Lean Body Burn »13/07/2010yes15/07/20100

Following a website advertisement for Fat burn supplements. I decided to try a free sample of the product. I was only interested as I only had to pay for the shipping of the "Muscle Max XL " supplement pills a total of $3.87. There was no trial period that I had to sign up to, so I genuinely believed it was a good product and they were obviously a large company confident there product worked and they had repeat customers as a result of their free sample. I know companies offer free samples of their products to maximise their potential sales, so it did not appear unusual. I have never been scammed before so had no reason to disbelieve what I was agreeing too. Subsequently, I received an email on 02/07/2010 stating the order had been confirmed and that I did not have to reply to that email. The free sample didn't arrive and I thought no more of it until my wife realised that the Lean Body Burn company had taken a total of two transactions the 1st being for £2.58 ($3.87), which I did authorise. This also incurred an overseas charge of £1.25 which was not mentioned on their advert. The 2nd transaction which was a fraudulent transaction was on the 13th of May 2010 for £60.39 ($87.47) and another £1.25 overseas charge. I had not authorised this transaction, had not ordered anything and did not receive any goods. The persons involved in this unlawful scam need to be caught and I wish the appropriate law enforcement agency the best in bringing them to justice. I am happy to provide a statement if required (marcoverton@btinternet.com)

RISE University FRAUD »June-July 2010no15/07/20100

I recently enrolled at an online university called RISE University. They are apparantly in UK and in USA. I paid 99 pound for enrollment and I had to pay another 2oo pounds for my materials (which is an online classroom). The website looks great and the materials are very professional. After I finished studying, I wrote the online test. When I got the results, the computer had changed some of my answers to different ones and marked them wrong. When I phoned them about it they said that the software sometimes does that and that they will correct it manually. This is however done on purpose, because on the website you can choose to redo the test for 480 pounds. I think they change your marks so you can get lower marks and pay to take the test again. They kept telling me they will fix it in 2 hours or tomorrow. This was about a month ago. They also told me to pay another 99 pounds to get my graduation pack including my certificate and my transcripts. I paid and they said I will receive in in 7 days. It is a month later and I haven't received anything. I have phoned them every single day just to get the phone put down when they here is it me calling. They told me that the university has existed for 10 years, but nowhere can I find anything about them on the internet. They also claim to be accredited by the International Accreditation Organization, but this is also not true. They also have an online chat. As soon as they see it is me chatting, they log off. The names of the two people who lied to me and stole my money is Chris Anderson from America and Ben Taylor from the UK. The website is www.riseuniversity.com. 1-877-849-RISE (7473) 0800-635-RISE (7473) These are the two numbers given on the website. I have also emailed them probably about 20 times and had no reply. They have my bank details, and I am affraid they might steal my money. The emails I have is [care@riseuniversity.com] (link: mailto:care@riseuniversity.com) and canderson@riseuniversity.com. At this point I just want my money back. They have lied to me and took money from me for no reason and wasted my time I could have used to study something legit. Please someone help me.

BEWARE....This Jewellers has stolen gold links out of my bracelet and broken the face of my Gucci watch. I now have to take him to the small claims court, what a hassle. Taking about this to others i have heard other horror stories about this shop....such as a friends three stone engagement ring having only one real diamonds and two Cubic zirconia which she identified in the ultra violet rays in a night club, when she had it checked out she was told only one stone was a diamond, when she challenged Jerry (Proprietor) about this he denied it and sold it was all diamond when he sold it. It appears he thinks he can do as he wishes and then just deny it, worst of all he is getting away with it as there is no protection without loads of personal hassle.

Robbed me of my money »25/06/10no15/07/20100
I'd say it's very easy for a person to be seduced by the prospect of easy money, especially when you find yourself in financial difficulty. I came across this website after doing a search on google, recieved a call the next day from this "Strangers in the night company" who claimed to be the UKs no 1 companion agency.Whatever. To cut a long story short; they were in constant communication with me until they managed to convince me to pay them a £250 registration fee, as they had secured me a lunch booking with a businessman on the monday 28/06/10, for which I would recieve £500 (I found it hard to believe that anyone would cough up that amount of money for a spot of lunch, but I just put it down to the fact that some people have more money than sense). Anyway, lo and behold, after I made the payment the client for reasons best known to himself was unable to attend the booking. And naturally the comapny were most apologetic and told me they would find me something else, haven't heard a peep from them since. I have nothing in my account, totally penniless, and would just like to say to Lottie (the woman who dealt with me) and every other member of this comapny: "Well done! I'm sure your families would be proud." Seriously, instead of anger I feel pity. Pity that these people lack the required amount of intelligence with which to get a decent job.

