got it the sleeves wasnt made right i told clothing planet and they told me to send a photo i couldent do it so i sent it back for a full refund and i still havent got my money back it cost me 32.98 plus 5pounds 37 to send it back | |||||||||

I sent you this claim on 29th July.It has not been printeddid you receive it?.Please email me if not received and I will be happy to type it out again. we are pensioners and cannotafford to lose this sum of money. This co.have been ripping off the public for some time,you published a similar claim from a lady on 2/4/09.Please help us to get our money back.We are also contacting our local Mp.Zac Goldsmith and local paper.

I ordered the free trial in june 2010 i paid £5.56 for postage.. Without my permission they then sent me two more packets of the tea and charged my bank £114.14 since this I hve e-mailed several times with no result, I returned the tea on 20/07/2010 registered mail which they received on 21/07/2010. they did do an online chat and cancelled any future orders and sent me a reference number saying they would refund, but I have had nothing and have again tried to talk to them and email with no results. the id number is bms-966377 | |||||||||