Escort Agency Scam »13/07/10no14/07/20102
My brother was informed by a guy he works with called Luke Smith (this guy said that he paid the money and earnt £500 from a booking), of an escorting agency that asks you to pay a registration fee of £150 and then provides you with 6/8 bookings per month each paying a minimum of £360. So i decided to register, the website of the bogus company is:- http://www.design-dating.co.uk/contact I completed the online application form and received an email on the morning of 13/07/10 ....... Delectable Dating 27 Old Gloucester Street London WC1N 3CX t.0871-2189324 info@delectable-dating.co.uk 13/07/10 Ref. PSEGHJY Good Morning, Thank you for recently submitting your application to Delectable Dating as a professional Male Escort. We have gone through your application and have found that we will be able to match you immediately with a number of our clients and feel we would be able to supply you with a decent level of work, i.e. between 6 and 8 bookings per month. We have already secured a guaranteed booking for you and it will take place on Thursday 15 /07/10. It will be in the region that you specified in your application and the booking will begin at approximately 9 pm. If this booking goes well she also wishes to book you for the following week too. It will be a hotel based booking and she is a regular client of ours who has used our service a number of times in the past. She is in her late twenties and has requested a three hour booking with someone new on our books. We have recommended you for this booking. We try and get everyone on our books a booking in the first instance as this is the only way we have of ascertaining whether or not you will be suitable for the role of a Male Escort. Your payment for the evening will be a minimum of 360 pounds. This amount will be paid to you in cash(all your payments will be cash) at the beginning of the booking and the client will pay for any expenses incurred. The client will contact you prior to the booking to discuss her requirements for the evening, these will be what you should wear and where and what the booking will consist of, e.g. dinner, drinks etc. and of course which hotel to meet in. In the event the booking goes over the three hour period we ask that you continue to charge at 120 pounds per hour. Please note there is no obligation on either party for anything other than a social booking to take place. In order to accept this booking and to become active on our system we need to hold a deposit from you which equates to you first three commission payments. Therefore you will need to make a payment of 150 pounds to our bank account. This can be done at any HSBC Bank. The details are as follows. Account Name: L.L.S. Account Number: 54304969 Sort Code: 40-47-31. This can be done across the counter by cash or by online banking.(Sorry no cheques will be accepted) Once you make payment please text confirmation to 07624809884 quoting your name and the reference at the top of this page. We ask for these commission payments in advance from you as a commitment on your part so that we know you will actually turn up at the booking and are completely serious about joining us and becoming a professional Male Escort. Usually when people make a financial commitment like this they will honour it. The last thing we want to happen is for a client to be left on her own without the escort turning up, this would reflect very badly on us and we would probably lose the client for good which is something we cannot afford to happen. We get a lot of people who claim they want to do this work but unfortunately we have found in the past that sometimes this is not always the case. We also quite regularly get other Escort Agencies pretending to be escorts so they can sabotage our bookings that is why we have to have this upfront component. Please Note. This is not a registration fee but a commission deposit therefore you will not lose this money as it will be used as commission for bookings completed, if bookings do not take place for any reason whatsoever and you want your deposit returned we will honour this request. Once we receive payment we will then start the activation process and assign the booking to you. Once payment is received both we and the client will contact you with all relevant information pertaining to the booking. This payment needs to be made as soon as possible. So that we can assign the booking to you. If you have any other queries please feel free to call us on 0871-2189324 text us on 07624809884 or email us on info@delectable-dating.co.uk and we can answer any questions that you may have. I look forward to speaking and working with you very soon. Best Regards Diane Harris. Delectable Dating, I then started to get text messages from the mobile number above explaining that a client had made a booking and it was mine if i wanted it providing i paid the money into the specified account above. I called my mother, she put the money in the HSBC account This can be done at any HSBC Bank. The details are as follows. Account Name: L.L.S. Account Number: 54304969 Sort Code: 40-47-31. and i then followed the instructions, text the mobile number with the reference details and i received a reply saying that they had got the money. My mother has a recept to prove this deposit (transaction reference 9019). The person texting from the mobile number said that her name was Sara. 'Sara' said that the booking had been confirmed and that she would call me on my lunch break to confirm minor details.I did not receive a call i just somehow had a voicemail sent to my phone. I was told that the client would call me this morning (14/07/10) to explain her requirements and how the booking would work. I'd heard nothing by mid morning so i desperately began to call the numbers above, but neither connected. I started to text the number and Sara responded saying that the booking had been rearranged to next week because of a business commitment with the client, i was told that they would attempt to sort me out another booking between now and then. When i got home i googled Delectable Dating and came across this web page:- http://www.canyoutrustthem.com/index.php?go=details&id=12946&adv=&company_name=&city=&list=yes&offsetf=0 i then typed in the address at the top of my email (above), and came across this page:- http://www.svbizlaw.com/emails.macnapolono.htm I called the mobile number that was linked to the address (07985127063) and an oldish lady answered. I explained the situation about the scam i had been involved in and she said that she had never heard anything about it. However, she did sound exactly like the woman that recorded the voicemail that was sent to my phone. I've basically been scammed out of £150, you can see the evidence above that bogus companies are operating under this address and bank account and the telephone numbers may lead to more information. Personally i think the guy that my brother works with may have something to do with it, i've spoke to Luke and he swears blind that he went on the date and got paid £500. Other people are clearly being ripped off also so it is definitely something that needs to be looked at.

Taken from the SmartABC web site, written over the Mercedes logo!! we have the statement:- THEY IDENTIFIED OUR SUCCESS. Chosen by Mercedes Benz as a leading uk business to focus their attention...........the truth is Smart abc has a failure rate of nearly 70%, over 34 franchisees have ceased trading and another 30 are seriously struggling, so I ask, What success are they going on about? I had a Smartabc franchise which also involved the purchase of Mercedes vito van on HP. I now know that I was lied to by Nick Bicknell, Jamie May and John Seddon, between them they told me that everyone would be successful and that everyone would make alot of money. John Seddon from Mudie Bond also told me specially not to worry because he said " I used to sell vans for another smart repair company and they were ALL very successful too. NO ONE FAILED" ( When someone says "ALL" that to me means 100%) I now know that John Seddon lied to me about the success rate. What I don't understand is why a big company like Mudie Bond Mercedes-Benz allows the actions of John Seddon to continue, because with the high rate of vans being returned from SmartABC failed franchisees, they must be aware of the failure rate, but the scam still continues...........Well Mr John Seddon of Mudie Bond Mercedes-Benz I want all my money back.............................

You need to write to them at VERITABLE FINANCE LIMITED t/a The Loan Centre 46 Alexandra Street, Southend On Sea, Essex, ss1 1bj 2 things you can do. 1) If you have been given a cooling off period then you can cancel your membership and request a full refund minus £5 for admin fees 2) If no cooling off period was given, which by law is 7 days then you must write to them stating "Under the Consumer protection distance selling regulations 2000" that you have not been given a cooling off period and therefore they have broken the law. This info is direct from trading standards, I have listed a case with them, why don't you all do the same and lets get these theiving scumm.

I was directed to this companies internet page from a search engine. I half completed the full application online and decided the company were not what i was looking for and exited the website. They then promptly debited my account for a registration fee and monthly subsricption. A massive amount seems they never actually did anything for me at all. In the terms and condtions it says they will debit £ 9 a month but £ 67.50 is a joke.

Fraudulent dealings with this company »July 5no14/07/20100
Anatolian Sky are a disgrace to the travel industry. We had booked an apartment with them, through our normal travel agents Aspen Travel, for the last two weeks of August, in Kalkan, Turkey. They sent a letter on June 18 asking us to sign acceptance of roadworks at the apartment block which had shut off the main access road and closed the car park. The apartment is at the top of a hill. We have two children, one in a buggy. We said we didn't want to accept this and asked to be booked elsewhere. First they said there was nothing available in Kalkan. Then they said they had no availabilty to fly on August 14, even though we had booked and confirmed flights to Dalaman on August 14. Then they went quiet for almost two weeks. They refused to speak with us, they stonewalled Aspen Travel. Day after day after day they made excuses and didn't answer calls or emails. Finally on July 5 they claimed to have taken advice from ABTA and said they would not refurn our deposit should we cancel and would not book us elsewhere. That was £500. We had no choice but to cancel. We have taken the case to ABTA to get a proper ruling from them but I would seriously WARN EVERYBODY never to deal with Anatolian Sky. Our agent said she'd never seen anything like them. They refused to take calls, answer questions, do anything to help, and then claimed to have ABTA on their side. It's outfits like Anatolian Sky that give the travel industry a bad name. We now have no summer holiday for the kids and they have stolen our £500.

I ordered a green evening dress, after several weeks I was told that the dress would be sent in time for my cruise. After several emails and a conversation with a lady called Lili, I was told that the dress was not available and they would refund my money. After several weeks I called and was told they had a cash flow problem, but i could choose another dress. I chose another dress and several weeks later i was told that they were still having problems. It has been a year todate and I am getting nowhere.

DEPOSIT SCAM »12 jULY 2010no13/07/20101
just like Divine Dating this company says they have a guaranteed booking but need you to pay a GBP 150 deposit. Of course, once the money is paid, nothing then happens. When I accused them of doing the same scam as Divine Dating, their e-mail was identical, they said " Oh no they are copying us not the other way around". Strange that the e-mail from Divine Dating, to another person on this site, was sent weeks before the onbe from Delectable Dating, so who is copying who ? I did not pay but you need to be warned. Below is the e-mail they sent Good Morning, Thank you for recently submitting your application to Delectable Dating as a professional Male Escort. We have gone through your application and have found that we will be able to match you immediately with a number of our clients and feel we would be able to supply you with a decent level of work, i.e. between 6 and 8 bookings per month. We have already secured a guaranteed booking for you for you and it will take place on Thursday 15 /07/10. The last thing we want to happen is for a client to be left on her own without the escort turning up, this would reflect very badly on us and we would probably loose the client for good which is something we cannot afford to happen. We get a lot of people who claim they want to do this work but unfortunately we have found in the past that sometimes this is not always the case. We also quite regularly get other Escort Agencies pretending to be escorts so they can sabotage our bookings that is why we have to have this upfront component. Please Note. This is not a registration fee but a commission deposit therefore you will not loose this money as it will be used as commission for bookings completed, if bookings do not take place for any reason whatsoever and you want your deposit returned we will honour this request.
